'I got an item?' Obcisor looked at the stats of the Wolf's Armor. It had a total of 50 stats. He only had some 60 stats as a level 1 player, but he had to wait until he was level 10 to equip the armor. He had nothing to measure the armor's stats against to figure out if it was a good item or not. But he still believed that it must be a good item if it was a 'Rare' item and had such a low level restriction for equipping.

< New Mini Quest: Use [Fireball] 10 times.

Reward : +1 to INT. Max INT gained is 10. >

Top took out a wooden staff and said, "This staff has been enchanted with the ability, [Fireball]. Go use that ability 10 times and come back to me. Just think about using the ability to use it."

Obcisor took the staff and walked towards a free Wooden puppet. The [Fireball] skill in the staff was truly meant for the tutorial. It took 5 mana to use, had no cooldown and did no damage. Its only purpose was to waste mana. He pointed the staff towards the puppet and used [Fireball] just as he would a normal skill in his real life.

From the tip of the staff, a ball of fire formed and rushed towards the puppet, hitting it. It disappeared just as quickly as it appeared, and he was down 5 mana. He shot off 8 consecutive fireballs, one after another, all on target. After using all of his mana, he waited for a dozen or so seconds for his body to regenerate 5 more mana. As soon as he reached 5 mana, he shot out another fireball.

Obcisor stopped doing anything and just waited for his mana to get back to full. Now that he had 10 INT, he could just wait for his mana to go full and throw out all 10 fireballs at once. He was also getting low on stamina at this point to it was better for him to sit and wait.

After around 40 minutes of throwing out out fireballs, he finally completed the challenge.

< New Mini Quest: Touch 50 Wooden Puppets

Reward : +1 to AGI. Max AGI gained is 10. >

This was a rather simple challenge, all he had to do was touch 50 Wooden puppets. There was more than 50 puppets in the field. It was a bit too easy in fact. And he soon realized why that was. For a puppet to have counted as being touched, he had to have touched a puppet within the last 5 seconds. Meaning, if he took more than 5 seconds to go from puppet A to puppet B, puppet B would no longer count towards the total touches. Instead he would now have to touch puppet C within 5 seconds of touching B.

Thankfully, you could just switch between puppet A and B, as long as you didn't take more than 5 seconds in between. This was what most players seem to be doing. Obcisor was no different. He was running in between 2 puppets touching them. He would take a 5 minute break between every completion to restore his stamina.

It took him nearly an hour to complete this quest. He wanted to leave so many times, but he was already so close. So why not complete everything? He had done so with the previous quests. After completion, he walked back to Tom.

"I'm done." He said as he reached Tom.

Tom looked at him and said, "Good job boy. Now you are no longer a newbie. You are now a trained newbie. Not much different from before, but I hate you a little less now."

"Since you completed all the challenges 10 times each, I can tell that you are not a bad seed. Hmm."

"You are a patient one, kid. I see many impatient kids, who just want to go out and hunt, level up. But you, you stuck through the training. I know it was hard to do those tasks. But you know what they say, Patience bears the best fruits. And being able to be patient about something is also a skill."

"Kid, why are you here really? You didn't come here to train, did you?" Tom asked.

'Huh. What does he mean?' Obcisor thought. Why else would he be here? It was then he saw a still active quest at the side of vision.

Visit the village guard Tom, and learn about the different classes from him.>

He had come here to learn about the different classes, not to train. He had gotten swept up in the process like everyone else. Maybe everyone was expecting to train a little before heading off to hunt, that they didn't catch themselves doing so. Maybe he would have had to do the training even if he specifically asked for the information of classes. Who knows. He didn't let it bother him.

"I want to learn about classes." He told Tom.

"You and everyone else kid. Alright listen, I won't repeat twice." Tom went on a lengthy explanation on what classes were and why they were useful.

Basically, Classes were of 3 types. Damage class, support class and production.

Damage classes were classes that were able to deal relatively high damage to enemies. These included Swordsman, Mage, Archer, Assassin etc. Damage classes were good solo in Player Vs Player (PvP) battles, but were horrible in Player Vs Environment (PvE) battles where they had to fight multiple monsters at once.

Support types were classes that supported the other people. These included Priests, Healers, Guardians, Bard etc. These would help the damage classes freely deal damage. They weren't very good in PvP, but were invaluable in PvE. A 5 man party without at least 2 support classes would be considered a bad party setup.

Production classes were different. They had no direct involvement in any battles and thus were mainly neglected when choosing classes. They were still highly invaluable. Blacksmiths, Alchemist, Tailors, Cooks, etc. were different production classes that people thought when the heard the word 'Production class'.

There were also a number of different class that didn't fit into any of the 3 category but were instead a combination of them. For example, a Necromancer could summon skeletons and other creatures to fight for him, thus making it a Damage class in part. But they could also use spells that could heal, empower, impair opponents etc. that would make them a support class in part. As a result, they were considered a hybrid class.

In truth, almost all classes were in one way a hybrid class. Only that they took way too much of one class type to be called anything else.

The classes were also differentiated into 4 types according to Tom. Common, Uncommon, Rare, and Unique. Each giving better skills and stats than the last one. Although, he did mention about hearing some legends about higher classes, but he had never seen them.

You would have to wait until level 10 to finally get a class. After level 10, You could choose whatever classes you wanted. You had to be careful however, as switching classes were very hard to do.

After he spoke about the classes, Tom reached into his pocked and brought out some coins. He tossed them towards Obcisor and said," You seem hungry kid. Go eat some food in that tavern. Also, take this wooden sword. Come find me once you hit level 10."

Ding.

< You have learned about the classes.>
