"Nothing Unlike A Home"

On his way home, Akimitsu had remembered that if he headed back home, his siblings won't even bother opening the door for him since he didn't have the key while the rain was starting to fall and they've always hated and ignored Akimitsu. Akimitsu knew that Kane would only act nice when he's around the presence of their parents. And Yui would rarely come out of her room when their parents aren't home and so Akimitsu planned to stroll around the town until the evening when his parents are back from work.

While walking, he saw the same group of popular students that had teased him at school, near the convenience store. They were hanging out there while smoking and drinking cigarettes. Akimitsu didn't want anything to do about them at all and decided to go inside the convenience store while wearing his cap to avoid eye contact and keep a low profile with Kane's friends.

While being inside, he went in to grab bottled water on one of the shelves on the aisles, and suddenly, one of the popular students knocked him over and made him fell onto the ground.

"Are you blind?" one of them said.

Akimitsu helped himself up and he tries to avoid eye contact with them. After he had paid, he went to walk to a nearby hill where he could see almost the entire neighborhood.

While lying on the ground, he gazed upon the stars and thought to himself. "What's the point of being here. Why is my life so terrible? I hate everyone...". Suddenly, appeared a boy, he had blonde hair and facial features that are quite an attraction to girls at his age due to his look which resembles a male idol and he had the uniform of the same school as Akimitsu was, which Akimitsu guessed that he was also a student at the same school as Akimitsu was. The boy looked as if he was the same age as Akimitsu was and he was sitting next to Akimitsu. Akimitsu didn't notice him until he spoke,

"Hmm... What are you looking at?" the boy said.

"Who are you?! How did you know I was here?" Akimitsu replied in shock while sitting on the ground.

"Well sorry to startle you... the name's Haru. I saw you alone here and wondered what you might've been doing."

"Oh, nothing of interest I guess." Akimitsu responded.

"Hm, and who are you?" Haru asked.

"I'm Akimitsu Itsuki." Akimitsu replied.

"Oh wait, you're that new student that got teased at school, aren't you? Akimitsu?" Haru said while sitting beside Akimitsu.

"Yeah..." Akimitsu responded.

Akimitsu's phone suddenly rang.

"You're expecting someone?" Haru asked.

"Ya, I better get going.". Akimitsu spoke while walking off.

"Oh well, see Ya soon, Akimitsu." Haru shouted from afar.

On the phone, it was Akimitsu's younger sister, Yui.

"Hey blockhead, get back home. Our parents are already blabbering about you. Don't make us get caught in your own mistakes, can you?"

Yui had called him to acknowledge that their parents were looking for him and that they're already infuriated because of how he wasn't there to clean up the house and do his chores and that Kane and Yui would end up getting yelled and scolded at.

When he got home, his parents were mad at him for being late and for forgetting to clean up the house.

"What were you doing out late at night? You didn't even bother to do your chores. What's got into you?" spoke Akimitsu's Mother.

"Your siblings had to do all of your work for you. You should be like Kane. A hardworking person and stop being such a lazy slacker before I kick you out." his father continued.

Akimitsu was saddened to see how his parents only scolded him while Kane and Yui were giggling at the back. After being scolded, Akimitsu went back to his room and only sat on his bed while the window opened which only a ray of moonlight slightly enlightened the room, Akimitsu had a horrible start to his first day at school and his first day in a new neighborhood. He remembered what Midori had told him while in his class. Saddened, Akimitsu held his sharp scissors in his grasp onto his neck. He was preparing and his mind was urging him to end his own life. Suddenly, tears started to roll down his face. The urge to kill himself was getting stronger and stronger. His mind wanted to end it all, while his body was trying to survive.

"Everyone gets a bad start at the first thing they do." Immediately, Akimitsu remembered Midori's motivational words gave Akimitsu faith in his life and stopped him from giving up in his life and keep on going forward. Akimitsu thought to himself,

"Perhaps Midori was right... not all the first thing we start to do would end flawlessly.".

Akimitsu then placed away from his scissors after reconsidering his life and death decision. He had chosen to live.
