After Romeo borrowed Travis from Juliet..
TRAVIS' POINT OF VIEW
"Sooo?" Romeo smirked at me as I smiled.
"I did it, I finally did it!" I exclaimed.
"I'm so proud of you, Travis! But, did Juliet respond to your confession?" He asked as he frowned and we started walking to class.
"Apparently, no. But, I understand and I am willing to wait for her." I replied as I smiled then three guys went to us.
"Great job, Johnson! You're finally the talk of the school." One of the guys said.
"And because of that, you passed the bet. You are now one of us." Another guy said then Romeo did his confused face.
Everyone, meet the other three popular guys in our school. William, the leader among us. Edward, William's backup or next in rank. Lastly, Arthur, the one who has been with the two of them since middle school. All of them are known for being the popular slash bad guys in our school ever since.
When I was still new in this school back in nineth grade, William and I met because we were paired up as partners for a project we did. William find me as a goofy guy with a shy personality at the same time, so he decided to introduced me to his friend group.
One day, after I accidentally told them that I like Juliet, they decided to make a bet since that's what popular students do. They said if I wanted to be in their group and not humiliate my sister Lauren for rejecting Edward because of Romeo, I must make a move on Juliet and suddenly asked her out on the next week. I had no choice but to agree and protect Lauren and Romeo. They even said when the whole school knows about me, asking Juliet, I can officially be in their friend group.
"Bet? Travis is not some kind of guy who makes a bet with you popular guys, even though he precisely is one." Romeo said in confusion as he looked at me.
Oh yeah I forgot, Romeo had no idea about the bet, but he sure do know that I am friends with them. Romeo and I have been friends since sixth grade, I might have a feeling that he might've thought that I am lying to him, especially when he is my sister's boyfriend.
"What are you talking about? Travis literally settled a bet with us three." Edward said as he went closer to Romeo.
"Wh-What is the bet all about, Travis?" Romeo asked as he looked at me and I looked down.
"We agreed that if Travis confesses her feelings to Juliet, he can finally be in our friend group and not humiliate Lau-" William explained as I cutted him off.
"Not humiliate me infront of everybody, yes that's correct." I said as I sarcastically smiled.
"Travis, why are you doing this? Does this mean that you don't actually like Juliet?" Romeo worriedly asked as we looked at each other.
"You see man, we are the popular students in this campus and that's what we do." Arthur said as Edward walked backwards.
"I'm not talking to you. Travis answer me, I have known you since sixth grade and I know you don't settle decisions like this." Romeo worriedly said as I sighed.
"Look Romeo, it's whats best for everybody alright?" I sighed as I looked up at him.
"You're doing the wrong thing, Travis. Don't let these popular students change you." Romeo said.
"I am not changing, Romeo. If only you do understand what's really going on, you would not talk to me like this." I replied as the popular kids looked at each other.
"I am not dumb to not understand Travis, you even avoided the question I asked about Juliet." Romeo said as he started to raise his voice.
"Why do you even care? You don't even like Juliet, you are with Lauren!" I scolded then Romeo looked down.
"I still don't understand why Lauren would reject a guy like me for someone like you." Edward said as he scoffed with William and Arthur.
"Would you shut up?!" Romeo scolded at Edward then they flinched.
"What did you said?" Edward asked as he went immediately to Romeo.
"Edward, stop! Don't even think about it!" I said as I went in between them both.
"Come on Edward, you don't want to fight with someone like Romeo who is weak." Arthur scoffed then Edward calmed down and went back to them.
"What are you waiting for, Travis? Let's go and give you our friend group jersey in my locker." William said.
"In a minute." I said as I glared at Romeo.
I turned around from Romeo then he suddenly spoke.
"Look Travis, I am your friend and I know what's best for you. I don't want you to do the same mistake I did, just please do the right thing." Romeo sighed.
"Whatever, it's not like you understand anything anyway." I said then the popular guys clapped at me and we left.
I honestly feel bad for Romeo, but he shouldn't jump to conclusions like that. I didn't have no choice but to let out my anger at him.
After school, the boys and I hang out for a little bit then I went home before my curfew. As I arrived at home, I went straight to my room and when I passed by Lauren's room I saw her bringing all of the things that Romeo gave to her inside a huge box.
"What are you doing?" I asked in confusion.
"Nothing, just some things Romeo gave to me." Lauren said as she looked at the box.
"Are you throwing them?" I asked.
"Why would I?" Lauren asked back as she looked up.
"Remember when you said before that if you throw some things that means something to you, it means you want to let go or atleast forget about it?" I said then she sighed and put down the box onto the floor.
"Can we go to my room?" She asked then I nodded and we went to her room.
"So?" I asked as she closed the door.
"Long story short, Romeo and I broke up." She said as she started to tear up.
"What? I don't understand, didn't you two had your first year anniversary a week ago?" I asked in confusion.
"Yes, but apparently he broke up with me that day through a l-letter." She said as she stuttered and started crying.
"Wh-Why didn't you tell me? I should've been there for you, Laury." I said as I comforted her.
"I didn't want to disturb you from being happy with Juliet. I've seen your huge smile and giggle on the day we broke up, and I didn't want to break the news yet." She said as she cried.
"Come on, Laury." I said as I gave her a hug and she hugged me back.
"Whether I am happy or not, you know I am always here for you. I am your brother and I don't want to see you cry over a guy." I said as I patted her head.
"I know which is why I am deeply sorry. That's why I had to throw some things just to move on from him." She sobbed.
"It's okay I understand, do you want a cup of coffee? I can make one right now if you want to." I pouted as we looked at each other.
"I would love to but I just had coffee with Juliet this afternoon, and I don't want to drink too much of it." She chuckled as we released from hugging.
"Wait, you and Juliet together at the coffee shop?" I asked in confusion.
"Uhh yes, why?" She asked in confusion then I sighed.
"I don't know, maybe I'm just nervous for her response, especially when she likes another guy." I said.
"We don't know maybe she could change her mind in the near future. Besides, you're doing the right thing to her, she deserves so much." She said as she smiled.
Well apparently, I am not doing the right thing, Lauren.
"You're right, thank you Laury. You're the best." I said as I smiled then she smiled back.
"Do you want me to stay and sleep here tonight?" I asked.
"If it's okay to you, then sure." She said.
"Of course, it is! You're my sister for a reason." I chuckled then she chuckled back.
"One day when you and Juliet will be together, I must say she will be one of the happiest and luckiest girls alive." She said as she smiled.
"I'll wait for that day." I said.
Afterwards, Lauren and I prepared another separate bed sheet for me to sleep on. We also had a little talk to have her calm down after her heartbreak.
On Monday
As I arrived to school, I immediately find Romeo to confront to him about him and my sister. Afterwards, I found him infront of his locker then I walked as fast I could to him but then I bumped into Juliet, bringing her books.
"Oh my gosh, I'm sorry Juliet, I didn't mean to." I apologized as we went down to get her books.
"No no, it's completely fine." Juliet nervously said as we stood up.
"I must go, and I have something to take care with. See you Juliet!" I said then I left.
"See you too!" She said as I started walking towards Romeo.
"Oh, so you're here to say sorry now?" Romeo asked as I arrived with a glare.
"You know Romeo, our friendship has been the longest compared to others. If you could've listen to me, none of this would happen." I scolded as he flinched.
"I've seen your bad sides Travis, I know you well than your new friends of yours." He said as he mocked me.
"And I've seen your bad sides as well as a boyfriend, Romeo." I said as I glared at him.
"Let me guess, Lauren told you." He said as he sighed.
"Of course, who would tell me on how much selfish you are to her!" I scolded as I raised my voice.
"You know what Travis? Maybe the only person between the two of us who is selfish is you! I didn't mean to hurt Lauren like that, besides I even asked her for another chance." He explained as I rolled my eyes.
"What I did for Juliet is right, and part of that bet is not only about her. Besides, I know Lauren, she only gives one chance to a person." I scoffed.
"You see, that is the problem with you, Travis. You always think about yourself before others. If you keep pissing me off like this, I would've tell Juliet about your stupid bet already, but as your friend I am trying to tell you what's right and you won't listen at all." He said as he started to raise his voice as well.
"The only person who is pissing me off right now is you, if only you knew that one of the reasons why I made the stupid bet is to protect you and Lauren's relationship for Edward!" I shouted then he gasped.
