Chapter 6

"Ready or not, Adichu thooka poren da'' the monster roared! ('Adichu thooka poren' - obliterate)

As he started charging towards them, the intense aura of fear he was exerting nearly made them lose their footing. And then he dashed in, closing the distance between him and Baskar in a split second!

Baskar slowly tilted his head upwards to the titan towering over him. The monster grinned while Baskar froze. He snaps out then heads on to grab his weapon but at that instant-

"Gaah! Agh!''

A knee to the torso! He felt one of his ribs fracturing. Baskar drops his aruval and is sent flying.

"I'm not gonna go down that easily boy!"

Gopesh picks up the aruval and slowly walks towards the knocked out Baskar.

"Baskar! Get the fuck up!'' Ethi shouts and throws a brick in Gopesh direction.

Gopesh swings the aruval shattering the brick before it could reach him. With a smirk the beast turned around but to his surprise Baskar stood on two legs.

"That weapon isn't yours. And i will have it back''

"Oh this? I don't need this to kick your ass.. But I kinda like it, so fuck off."

"Dei Baskar!'' Ethi throws over the aruval 'pushpa' to Baskar.

He grabs onto it and takes a stance.

"Elani! Cover for me!''

"You got it!'' Ethi replies. He grabs onto his cart and starts launching those coconuts as projectiles at Gopesh. 'Elani Tsunami!'

At the same time Baskar charges ahead.

Gopesh grunts and spins the aruval shattering the projectiles, with his other hand stops Basker's blade

"Grgh!'' -Gopesh struggles on holding it down.

"KEEP PUSHING!''-Ethi

"AAAARRRRGGGGHHHH!'' three of them shout in unison!

Gopesh lets go of the blade and grabs Baskar by the neck and lifts him up shielding himself from the projectiles and runs to Ethi while Baskar in his hands.

Ethi notices and stops the barrage at that moment the beast throws his aruval to him and slams Baskar down.

The vendor barely dodges the throw, looks back and finds Gopesh in front of him.

"Let's prepare your funeral! Ethambaram!''

'Marana spank!' the monster swings his arm for the attack. ( 'Marana' - Death )

Ethi watches his life flash before himself closes his eyes, ready for the hit but it doesn't happen. He slowly peaks in and finds the beast standing still with blood gushing down back and with a grim expression on his face, almost as if he was angry. Very very angry. Behind him stood Basker, covered in bruises, blood dripping from his head with his wrinkled hands holding onto the blade which was stuck onto the beast's shoulder.

"T-That geezer was able to wound the boss?!''

"Impossible.'' the henchmen argue at a distance.

Baskar pulls the weapon out.

"Grr Argh'' Gopesh grunts and turns to face him.

"Why can't you just stay down old man?''

"Beast? I see no beast here! I just see a bleeding young child on the verge of crying! Listen now you punks, I will show you what a 'Thalaiva' is when I chop this arrogant trash down to pieces!'' Baskar exclaimed, lifting his blades upwards.

"Dei now you've made me really mad'' Gopesh tears his shirt down revealing his body carved with scars and wounds from the battles. His right shoulder where he was struck had a tattooed 'K' on it. Flexing and twisting his body he takes his stance ready to pounce.

Baskar does the same. Both staring towards one and another, ready to make the first strike.

And the first strike is what Gopesh heads for the legs but Baskar judging his move, spins around striking the monsters head with the hilt of his weapon and then takes a distance of a step readying for another strike. Gopesh back on his feet with a slight concussion from the previous strike this time proceeds with a kick. Baskar evades the attack with terrifying speeds blocking it with the back of his blades, turns around and kicks the beast back without losing momentum. Elani sees an opening, jumping in, targeting the beast's footing, disorienting him down. Gopesh, now on his knees with a concussion, proceeds to get clobbered down by the duo.
