<p>Alex rose from his bed completely unaware of what had transpired the night before, and gathered in the mess hall after bathing for the morning. He once more dined with Namo and Julia, who had forced themselves at his table yet again. However, nothing of importance was discussed today; it was only after the gladiators had eaten and gathered in the yard for training that Asrati stood before them and declared the changes in the arena going forward.</p>

<p>"In the future, you will be split into groups and sent to different venues to compete in the new local arenas that are being built across the city. If you survive long enough to become a champion of one of these district arenas, you will go on to fight the other champions in a tournament in the grand arena, which will prove who the greatest champion of all is. Only a Grand Champion can win eternal glory in the arena and be remembered for the rest of time!"</p>
