Run

There are two things you can do with freedom.

You can hold onto hope, but let go of all the problems. You can stay where you are and start fresh, become someone new. Even just become yourself and open doors you didn't even know were there.

Or, you can take your freedom and run.

Explore all the different places in your mind, even the dark caves that you never dared to enter. Too afraid to find something lurking in there, looking back at you. Too afraid to know yourself fully, because who are you? Where did all these places come from? Why is there a dark cave? But, only you can answer those questions. You have to look within yourself and find those answers. Every lie you were sold, every punch thrown at you, everything has created these places. Not simply because you let them, but because you can't change what you've endured. You can't go back in time and fix it all. And, if you could, who would you be, then?

You wouldn't be the same.

You wouldn't have learned the same lessons, or even known the same people. Those people would be different, altered to a different reality. Your life wouldn't be the same. You might have been happier, but then again, you might have been miserable. Who would your friends be, who would your enemies be? Where would you be?

Life is a mystery to explore and find yourself in.

Life isn't fun, nor is it easy. It is a quest, but you can't let your enemies get in the way. Move onto the next place, explore the dark cave in your mind. You might find some crazy man with wise words, or an enemy ready to strike. The only question then is, what are you going to do? Are you going to fight to find yourself or turn around and flee? What you do with your freedom is up to you, and how you feed your mind matters. If you put yourself down every day, all you're going to see is your flaws. You won't see you, you'll see the false image you have created of yourself. You won't see the good qualities in your personality.

Let's put it this way.

If you look at all the imperfections on your skin and focus on them, how are you to see your eyes for what they truly are? How are you to see you when all you're looking at is your flaws? When you surround yourself with toxic people, thinking you deserve it, how are you to see your worth? You don't deserve that. You don't deserve to be degraded and ridiculed by people who claim to care. Or, for people to feed your darkness for their benefit.

Take your freedom and run.

Don't look back. Let go of who you were and all of the shit you have been through. Become yourself and open those doors you were too afraid to. Face yourself, and learn to love who you are. Because that's what matters. Use your freedom, and run.
