Feng Guang Cannot Lead a War, but Neither Can General Tang.

"We'll be heading off to war in exactly… hm- twenty minutes? Is that too much time to head off in?" general Tang looked at the intricate watch that he had imported from the far west of the continent.

It wasn't the most accurate of watches, but it was shiny, and a symbol of great honor and prestige. He didn't mind thinking that it was some sort of status symbol that proved that he wasn't a beggar anymore.

He stared down at it with a small grin, knowing that the current emperor would never be able to afford the watch, even if he sold his entire family.

His little grin was subtle, but if you looked at his face you'd know exactly what general Tang was thinking. Something along the lines of, 'how much was that peasant worth anyway?'.

The Feng family may not have been the richest of the Wang kingdom's nobles in profit, but in revenue, it definitely was.

To put it simply, the Feng family earned a lot, but spent a lot too.
