CHAPTER 6: DISCHARGED

Arianna awoke the next day full of energy after only two days had passed. She was fed some liquid food since she couldn't consume solids yet.

She couldn't speak yet, but she seemed to be very lively, which put everyone at ease. They couldn't chastise or reprimand her, and they could all see how sorry she was by her red and weeping face whenever a member of her family stopped by.

After two days of observation, Marylyn was set to have her baby discharged from the hospital. Arianna will be nursed back to health by a nurse who was recently hired.

The duke and his wife completed the discharge process on that day, and Arianna was wheeled out of the hospital in a wheelchair because she was still too weak to walk.

Arianna was carried into the car as if she were a kid, which embarrassed her and made everyone laugh at her. Arianna's shyness was not something you encounter daily.

Everyone was happy, and Bethany even took a picture to commemorate the moment. The family was unconcerned by the media but instead concentrated on themselves.

The paparazzi hiding in the shadows were elated to be able to capture these moments. They weren't able to infiltrate the hospital in order to see Arianna, but watching her being taken home proved that she was still alive and well.

They were all eager to see what dramas the young lady would perform now that she was released. Will she use violence or more deceit to get Lucas, or will she give up and forget about him?

The person who was involved in all of this was indifferent and didn't give it another thought because she was too busy causing mayhem inside the luxurious limousine. Paulo and Marylyn sat there and watched Arianna attack Bethany like a child.

All the way back to the family mansion, the limousine was filled with laughter. Arianna was scooped up again when they arrived, and her body was settled in an electric wheel chair that was simple to use so that she could go wherever she wanted without getting assistance.

Arianna knew she'd have to use the wheelchair for a while because she wasn't in good enough shape to walk. She couldn't do physical therapy as it was pointless, so she was supposed to be fed a lot of food and supplements for the time being.

The other issue at the moment was her inability to talk, which would be resolved once she consumes the water pill. Also, it will be ok to play mute until she comprehend everything, as this will solve the most of her problems.

Arianna was given a tour of the mansion by her nanny, and no one saw how suspicious it was. They mistakenly thought the young lady wanted to keep up with the new events, so the nanny provided her with all of the information she asked for.

Arianna broke into tears again as she was wheeled to her room after the tour. This room was similar to the one she had become accustomed to at that mysterious place.

The room was spacious and furnished in a princess-like style. The double bed was surrounded by four posts with styled silk curtains. She could tell that the curtains were there to conceal the bed, especially at night when she was sleeping, and that they would all be tied up during the day.

The walls were a bright pink color, and there were butterflies strewn about. A large portrait of herself, smiling cheerfully in a field of flowers, hung from the ceiling. Her gloomy mood was lightened by this art.

She decided to check every area of the room she would be using for a long since she wanted to get to know everything. The bathroom was enormous, with a twin-sized pink tub and a shower surrounded by bulletproof glass because her parents didn't want any harm to come to her if the glass shattered, so they got the best glass obtainable.

The closet, which was concealed behind the double door, was the last room. Arianna wanted to cry as she was wheeled in because she was so happy.

This was her first time being surrounded by so many high-quality and pricey outfits. Everything in this closet was branded and picked with care, she could tell.

Arianna had always been given the best, so she had never been chastised for her material possessions. She wasn't a particularly studious individual, and studying hard didn't appeal to her once she made up her mind to marry Lucas.

She was exhausted after checking the house and needed a break, but before she could rest, she wanted to take a warm bath and take that water pill at the same time. She didn't want to dirty the sheets since she couldn't separate herself from the filth as she was still weak.

"Nanny, prepare a bath for me; I want to soak for a while," Arianna informed her nanny, who had been with her ever since she was a toddler, through her phone.

Seeing how exhausted her young lady was, the nanny followed Arianna's instructions and filled the tub with warm water, scented herbs, and after making sure the heat wouldn't scorch her, she assisted her to undress and to the tub.

She jotted again, "I will wash myself; I will ring the bell when I am finished."

The nanny had a lot of questions, but she felt it wasn't the perfect time to ask them. The young lady wanted to be alone and it would be best if she organized her thoughts while she was doing it. She didn't want to lose the child she had raised ever again because of such insignificant things.

She despised Lucas so much that she wished she could shred him to bits, but she lacked the means to do so, and her Masters were powerless to stand up to Lucas' family, and to make matters worst, her young lady's affection was only one-sided.

Arianna felt relieved when Arianna was all alone; with all of them guarding her like that, she will not be able to heal herself. She didn't have time to waste, so she retrieved and swallowed the water pill from the inventory.

She relaxed in the warmth of the water, feeling the pill's efficacy in her system. The magic she had been waiting for struck soon, and she regretted taking the pill, but it was too late. She couldn't scream for help even when her body was being torn apart; she could only suffer silently until the pain became unbearable, at which point she blacked out.

She only hoped that by the time the nanny discovered something odd, she would be fast to report it and come to her aid. She didn't want to meet her maker so soon after escaping death.
