Humans weren't the primordial race. Demons were.

And who ruled over them was The Demon King. Kagutsuchi.

After living for 10,000 years, watching the civilization he built rise and fall, he decided to end his never-ending life, destroying demons and magic forever.

3,000 YEARS LATER

The Demon King reincarnates in a world without any knowledge of magic, let alone him. Where he was once the ruler of the world; now he was a simple working-class human. That's what they thought. In truth, he had kept all his overwhelming power that outweighed that of the gods. 

Now, this was a new era for him to destroy.

A New Era To Destroy

Kagutsuchi was obviously confused by all of this.


'And you need to contribute.' The woman finished.


To start, how was this lady his mother when he had no mother upon his arrival? Secondly, why did he need to fight against the race of his own creation? And finally, how did the world learn of Magic and demons after his death?


'What?' Kagutsuchi asked, expressing his confusion. He couldn't just tell this human that he was the Demon King.


'After all, the Knight Sage has made our bloodline noble and you are the only one who is capable of getting Torched by the-'


'Knight Sage? What is that?' Kagutsuchi questioned the history that had obviously changed during his stay at the World Of Deities.


'Um...' Kagutusuchi decided to be straight with her. 'I'm not your son. Maybe I once was, but now I'm a different person. Your son is gone. Forever. Now, do not contact me again.'


And with that, Kagutuschi hung up the phone, the only device of the new era he knew how to use.


But what she had said still applied. He had to participate. By the law of the Three Sages.


                                                     1,999 YEARS AGO


It was just like any other day for everyone else. But for Eadric, it was nothing short of the day that changed his life, and the way he viewed the world. It was the day that he was Torched by the Eternal Flame, making him the first Knight of Mankind, the first one blessed with the power of the Sword Resonance, and the first to ever travel to the Demonic Land to fight demons and protect Mankind.


                                                    2,000 YEARS LATER


A year had passed and nothing had happened for Kagutsuchi. 


His goal of destroying the new era had not even begun yet due to him wanting to live life in this world for at least 2 years to understand everything fully and to get an insight into who the current leaders of the world were, and devising a plan as to how he could overthrow them. He heard nothing about demons or being Torched ever since his encounter with his alleged mother, even from his knowledge Magic. 


He had also deduced that someone had once lived in this body from his encounter with that woman and through his knowledge Magic. His knowledge Magic had informed him that the previous Kagutscuhi was nothing but a normal citizen and so he decided to move on with his new life and lead it peacefully for another year.


In fact, it would not even last another hour.
