Chapter 2- the second interview

I tapped my feet against the floor as I stood in the elevator to reach the top floor. The whole night I kept thinking about him.

He was so deliciously handsome that I felt like just taking a bite from his face.

I thought that for two reasons-

One, that I was really late as in 10minutes late.

And two that I was really hungry.

The doors slide open. I stepped out from the elevator. Quickly I ran towards the reception desk. His manager eyed me from head to toe and then sighed.

"He already left!" He said and got back to his work.

"What!? No look I'm sorry! Please!" I begged. He ignored. Then finally he looked back at me.

"You may go!" He ordered and without even looking at me he walked away.

I sighed and stood there for a moment. Tear drop trembled down my cheek. I turned on my heels and walked out from the building.

This was really unfair. I lost it. Now again I'll have to go through the adds and search for another job. The elevator door opened before I could press the buttons.

There he was! He looked at me and narrowed his eyes. I turned my back on him and wiped away the tear trail.

Then again facing him, but looking down. I didn't wanted to make any eye contact.

He stepped out and the doors closed. I stared at him blankly. He did to. God I feel like eating those beautiful eyes. He is just so perfect.

"You are late" he said in a husky voice. I batted my eyelashes when it clicked to me that he was talking to me.

"I'm. ..sorry sir! But-" he shoved his hand and I stopped. Then he walked towards his cabin. I stared his back.

He stopped and looked over his shoulder and said.

"Are you coming?" I trembled my way towards his direction and followed him.

Oh thank god!

Then like a gentlemen he held his cabin door open for me to enter first. No eye contact please.

I stepped in and waited for him to walk to the other side. He gestured me to take the seat. So I sat down and the cushion made a funny fart noise. Awkward.

He held back his laughter and cleared his throat.

"So Divya Rathode?" He said flipping over the pages from my resumé. The way his amazingly long fingers tangled with my resumé was just cherry on the top.

Divya focus! Okay the chairs, the window. His beautiful face..! Oh no.

"Is there a problem Ms. Rathode?" I quickly snapped my head in his direction, realizing that he was staring at me.

"No sir! The interior is very mesmerizing! " I chuckled. He nodded. Then back to the file.

"Okay, so, you have a degree in hotel management course..." he said shaking his head. Then looked back at me. I tried really hard not to blush. I pinched my self so that I would focus, but instead was left with a bruise on my arm.

"Okay done!" He said and held out the file.

I quickly took it from his grip when our fingers touched slightly. He didn't hesitated, I did. God!

He got up and adjust his suit and then looked at me. I trembled up from my chair and then stared at him blankly.

He turned his gaze towards the watch and then looked back at me.

"So now that you are here, let's get started!" He said and walked out. I was about to step out after him when the door slammed on my face and broke my glasses. I fell down on my back.

"Ahhh...!" I moaned in pain. I looked up and he stood in front of me grinning like a proud lion. He didn't even bothered to help me get up. As soon as I got up I heard the crowd laughing in front of me. I walked my way out from there awkwardly.

"Divya wait!" I heard him calling. But I ran straight towards the washroom.

I felt so embarrassed. The first day I make a fool out of my self what will happen the rest of the years? I covered my face with my palm and wiped away the tear trails.

Then my eyes examined the red plump on my forehead. And that was really painful. He was laughing at me! I saw it. And then I remembered about my broken glasses.

"Divya!" Someone yelled from the other side of the door. I quickly wiped away the blood that rolled down my forehead and held a tissue over my head.

I walked towards the door. And swung it open. It was Ramesh. Or Amit

"Manish!" Oh yes Manish!

"Are you alright? I saw you running from the crowd!" Then he raised his sight up to my forehead and starred with wide eyes.

"No I don't think so.." I said stepping out and closing the door behind.

"Okay come with me!" He said and grabbed my arm and dragged me to his cabin. He then made me sit on his couch and examined my wound after tossing the tissue paper in the bin.

"Oh! Its nothing!" He said and walked towards his big brown desk and grabbed the first aid box.

Then he sat just across where I was sitting and leaned forward.

His cologne smelled like hot Indian spices. He dapped my wound with cotton and then softly said.

"Now this will hurt a little bit, but you can handle it right?"

Just like my mom! He is so damn sweet.

After he was done he got up and placed the box back to its original position. Then he turned to look at me.

"Where are your glasses?" He asked. I jumped up suddenly remembering that they might be still lying on his floor.

"Thank you so much Manish!" I said and was about to walk out when he grabbed my hand and pulled me closer to him.

I held his shoulders for support which were surprisingly strong. That's when I realize that I was about to trip and fall down, again. And he saved me.

The moment I was stable he pulled away and cleared his throat.

"Okay, so meet you at lunch?"

"Yeah sure!"

Then I carefully walked out from his cabin, but then I turned and was about to ask him, he looked up and said.

"Go straight and then turn right. We'll meet at two o' clock. I'll come!" He said and waved a goodbye. I scoffed and nodded.

Then I was on my way to see that arrogant son of a b****.
