Demon Lord Ramirus

Me and Mia bought two single bed rooms at the Inn to sleep in, but we didn't sleep yet. After all it was still the afternoon so we had time. After buying the room we left the in.

I used nature awareness to see if I could find the labyrinth and it seemed a bit far out. It was in another city actually.

"So the labyrinth I was talking about is in the city of Ulgracia. It's a city that worships spirits. It's not a human city so that's good." I informed Mia.

"Why didn't we just go there then?"

"Because it was easier to just get in here. After all if we showed that our ID came from a city known for killing monsters they'll be suspicious and that would be annoying."

She nodded as we walked and we continued on our walk to the gates to leave the city.

"HEY YOU!!" A loud voice came from behind us.

"Here we go." I said with a sigh as we turned around and look at that a walking cliché. It was a drunk man in low level armor with an axe on his back. Behind him was some other drunk guys.

"What do you want cannon fodder?" I said in a plain tone.

"Huh? Anyways, I wanted to let you people know that there's been talk about you lately. I overheard some people talking about hanging up on you and taking your stuff since you seem rich." He said as he took another drink from his bottle of wine.

"…" I stayed silent as I looked at him.

'I gotta stop judging people by they looks and what anime goes by.' I thought with a sigh. I took out a rather big sack of gold coins from my inventory and gave it to him.

"Thank you for the info." I said as I tapped his shoulder and we turned to leave.

I heard Mia start laughing as she tried to cover her mouth, but the smile and hunching of her shoulders showed it.

"Bruh, look at him and tell me he don't look like classic cannon fodder." I said.

"You were being such a jackass…while he was just trying to help." She said as she continued to laugh.

I just stayed silent at that.

"It's okay though." Mia said grabbing my hand.

"I ain't even worried about it." We continued to the gate and left the city. After that we started flying while keeping our presence hidden, after all we still would be sneaking into a city and a "sacred" place at that.

After a few minutes of flight we landed in front or a stone door that seemed to be embedded in a tree.

"Is this it?" Mia asked as she opened the door. I nodded and we stepped through it and the door disappeared.

"Ain't that something?" I said lowly as I looked at Mia's hand that still looked like it was gripping the doorknob.

The place we entered looked like just random stone passages and tunnels to turns and go through. We had been walking around for quite some time. I could also hear faint laughs, but it sounded like they were coming in and out of existence.

I suddenly felt a sweeping feeling across my head. Immediately I let out a burst of energy. I'm immune to mind control and anything mental, but I don't like people trying to get in my head at all.

"This is called the place where the spirits dwell right? There might be some trying to play tricks." Mia suggested.

"The spirits queen is supposed to guide hero's to spirits, but this just annoying. Let's just destroy stuff till they get sick of it and come out." I said as I pointed my finger with a small beam of energy building up on it.

"WHAAAAAAT!?!" A high pitched voice rang out around the labyrinth.

"I said we're going to-"

"I KNOW WHAT YOU SAID IDIOT!!" It yelled.

"What are you going to do about it?" I asked.

"WAIT A MOMENT!!"

"That was easy." Mia said.

"Destruction is always the answer." I said as I looked straight ahead. I saw a small glowing orb fluttering over to me. That's when I saw it up close.

A small fair with two sets of wings, sunflower yellow hair that's messy at the top but braided into twin tails.

She came in front of us, but kept glancing at Mia. Must have something to do with being part fairy or at least being bonded with one. I wonder what that spirit would rank as.

"My name is Ramirus, The fairy Queen." She said as she proudly introduced herself.

"Nice to meet you. I'm Akihito Kisaragi. A god."

"I'm Mia, another god."

The little fairy looked at us with a dead expression on her face.

"You mean Milim's friends?" She asked.

We nodded and her face turned red while she yelled at us about being stupid. I grabbed her wings and she immediately shut up.

"How would you even know Milim?" I asked as while holding her wings together.

"Me and Milim friends since we're both demon lords." She said plainly.

"Huh? She ain't even said a word about you before." I said tilting my head in confusion.

Mia hit my arm and looked at me and then pointed to Ramiris. She looked like the whole world just crashed and crumbled on her.

"What's wrong with her?" I said and I shook her. She broke free and floated up to my face.

"Me and Milim have been friends for more than 20,000 years." She said proudly.

"How young." I muttered.

"EHHHH!!!" She looked at me in shock.

I looked over to Mia who was being led somewhere by some other fairies. She seemed like she was talking with them and playing.

"That girl has a pretty high ranking spirit in her body." She said crossing her arms.

"Yeah, I guess she's half fairy in a way. You said you were a demon lord right? So this place is yours or what?" I asked.

"Yes, I am a demon lord and the queen of spirits and this place is mine. What about it?" She asked.

"I was wondering what else you have here. You don't seem all that strong."

"If all the demon lords could do was fight one Milim would be enough. I'm the demon lord of Knowledge and Beauty." She said putting a hand on her.

"…I'm not amused." I said as I stared blankly at her.

"Can you prove it?" I asked with raised eyebrows.

"Hmph! [Small World]" The moment she said that a blue light covered the room and after a while it dimmed out. What greeted me was a library that absolutely astonished me. I have a fair collection of books on magic engineering, but this is just bullshit.

"Heheheh." I heard her laughing as I looked at this place in curiosity. I heard footsteps coming over to me and I saw Mia walking over to me. While this place was fantastic it was dark, dusty, and messy.

I looked over to Ramirus and she just laughed nervously. I put my hand up and a seemingly endless amount of dust started being sucked into a different dimension completely.

After that I made balls of light to float around this place and with air manipulation I made the books go onto the right shelves. This place itself triggered my OCD from when I was human.

"So what all do you have here?" I asked. I noticed there were a lot of light spirits gathering around the light orbs and this place was slowly starting to be filled with more fairies.

"Are there any books on spirit summoning?" Mia suddenly asked. Well it was to be expected.

"Eh!? You have a spirit boned with you but can't summon it?" She asked bewildered.

"We haven't talked since she bonded with me." Mia answered with some nervousness in her voice.

"You got one?" I asked.

"I think those types of books are in section 137 on the 87 row." She said with a thinking expression. I sighed and flew up to what she was talking about and there were actually tons of books about spirits, how to summon them, how to form a bond and lastly Spirit Manifestation.

I took a few books about all of them and brought them down.

"Let's start with these." I said making a table and sitting them down. They were huge, but I feel like I can finish them in about a minute or two. I picked up like 10 books and they looked like they had about 3k pages at most.

"You can't read all that within the time you're staying here." Ramirus said with her arms crossed.

"Who said we were leaving?" Mia asked with a playful smirk. I smiled slightly with a raised eyebrow as she looked at us.

"But this is my domain!!" She said as she waved her arms.

"How about if you let us stay here for a while I can help you with that little robot you're hiding?" I said.

"HOW DID YOU KNOW!?!" She yelled.

"Anyone can feel the energy it gives off. Even I felt it when we appeared here." Mia said plainly as she looked back down at a book.

"Fiiiiiine, but only for a while, also where's the other guy Milim mentioned?"

"Oh Rimuru, he should be in the Dwarven kingdom." I said opening a book about spirit bonding. I wondered if I could mix a good spirit with a bad spirit or something like that.

"I see. Well enjoy your time here, I guess." She said and disappeared.

For the next few hours me and Mia finished a whole shelf of books about spirits. I also copied some books and put the copies in my storage. She had knowledge about engineering that I didn't know so of course I had to copy that.

She has books about beast and other stuff as well. Honestly it was easy to get distracted in this place. Well for me. I was a bit of a knowledge freak I guess. Meh, who said I can't be smart and strong.

Mia was happily soaking up the things she read and even practiced some magic she found interesting. Sometimes I played with the fairies and even let them do my hair a few times.

I'm not gonna deny or claim that I liked it, but it was an experience. They had a lot of questions as well. Like why I had so many affinities and why Mia was so good.

The way they described Mia was like a saint coming down to mortals. When I asked her about it she said that, she was suppressing the "dark side". I had the idea of making something to suppress them both invade they're always influencing her.

I wanted her to make her own decisions without the little angel and devil in her ears.

"Oi, you've been here for like a month keep up your end of our deal." Ramirus said as she floated in my ear.

"I beg your pardon?"
