18. Talk With Her

Rissa noticed that Satria looked disappointed. She had never behaved like that before with anyone. Satria saw the wet chair that Rissa had been sitting on it. Suddenly, Satria looked at her, but Rissa hastily looked away.

Rissa knew her attitude was not polite. Anyway, she didn't want Satria to pay too much attention to her because it felt awkward. Rissa guessed that Satria had feelings for her. Somehow, she didn't wish Satria to expect too much from her.

Drama and choir rehearsals were nearly an hour late. Miss Kiki didn't come; there was only Mr Rudy. So, Satria became the leader of the choir, replaced Miss Kiki for a while. His face was more severe than usual, and he wasn't showing off a smile with big teeth like he always did. Satria only focused on the song.

Rissa didn't dare to look bluntly at Charlos. She only noticed him once in a while. His nose is very pointy, and his face was very smooth in the light of the lamp.

Rissa still wore Charlos's jacket. If Charlos did not lend his jacket to Rissa, she could freeze to death. Rissa is very grateful for that, but his heart was still sad to see Charlos's attitude had turned fierce.

She is not on the same level as Charlos. He was a wealthy businessman that has everything in his life and was handsome too. Meanwhile, she is just an ordinary employee, especially if she saw at her look now. Her hair was messy, and her clothes were wet. She didn't feel pretty at all.

Handsome men should indeed be side by side with beautiful women. Something flashed through her mind. Could it be that the woman was Charlos's mistress? The woman might have been someone's wife so that the Golden Group would not remain successful if the CEO had a scandal with that woman.

Rissa took a deep breath. She could be right. Although this is still just an assumption, it feels very reasonable because there isn't a single right reason to make Charlos's attitude change so much that he has to threaten Rissa with everything.

That night, practice ended at nine o'clock. Rissa took her bag hastily. She wanted to get out of here as soon as possible. The sky has not yet finished with the drops of water that are getting heavier and heavier. There was no umbrella, so she used her bag to protected her head. She hoped her cellphone was fine. Rissa had wrapped it in plastic.

The bus stop is a bit far from the Rajawali Multipurpose Building. She still had to walk a few more meters.

A black sedan stopped in front of her. Rissa just walked past it. Suddenly, the car honked twice that made Rissa jump in surprise.

Rissa didn't dare to look up; she just kept walking. The person who got out of the car, covering his head with his hands, called out her name. "Rissa! Rissa!"

Then Rissa turned. She took aback when she realized that it was Charlos.

Someone had seen Charlos with Reva. Anyway, Charlos regretted being rude to Rissa. He shouldn't have looked like that. It could be that Rissa knows something. So, Charlos plans to approach Rissa and have a nice talk with her.

Charlos was saving the wings he had used after drama rehearsal. He saw Rissa in a hurry to leave the hall. Charlos tries to catch up with her, but Satria blocks his way.

"Hey! Where are you going, Charlos? Why you so hurry? I didn't bring my car today because it is being serviced. So, I will come with you."

"Not now, Sat! I have business now!" said Charlos.

He left Satria immediately that made Satria by surprise. He looked at Charlos in disbelief.

Charlos hit the accelerator and sped out of the training hall. Well, there he saw Rissa. The woman was walking alone in the rain.

Charlos felt pity for the woman. What a clumsy girl. In this rainy season, she does not bring an umbrella. So, he stopped his car in front of Rissa.

Rissa just kept walking, not even glancing at him. So, he honked her that made the woman looked surprised, but she kept walking. Furiously, Charlos got out of the car and called out her name.

"Rissa! Rissa!"

The rain was quite heavy, soaking his head and face.

Rissa turned her head slightly, silent for a moment. Reluctantly, she approached Charlos' car.

"Get in!" said Charlos. Charlos opened the door for Rissa from inside. Then, she finally got into the car. So, Charlos locked the door immediately.

He didn't know what to say. So, he moved his fingers to the steering wheel while Rissa was busy herself tidying up her messy hair, wiping her wet face with her hands. Charlos automatically handed over the tissue.

"What is the matter, Sir? Why do you call me?" Rissa asked politely, not daring to look Charlos's eyes.

Charlos snorted. Why does that woman keep calling him 'sir'?

"Just Charlos, okay!" snapped Charlos that made the woman was surprised. Maybe he was too harsh.

Charlos rolled his eyes. "Listen. I'm sorry. I should have—"

"You don't have to say sorry, Sir," Rissa interrupted his word. "I'm just fine." She lowered her head.

Charlos looked at Rissa in disbelief. He pursed his lips, making his dimples visible. A few seconds passed, and Charlos didn't find the right words to continue the conversation.

Finally, Rissa took a breath and then spoke, "I don't know what's exactly on your mind. You said that you liked my presentation, but a second later you said that you would cancel the contract. I don't dare to be suspicious about your life, but I'm preety sure you're hiding something."

Suddenly, Charlos felt tense; this woman had frightened him. His eyes stared at Rissa sharply, but Rissa only showed an innocent face.

"You don't need to know anything. I just want you not to tell anyone about my meeting in the parking lot or at the coffee shop. Easy, isn't it?"

"It's easy if I understand the reason why I have to obey your wishes. I just thought there was something strange. You spoke as if you were going to face something bad and maybe this had something to do with your good name," Rissa continued.

"You are a very talkative woman." Charlos's hands were shaking with emotion. He realized that he had misbehaved with the wrong person.
