The Start of It All pt 2

Me and Logan were walking down the streets of New York city. We were a strange pair to hang out but hes one of the few people I've come to rely on throughtout the years.

"Alright bub whats the catch. We both know youre too busy to just come for a walk." The stoic Canadian was always a straight to the point guy. Him and Laura had that in common, to the point where they didnt know how to speak to each other at first.

I slow down and watch the people walk past and around me, "Its beautiful city isn't it Logan." We watch as Gwen thwips overhead in her GhostSpider outfit off to save the city "Its so amazing how much happens here, yet the city remains unfazed."

"Get to the point kid."

I stop and look at the man who is technically my step father and i announce "Im taking a break Logan. From the day you met us ive been on a survival high, but now what? I've survived the first wave. Ive got 5 girlfriends and a kid on the way. Ive saved this city and this planet so many times. People say Damien Nyxxus and they think CEO of that StarLabs that almost caught up to Stark despite not dealing weapons." I take a pause and look at the man.

"Im tired Logan, so im taking a break. Invincible will be there when the world really needs him but the foundation is set. OverWatch is there and its going good. The people love us, they collect action figures and Kurt even got a movie role. I want to spend some time with my family and I want you to take my place."

He blinks and a scowl appears on his face but he doesn't deny "Why me? Im not exactly the pose for the camera type."

"You don't have to be. OverWatch is public yes, we do meet and greets we sign autographs but before that all we're heroes Logan. Those who dispite the fact, take up their swords and armour and fight for those who can't. Youve been a fighter since Day 1 James. Now im offering you something more. Step up and lead those nitwits. They all respect you. Hell i respect you. Youre the only one i would trust to lead this team."

I hand out an Orange badge to him. He knows what this means. Other than me only Natalia had this badge. Me giving him this badge was a sign of faith that he could become something OverWatch needed to rise. He looks at the badge and sighs before agreeing to take it.

The badge locks to his being so only he can use it. I feel the imaginary weight off my shoulders knowing i had the perfect man for the job.

He takes one last look at the badge and pockets it before asking "So kid, what're you gonna do now?"

"Im going home, Logan. Its my turn to cook dinner." I smile at him and with a super speedy step i disappeared from the surroundings.

Moments Later

I arrive at my home and i feel great. I open the door and i see Susan walking down the stairs in a two piece light blue swimsuit. She sees me and smiles before walking over, "You're home early? Did Cho lock you out of the system again?"

I chuckle before grabbing her by the waist and planting a kiss on her lips "Maybe I came home because i missed you." She smiled and returned my kiss to me. We trade tongues back and forth before being interrupted by a beautiful african lady walking down the steps with her long flowing white hair descending behind her and a white two piece showing off her curves.

"Well i was wondering what the commotion was but i do believe im missing my invitation to the party?" I smirk a bit before turning to her and dashing around her to put my chin on her shoulder and wrap my arms around her waist.

"That's because you were invited to the after party." She purred in my arms and i see Sue pout a bit at the side. I laugh a bit before bridal carrying Ororo and rushing out to the pool in the back.

Im greeted by Natalia and Domino both laying by the pool with their feet dipped in the water. While Laura is a bit aways behind them on a bench with her headphones on and her baby bump showing.

I jump in the pool still holding Ro and man was it funny. After we emerged from the water i had 3 pissed off women looking at me with soaking wet hair while Laura was chuckling at me from the chair.

Susan walked out to see the weirdest thing. 3 super powered mutants battling against me in the biggest water wave battle available. She creates a force field as she ignores us and walks over sitting next to Laura.

"They're just like children arent they?" Sue asked Laura. She watched as Laura moved her hand and caressed her stomach "Youre gonna do great you know. I can see it. The motherly protectiveness you have. Im almost jealous but i can wait my turn. If there's anything you need you can ask me."

Laura sits there looking at the pool, at us playing around before she responds to Susan. "Do you think our family will be okay? I mean he's so strong and i feel myself getting stronger. I was even floating the other day. If i have a super baby what if i cant help it? What if i cant protect it? What if?"

She rambled before Natalia threw some water on her. She was shocked and was ready to pounce but was stopped by Ororo behind her "Laura we're all here for you. Whatever you need, whatever the baby needs. We'll provide it. Besides if the 6 of us together can't handle 1 super baby.."

"Two." interrupted Natalia with a smirk on her face. We all look over at her as she nervously smiled "I just found out this morning and i was going to wait a bit but..."

I dont wait for her to finish before i flew over and scooped her up with a kiss. The other girls got over their shock and started sending congratulations to Natalia. We all knew how much she wanted one after finding out Laura was pregnant. When she heard we could fix her womb she went through the procedure immediately and spent the most time in my room this past week. So finding out she was successful we all celebrated.

We had a barbecue party that night where we invited some of our friends and acquaintances. Now i dont mean to be a grill daddy but ribs smothered with some Namekian Pepper Sauce or burgers made topped off on Himalayan Ketchup, we just invented the foodgasm here in the Marvel verse.

Life was going great. Too bad OverWatch would get busy this year but nothing that they cant handle except probably the magneto thing which i might have to step into. Oh well lets just enjoy my time.
