Hunter Exam Part 6!

"Congratulations for everyone who passed Trick Tower, but you still can't be relaxed just yet as there is 2 more stages to go through to become a Hunter. Follow me onto the airship as we go to the next testing grounds, but it will only be a short rest this time. You have a 2 hour rest" , Lippo said this to the rest of the examinees.
Everyone started following behind Lippo and Sye finally opened his eye and started following behind them to the airship. Gon walked up to Sye while asking him,
"Hey Sye, we are all going to rest what are you going to do for this 2 hour break",
"I will rest aswell for this 2 hours, so I will come along with you Gon",
Sye decided to rest this time as he had been meditating alot and he is not at the level where he can sustain himself from fatigue with his strength alone.
The group all walked to the rooms across from each other and went in after saying goodbye, Sye walked to his bed laid down and before he went to sleep he asked Ava,
'Ava can you please wake me up in 1 hour and 40 minutes',
[Of course Sye, see you then]
As Sye was sleeping a meeting of the examiners and Netero was taking place as they were discussing who they think is the best examinee in this exam,
"I have to say Sye", Satotz said to the other examiners and Menchi agreed with him, however Lippo said,
"I say Hisoka, I can feel he already knows nen",
"I agree with you Lippo but I say Sye aswell", everyone was shocked when they heard Netero speak up, especially when choosing Sye.
"He's strong", while Netero said that he walked out of the meeting room leaving the others in a dazed state as Netero never thinks too highly of any examinees except the current 3 star hunters and the zodiac twelve when they did the exam in the past.
-1 hour and 40 minutes later-
[Sye it is the time you asked me to wake you up]
Sye opened his eyes groggily to the sound of Ava's voice awakening him,
'Thanks Ava but I probably should of rested other day on the airship but I'm sure I can use some on my nen to help me remove some of the fatigue', Sye has done it before but nen isn't like Ki or Chakra which helps fatigue because it's more like the aura of life where Ki is like life force energy and Chakra is the mix of Physical and spiritual energy.
'I have 20 minutes till we arrive at Zevil Island. So the next stage is the manhunt, I hope I don't get numbers 404, 405, 403 and 99 as they are Kurapika, Gon, Leorio and Killua's number respectively, but I do hope I get 44 or 301 as they are Hisoka or Illumi and they will actually be a challenge, well they might be',
Sye walked out of the room grinning, he was looking forward to this challenge cause even if he got Gon or the others badge then he could just hunt three other people's for fun.
"I hope the next challenge we can all pass again", Sye walked out to see Gon and the others talking and getting ready to go to the exit of the airship for the next 20 minutes.
"Hey there guys, you heading down now for some food or going to the exit?",
"Oh hey Sye, we were gonna go sit at the exit but we could go get some food, are any of you hungry?", Gon turned around to greet Sye and then asked the others if they were hungry.
"I'm a bit hungry",
"I can eat",
Both Killua and Leorio wanted food too, so they all headed down to the cafeteria, as they walked towards it they walked past the examinees and they all nodded and no one spoke except Gon,
"Hey examiners and Chairman, did you have some food too", Gon is as innocent as always and talkative with all his questions.
"Ah Gon Freecss are you finding the exam challenging?", Netero said this to Gon who was about to speak but this again surprised the examiners and one spoke up,
"You mean-", but he was quickly quited by a look from Netero but he understood their shock as Gon's dad was one of the highest ranked Hunters, how would they not know of him and now here they are seeing and learning that he has a son.
Sye looked at the Chairman and realised that he understood Gon's situation,
'He knows that Ging cares for his son but is a terrible father, well in my opinion he is. I mean people could say he wanted Gon to grow stronger and find him but did he really cause even when in the hospital he said that he doesn't need to visit him, even on his death bed and loosing his nen. I'll probably kick his ass one day in the future just for the fun of it, plus everyone says he's in the top 5 in the world for nen users so I'd like to show him that he can abandon his son to become stronger but he won't ever be the strongest and I'll save Gon from loosing his nen just so he can become stronger than Ging', Sye disliked Ging for what he did to Gon and he has already decided to save Gon because he has already grown to like him but not from just the anime but also seeing him determined to find his father and how friendly he is so Sye will have a 'private meeting' with Ging.
And again before Gon could answer Netero's question was cut off again by Netero himself,
"Well anyway we better be going, we have important business to talk about. See you after the next stage", after that he walked away with the other examinees asking him questions about Gon and if Ging is really his father and if so why didn't they know he had a son,
"Ging abandoned him after he was born to live his dream, he was a Hunter when Gon was born but he didn't want to stop and take care of his child so he went to leave him with his mother but he lost the rights to his child by his wife's sister, and after that he never visited his son again to become a great Hunter", as Netero finished he saw some of the other examinees had complicated expressions because they idolised the 3 star Hunters and Gin included but after learning he left his son and never visited him shattered their vision of him bit by bit.
Back at Gon and the others they all started walking back and Sye decided to ask Gon something that always bothered him,
"Gon, why would you leave your Aunt to find your father who abandoned you?",
Everyone was surprised at Sye's sudden question that was very personal, Gon looked upset thinking about his Aunt but it changed to determination,
"Because I want to know. I want to know why he wanted to become a Hunter that he would leave me and Aunt Mito behind. He must of had his reasons and if becoming a Hunter will allow me to find out then I will."
Sye smiled at Gon, "Then I've decided that when the time comes you can ask me for help and I will help you and bea- find your father", Gon looked at Sye strangely as he thought he was gonna say something else but Leorio asked for him,
"You nearly said beat him up didn't you", they all looked at Sye who laughed and walked into the cafeteria, they all laughed and joined him and they stayed there for around 15 minutes before heading to the exit.
The airship finally landed and the rest of the participants walked out of the the island for their next phase.
"Welcome to Zevil Island, this is the next testing ground and the next stage is a manhunt!".

I'm adding extra bits in that actually didn't happen in the plot since Sye being there will change events and I don't want to follow everything completely.
Also in the anime Gon basically idolised Ging but I'm gonna make it slightly different so watch out for that and if you don't like it oh well, it's not like he's gonna stay in this world.
