(Third POV)
As Akihito and Mia flew towards Tempest at a normal pace. They tried on different accessories they made. Mia had on some star shaped earrings that was used as a mental shield to keep the voices out. She also wore a golden bracelet that let her store things in an infinite dimension that Akihito made.
It was her own personal storage. Akihito wore some black glasses that was mainly used analyze magic. The way it worked was that he used some of the same things he used to make the warframes, and it was like an AI, that told him about the magic.
That was it other than being used because he liked how they looked on him. He didn't need anything else really. As they continued to fly they both sensed something wrong. It was like a feeling was in the air that put them on edge.
"We should speed up." Mia said and flew off. She had a serious expression on her face and Akihito flew faster as well. His instincts were never wrong and the fact that this was such a strong feeling made him curious.
Honestly he wanted to see the usual faces. Mia playing with Shuna while Milim was gone. Kayda, Severus, and Mufasu being pampered and played with by the children. Hakurou, beating the shit out of Gobta.
Shion, Shuna, and Mia sometimes messing with Akihito and Rimuru out of the blue. Benimaru's usual self training, even Gabiru and his prideful self getting work done. As he thought about this he laughed a bit at how different he sounded from when he was a normal human.
Souei, would usually be on patrol, but when he stopped by he would play a few games with Akihito. Like chess and stuff.
Mia was just as worried. She felt a lot of holy energy a few seconds ago and wanted to confirm her suspicions. She treated Shion and Shuna as sisters with her and Shion being big sisters with Shuna being the little sister.
At the end to both Mia and Akihito, they treated them as family more than anything. They made it back to the forest and they immediately saw the two barrier that had been put up. They floated down and looked at this barrier.
"What is this?" Akihito asked.
[It's an anti-magic barrier. The spell was casted from inside the barrier and it's effects are to decrease magiculs within the area]
"We can pass." Mia said as she walked through it. Akihito didn't say anything and walked through the barrier easily. The moment they stepped in Mia immediately froze in her steps.
She could feel all of the emotions in peoples hearts, the emotional energy they give off and everything in between. She was hit hard when she stepped through that barrier.
Akihito walking over and asked her what's wrong and all she could say was what she was feeling.
"Anger, Despair, Hatred, and Murderous intent. Something bad happened." She said as she took a deep breath. The bracelet and earrings let her not hear voices in her head, but the emotions themselves can still influence her.
Akihito knew he would have to keep her in check, but even he was starting to feel a bad premonition. His heart was beating faster and he was thinking of the worse as he walked to the city.
They could already see some buildings that was broken and tore down, set on fire. The roads were destroyed. There was blood everywhere. Seeing this Akihito had his own emotions swelling up inside him.
He was a person that let his emotions sit inside him while he kept his cool on the outside. For him his emotions are something that he sees as meaningless as long as an objective is done.
Frustration.
Set it aside.
Anger.
Set it aside.
Sadness.
Set it aside.
He put all his emotions to the side in some unbothered corner of his being to get things done in the most efficient and fastest way possible. They saw a crowd of people and and they turned to look at them as well.
The moment they saw Akihito and Mia they all moved aside. All but Rigurd.
"Rigurd, what happened?" Mia asked as she looked at all the saddened faces of the monsters and some humans.
*BWOOM!!*
The sound of wood falling and breaking could be heard.
'How didn't I notice something over there?' Akihito thought as his head snapped to his left. He walked over there and turned the corner.
Immediately he saw Benimaru slap Gruicius with the handle. He was wondering about the situation as he looked at Benimaru. There was Youm, some other female, and of course Gruicius.
"Benimaru, what happened?" Akihito's voice came out colder than he meant it to be. When that woman looked at Akihito her eyes widened in shock. Immediately he knew something was up with her.
Seeing his cold eyes looking right into hers she was frozen with a look of horror.
"She is a prime suspect about the situation we're currently in. I'm attempting to arrest her and both Youm and Gruicius are resisting and protecting her." He explained in a serious voice.
Akihito could here his immense frustration.
"She's-"
"HOLD UP!!" They heard the voice of Rimuru just as Akihito was about to demand something. Looking back they saw Rimuru looking at the situation with a stern but angered face.
"She's under arrest. As the ruler of this nation what I say is law. Anymore resistance and I'll take it as you getting in the way of Tempest's affairs." Rimuru said to Gruicius.
He heard the whole situation, he saw the dead bodies of kids, man, and woman. Even the elderly wasn't spared.
Humans.
They were the only ones kept alive in this situation. After hearing a rundown of what happened, he was beyond mad. Damn near everything he worked for in these two years was gone in one afternoon, all because there was a spy.
"Akihito please restrain yourself. We understand that you're mad, but some of us can't handle what you're putting out." Rimuru asked.
Akihito was a bit confused till he felt it. This whole time he had been walking with a straight face like he didn't care his body was emitting a mix of some of his magical power and killing intent, hatred, and there was a lot of frustration.
'Some of us can't handle.' He thought about what Rimuru said for a while and flash stepped to Mia. She looked like she was exhausted.
"Mia, I'm taking you home for now." He said as he was about to pick her up.
"No, just wait." She said as she panted. Soon he saw that she was starting to breath normally and stand up straight.
"What happened?" He asked.
"I put up thin barrier around my body, so that emotions won't go into me at once." She said with a sigh.
Afterwards they gathered and gave a prayer to the killed and went to the conference room.
….
Everyone was there even some merchants. One merchant named Myourmiles. He was a merchant from the kingdom of Ingracia, but he and Rimuru seem to know each other.
He basically told the story of how three people tried accusing one of the hobgoblins of sexual assault. Gobta came in and called the female of the group out on her lie, but apologized anyway.
She got mad and tried to use some skill to get them to kill themselves, but Shuna nullified that girls skill with her own. She then told them that they weren't welcomed here and to leave.
One of the males provoked one of the guards and a fight broke out. Shortly after Shuna, Gobta, and Hakurou joined the fight. That's when the barriers were put up. Once that was done a few thousand of soldiers came into the city from the forest and started slaughtering your monsters.
Apparently Hakurou, lost because of this barrier and the same for Gobta. When they got ready to leave they left a message.
"With the help of the western saint church, we will eradicate you by force. In one week you will be doomed. Either submit or get killed."
Akihito heard all of this and he wasn't calmed down at all. On the outside he was and even his eyes looked like he couldn't care less. Mia knew though. She knew that all of this was just making him madder and madder. She wanted to take him out to get some air, but he might breath in some polluted air and just decided to erase air completely with how his emotions are now.
Instead she just held his left hand while his right supported his face. Akihito then realized something. When he comes to the city or when they see him anywhere Kayda, Mufasu, and Severus rush him like some wild animals racing for food and they mess with him like any pet would.
He didn't receive any of that yet. Mia felt his mood changing so she stood up gaining everyone's attention.
"We're going into the hall for a breather." She announced and pulled Akihito up from his seat. They went into the hall and had a conversation.
"What's on your mind?" She asked worriedly. This was the first time she's seen a frustrated Akihito. She didn't know how to deal with it and so she went about it the wrong way. With someone like him he wouldn't want people to get involved.
He would rather let his frustration out like he always does. Do things that's in his head and clear up space so he can think properly.
"Nothing."
"Are you seriously gonna lie like that? I know somethings wrong so just spit it out."
"…" He didn't say anything and just looked at her silently.
"Where's Kayada and the rest?" After a moment of silence Mia too came to a realization and darted back into the room. Once she left Akihito disappeared.
"Has anyone seen Kayda, Mufasu, and Severus!?" Mia asked urgently. They could see by her face that something bad is about to happen.
"…Unfortunately they were affected just as much as everyone else. Most of the forces were focused on them and we were constantly getting drained so we were useless to save them." Benimaru said in a shaking voice. His fist were clutched and his head was down.
All of them had a saddened look on their faces, but Mia slammed her hand on the table and snapped them out of it.
"We can put this on hold, but if-!!!" Mia stopped talking once a huge pressure came down on everyone. In fact it wasn't just Tempest that felt the pressure. Everyone around the world felt like something was holding them down and they couldn't move, suddenly that feeling disappeared.
…
(Akihito POV)
Once Mia left I immediately teleported over to the west. I didn't know who actually was invading and to be honest I don't give a fuck. I was a human, I knew how humans thought, I knew how they act, and I knew how selfish they and deceiving they were.
I should've just wiped them out when I got here. Like how can anyone expect humans to act differently anywhere. I'm not gonna kill all of them, but they said something about the west, so I might as well take the whole west side of the continent.
I raised my right hand and slowly a cyan ball started being formed in my hand. It started looking like a small blue sun the size of a basketball, but it kept getting bigger and bigger till it looked like some huge sun.
That's when I realized something.
'I need to chill. I should be able to resurrect Kayda and the rest, plus instead of wiping the the continent out wouldn't it be better to just kill everyone with my own hands?' With that thought I dispersed the little sun I made and looked for a country to start with.
….
(Third POV)
Akihito was perfectly aware of what he was about to do and was totally cool with it. At this point he had calmed down, he was thinking semi-straight about what to do, but that didn't change the fact that he wanted to kill just as many people as them.
He believed in an eye for an eye. If you kill you deserve to get killed. There was no in between or any negotiations. As he looked around he saw a kingdom, it was like a few kilometers away from a mountain that had dragons swarming the top.
He also saw Blumund a ways away from that kingdom. If he found out that Blumund helped in this attack, they could just start praying, because he won't have mercy at all.
The kingdom he had spotted was unlucky, but Akihito was. The kingdom he saw was the Famas Kingdom. The same kingdom that invaded Tempest.
