Chapter 051: Mixed Sleepover Part 2

Sato-San waited for the girls to come out of Shiratori-San's room and during that time he was drinking tea that he had put out. After a while they left the room and rejoined Sato-San. They were all silent for a while not knowing what to do while Sato-San was telling his sister that he wasn't going to be coming home tonight.

"W-Why don't we try some baking?"

Sato-San's face became petrified when he heard that and the others looked at him funnily.

"Um, Sato-Senpai? Could it be you can't cook?"

"O-Obviously I can, so shut up slut."

"…I thought I told you to stop calling me that."

"Well, why would I?"

"Then let's bake, if yours turns out to be better then mine then you can continue calling me whatever you want, but if mine are better you have to call me by my… My given name." 'I told you Kanna-Chan, I'm going to give it my all!'

"….Eh?"

"Y-You heard me, but I'm obviously going to win! So might as well start getting used to my name now!"

"Fine then! Let's bake off!"

"So you'll be the judge as you won't have any bias. Is that okay, Kanna-Chan's mom?"

Shiratori-San's mother was sort of in the background and agreed to be the judge for them and so the bake off began. They only had one kitchen so to make things fair they didn't add a timer since the other person could always be blocking the use of some of the tools. They took their positions and waited for Kitagawa-San to hit a pot to commence the battle. After a few seconds the battle began and they started rushing to grab ingredients. It was like a war zone, only Amal rations, chaos ensuing all around, it was almost as if you could hear bombs dropping in the distance.

Sato-San finally gathered everything he would need but then didn't know what to do from there.

'I've never baked before in my life! What the hell do I do?!' He quickly looked over to Fukuhara-San to see what she was doing and she had already finished mixing everything. 'I'm screwed! Uh…I guess I'll just throw everything in here and hope it works out…'

He began to rapidly mix everything he had, in fact he hadn't even thought about what it was he was baking yet, he just grabbed things he thought would work out and would continue from there. He let everything mix in a very spluttery messy way and then just used the mix to make a cupcake cookie hybrid thing. He didn't even know what to call it but he decided to just run with it and put them in the oven. Fukuhara-San had already put hers in the oven and was onto decorating her cookies. He left them in for about thirty minutes and now had to decide what to decorate them with.

'Come on brain, think of something unique! …Ah!'

He began to use icing to make chibi versions of the girls, they weren't the best but he thought it might give him the advantage in terms of personalization. They had both finished their creations and gave them to Shiratori-San's mother.

She took a bite out of Sato-San's first and chewed it for a bit before taking a bite out of

Fukuhara-San's cookies and then putting her hands down and looking up at them.

"You two have presented wonderful dishes but as we all know, only one can remain…Sato-Chan wins!"

Both of them made surprised faces but Fukuhara-San was the one to voice her thoughts.

"Huh??!! How?!"

"Look at this tiny version of me it's so adorable! I mean it is a little weird eating myself but still! I'm chibi!"

"…That's why? Then who had the better taste?"

"Hmmmm…Probably Yoko-Chan since Sato-Chan's had such a strange taste."

Each of the girls took one of Sato-San's cupcake cookie hybrids and couldn't really determine what the taste was, it was certainly unique.

"I know this taste from somewhere but I can't really place it…What did you use as ingredients?"

"I'm not actually sure…"

"You made these without knowing what you used?"

"Y-Yes? I just kind of grabbed things I thought would work and I guess it worked for the most part."

"Well as long as we're still breathing I guess it's fine…"

"Still though. I guess this means I win, slut."

"Egh! …Fine then, call me that if you want to. Even if I don't like it…"

They are the baked goods while talking with Sato-San constantly switching between personalities based on who he was talking to. It was a unique experience and with the bake off out of the way the night was continuing to approach closer and closer.

"Do you wanna watch a movie?"

"Sure, why don't we watch a horror then?"

"Why?"

"Oh you know…Just because."

Shiratori-San and Fukuhara were searching through the movies that were available in the horror genre and after a short search they found something.

"Dawn of the Totally Horrifying Monster That Eats People in Gruesome Ways: The Alternate Reality That Takes Place Between the Original Movie and Seventh Remake Series From The Getflix Adaptation Season Four, Only Featuring A Total of 10 of the Actual 24 Episodes Created but Only Released Physically Because Money-Part 2: Scream Fest in a Totally Legit Environment and Not Filmed In A Studio Using CGI-Director's Cut Featuring Absolutely Nothing of Note but Explains Why Nudity Was A Major Importance to the Plot and Nearly Every Character Has A Shirtless Scene With A Feature Runtime of An Hour and Sixty One Minutes."

It was a long title and was just one of those cash grab horror movie classic remake that added nothing to the story and only made things more confusing as to what order to watch the series in. They put it on and Fukuhara-San took the spot right next to Sato-San which made him slightly worried on what else she was planning to do to him after the whole bake off thing.

It was only about 30 minutes into the movie and the first jump scare happened. The movie was really slow and boring but the second the jump scare appeared Fukuhara-San grabbed onto

Sato-San's arm. He looked over at her and she was trying to act scared but you could easily tell she was faking it. Natsume-San on the other hand was completely terrified and was jumping all around getting scared by the sounds around them. Shiratori-San was expressionless and

Kitagawa-San was smiling which was kind of scary given that people were being torn apart and eaten on the screen.

Nothing else really happened with the rest of the movie, it was your average horror. What else is there to say? Fukuhara-San continued to have a strong grip around Sato-San's arm even after the movie was finished saying that she was still scared and so he whipped his arm upwards and broke her grip. She tried to grab back on with her fear filled face disappearing while doing so as she was now focusing on grabbing onto his arm. Natsume-San was holding tightly onto Shiratori-San who did nothing to fight it and just continued to let her hold on. It was now late into the night so they only did a few more things before getting ready for bed.

They got out the guest futons and laid them out. Sato-San counted a total of five futons and was a little confused.

"I'm sleeping on the couch right?"

"Hm, no you're going to sleep down here with us."

"….Eh?"

"Come on, you're by me and Yoko-Chan."

Shiratori-San patted the futon load out in front of him and looked at it for awhile before finally settling in. It felt strange and he didn't know what to do since he'd never been in this situation before. In fact this was his first time sleeping over at someone's house that wasn't Kawasaki-San or Shirai-Kun's place.

'Gah! Why'd I do this?! I'd be sleeping in my own bed comfy as ever but now I just feel awkward!'

He laid there wide awake while the others fell asleep one after the other. He gave it about an hour before finally trying to get up but Fukuhara-San grabbed onto his arm. He jolted his head down to see she was sleeping and this time it didn't look like she was faking it. He sighed and carefully removed his arm from her grip only for

Natsume-San to roll around and latch onto his legs while summering something.

"No…No, don't eat me…Sato-San, no…"

'Must be some strange dream she's having. Well, I'm in quite the predicament aren't I? How do I get out of this?'

He spent some more time breaking free of Fukuhara-San's grip until she eventually let go herself and rolled over onto her other side. He was being especially careful freeing himself from their grips since he didn't know how heavy or light of sleepers they were. He was in the process of freeing himself from Natsume-San and continued to listen to the strange story that was building up in her dream.

"I have to solve ten questions…If I don't want to be turned into….A bug…? Why Sato-San, no…Don't eat me…"

He managed to break free from Natsume-San's arms and felt another pair grab his torso. He sighed and saw that Shiratori-San's arms were now wrapped around him. He reached for them to start prying himself free but heard a voice.

"I'm awake, so if you don't want me to do this you can tell me to let go."

"Y-You're awake? Then why are you grabbing onto me?"

"Because I want to…"

They went silent and stayed in the same position for awhile not saying anything. Sato-San didn't really know what to do but he eventually pulled her arms away from him.

"I-I'm gonna get a glass of water."

"…Okay."

He stood up and went to the kitchen to get himself the water he needed since it allowed him to escape that situation. He was silently drinking his water with no thoughts on his mind but he soon heard footsteps coming towards the kitchen. He thought it would be Shiratori-San but it turned out to be Kitagawa-San.

"…You can walk?"

She looked over at him surprised. "You didn't know?"

"I don't know, I just kind of thought with the wheelchair and everything…"

She giggled a bit. "I can walk it's just not recommended since I can get light headed easily and risk falling over. It's fine if I do it every now and then."

"Okay then."

He continued drinking his water while she filled a glass with water and drank alongside him.

"Tonight was fun. Of course I never expected you to be here."

"Yeah, that's completely understandable."

"The others have been using everything they have to win…"

"Win what?"

"Maybe if I entered the battle full force I'd win. If I do you'd know what it is we're fighting over."

"…Uh, then join the battle? I don't really know what to say…"

"You know, I enjoy the little conversations we have while in school. They're quite enjoyable."

"Yeah, I enjoy them too. Nice change of pace."

"It's probably thanks to that that I've fallen for you."

"….What?"

"I love you, Higura-San."

His eyes went wide before a jar hit his head and he fell over. Shiratori-San's cat had pushed a jar onto his head and knocked him out in the process. Kitagawa-San began panicking and called the others but he didn't know what happened next.

He woke up the next morning and had a massive headache. He couldn't recognize where he was until Shiratori-San entered his view.

'That's right, I went over to Shiratori-San's place. Guess I fell asleep at some point. Man, it does seem really early though.'

"Oh, Sato-San you're awake!"

"Y-Yeah? Was I not suppose to be?"

"You kind of had a jar smashed on your head and passed out…It's morning now but I hope you're fine. Sorry for the trouble my cat had caused."

"…Morning? When did I get hit on the head?"

"Around one in the morning."

"…I was here overnight, like willingly and didn't get hit sometime after I arrived?"

"No, you had slept over and got up to get some water when it happened."

"…Is there anything we did together that I should remember?"

"Hm?"

"Uh, like anything serious happen?"

It finally hit her what he had meant and she quickly turned super red while saying there was nothing that he would have to remember.

"I don't know, I feel Kitagawa-San told me something important last night but…Wait! Was she here last night?"

"Y-Yeah, so were Yoko-Chan and Tsugumi-San."

"You mean I slept over here with four girls?"

"Y-Yes."

"…The hell went through my head?"

Shiratori-San explained everything that happened last night and after words Sato-San went back home while having many things going through his head.

'Still, it feels like Kitagawa-San told me something that I should definitely remember."

He returned home and the mixed sleepover night had finally come to an end.
