CHAPTER 18: THE AFTERTHOUGHT

Arianna was disturbed as she watched the credits; the movie was touching and all, but as someone who had died once, or should we say twice, this movie didn't seem right.

It felt very courageous and brave to some people, especially the female lead who went through fire to exact her revenge and stand against the fiend who was the villain in this movie.

The villain belonged to an unorthodox sect, which made him the female lead's enemy without raising a finger, and to make matters worse, the villain played a role in the death of a number of people who meant a lot to the female lead, but Arianna, who was watching this movie from a different perspective, didn't see what exactly the villain did wrong.

The villain was simply a man in love, and because he didn't know how to express himself more, he did bad things to attract his love's attention, unknowingly becoming the villain in her eyes.

He didn't just go around killing people from righteous sects; they were the ones who tracked him down, and in order to survive, he killed everyone who came after him.

If it had been those disciples from the righteous sects who were murdering people, they would not have been considered villains, but rather very righteous, which wasn't quite right. If the female lead had no feelings for the villain, she was supposed to clear things up with him before he became that way.

In another way, for someone like Arianna, who had just attempted suicide for a man who didn't give a s**t about her, this film was extremely provocative. If it had been the previous Arianna, she would have been triggered and would have hated Lucas and Ruby even more.

This movie was a recipe for disaster; if Arianna put everything she had just seen in this movie into action, she will truly ruin her family. The villain committed a slew of crimes in order to entice the female lead's attention, much like the previous villain did for Lucas, but she still failed.

Arianna remembered the words the villain spoke when his life was cut short, and while she felt sorry for him, she didn't want to be in that situation herself.

"If I can't have her in this life, I'll go to the next and wait for her."

Arianna was so offended by this statement that she wanted to punch him in the face, but he was just a character in a movie. This was a lesson to her, it opened her eyes, and it simply made her more vigilant against Amy and her other enemies.

As much as she wanted to get rid of Amy, she realized that nothing would work unless she had proof, so all she had to do was wait for Amy to panic and reveal herself.

Amy will be doing that sooner rather than later if things continue as they are. Amy smiled as she noticed Arianna's worried expression. She could tell this movie had made Arianna think. Amy felt that it was worth it, considering how enraged Arianna might be after seeing this movie.

Amy was confident that she would see some change in the coming weeks if Arianna took it to heart, and it would be fantastic if Arianna died as a result of the outcome. Amy would have killed Arianna if she could, but she didn't want her to die easy, therefore killing her was out of the question.

Amy gently informed Arianna, who was still in a daze, that "we should go, it's becoming late."

Amy patted Arianna's shoulders, and she almost jumped out of her seat.

As Arianna returned to reality, she nearly yelled at Amy, "You scared the hell out of me."

Arianna wanted to strangle Amy, but she needed to calm down first before ripping that head off.

"Please accept my apologies, I...I was just thinking..." Those who had looked their way gave Arianna that look as Amy began to stutter as she sought to explain herself.

Because of her pale appearance, it appeared to them that she was tormenting Amy. Arianna was furious this time, but she realized she needed to calm down because she wasn't in the right place.

"It's fine, let's go,I was just a little scared," Arianna explained as she stood up.

Amy sneered at Arianna but quickly returned to normal, trailing behind her like a lackey. Those who witnessed this looked at the two girls strangely, but they looked twice as hard at Arianna, who appeared to be the leader or the bully.

Arianna's mind was racing not because of the movie, but because of the numerous opportunities she saw for herself in it. The movie not only taught her how to commit evil deeds, but it also broadened her business horizons.

The film was a fantasy/cultivation film that featured the use of these wonderful and miraculous pills and elixirs. And Arianna didn't lack anything; if she uses those pills to boost her café business, she believes everything will work out in the end.

Amy would be furious if she knew what was going through Arianna's head right now. Arianna was going to make sure her business plan worked out, but she didn't want to expose herself because it would bring unwanted attention not only to her, but also to her family.

"How did you like the movie? Did you enjoy it? Did you notice how lovely Janie is? ....." Amy kept on throwing questions at Arianna as if she was some kind of chatter box.

"It was so much fun," Arianna murmured as she came to a halt, turned around, and smiled at Amy, " I learned a lot of things that I never expected to learn. You should take me out more frequently."

Amy froze and panicked for a few seconds after seeing this, before regaining her composure.

"I will definitely do so. Now that you've seen this, I'm guessing you realize it's not a good idea to bother Lucas any more. He's not worth it," Amy sarcastically warned Arianna.

"I've already let him go, so don't be concerned. Since he doesn't have me in his eyes, there's no reason for me to keep hanging or lighting a torch for him," Arianna responded slowly, as if she wanted to torment Amy with her words, which she duly did.

"That's fine, and since the movie is finished, how about we go get some cake since it's already past dinner time?"

Arianna smiled as she said, "Good idea."
