27. The Red Dress

Rissa re-opened the invitation. The church's location is where the holy matrimony will take place, and the wedding reception site was written on the invitation. Rissa blinked her eyes in disbelief. The wedding reception was held at the Golden Ring Hotel. The Golden Group's six-star luxury hotel is none other than Charlos's hotel.

Rissa feels a massive gap between herself and Charlos, which is undeniably erected into the surface. Only a lucky woman can get the heart of the handsome angel, and that woman was exactly not her.

Finally, after a tiring Saturday afternoon, because Rissa had to be busy dealing with some problems in the supply of raw materials, she went to Esther's house. Luckily, she only worked half a day on Saturday. The reception began at six, so she still had a few hours to get ready.

Esther's house was luxurious. All the furniture and designs are so minimalist and elegant. The living room dominates the pastel colours along with the table.

Now, they were in Esther's room which was on the second floor. Rissa was amazed when she saw her super cool room. The walls are covered with wallpaper with a classic red motif. It felt like every ornament in the room was so interconnected, like puzzle pieces.

Esther's large wedding photo hangs on the wall above her bed. She looks wonderful and young. Even now, Esther didn't look any older. Her skin is smooth without wrinkles.

"Rissa, I want you to see something." Esther handed her a small blue rectangular box. Rissa was curious about the contents.

"What is this?"

"You'd better open it, but before you open it let me tell you. You are the first person who has seen the contents of the box after me. So, just open it!" said Esther with a smile.

"Are you sure?" Esther nodded.

So, Rissa opened the box. It felt like she didn't need to be surprised anymore by the contents. Of course, it is the pregnancy test. In the middle of the tool, there are two solid red lines. A smile spread across Rissa's face.

"Thank goodness," said Rissa, more like a sigh of relief. "I'm so happy, Esther. Congratulations! I will have a nephew or niece, maybe."

They hug each other. So excited, Rissa dropped the blue box. "Oops, sorry!" Then Rissa crouched down to pick it up. She put the pregnancy test into place.

"It's okay. After all, this is just a pregnancy test. I will tell Anton when he comes home." Esther smiled briefly, then she turned worried.

"What's wrong, Esther? Are you feeling nauseous again?" asked Rissa, worried. She led Esther to sit on the bed.

"I'm not nauseous, but I'm so afraid to tell Anton about my pregnancy. What if he's not happy with this?" Esther looked so sad, and she almost cried.

"Why did you say that?" Rissa put her hand on Esther's stomach. "I'm sure that Mr Anton will be very happy to hear this happy news. The important thing is that you don't have to be sad."

"Okay," said Esther sighed once then nodded. She smiled a little.

Then, Esther looked at the clock on the wall and took aback. "Rissa! We don't have much time. Let's start now!"

Esther quickly took out her dresses from a room filled with her clothes. Rissa was still amazed to see Esther's dressing room. Well, a wardrobe was enough for her.

"The invitation paper is red. I'm pretty sure the concept must be red too. I think you should wear this dress." Esther held up a long red dress with a loose-fitting top. She helped Rissa to put on the red dress.

Rissa was amazed to see the beautiful red dress on her body. However, she didn't feel confident wearing it. She wholly exposed her cleavage. And also, her curves are clearly imprinted. Actually, the dress is very comfortable to wear. Rissa can't express in words how beautiful this dress is.

For a moment, she doubted whether she deserved to wear it? She is just an ordinary girl. Esther insisted that it was the only dress that really suited her. Instead of arguing, Rissa finally agreed to wear the dress.

Esther started to put the make-up on Rissa's face, but she didn't allow Rissa to look into the mirror. So, Esther did the make-up like she was painting on the canvas.

Esther curled Rissa's hair and then pinned it to the side, forming a simple bun. Then, she put a shiny earring and necklace on Rissa. Esther said that all the jewellery was not a real diamond. How can Rissa believe that this is not a real diamond even though it sparkles when exposed to light?

"Don't worry, Rissa. It's not a real diamond." Esther chuckled. "You look so beautiful."

"Really? I want to see the mirror."

Finally, after finished the make-up, then Esther allowed her to see the mirror.

"Wait a moment!"

Esther took a pair of gold shoes and handed them to Rissa. The size is one number too big, but it's doesn't matter. Rissa's toes are long and thin. So, she can match the shoes from number seven to nine.

"Well done." Esther then turned Rissa's body to the mirror.

What she saw in the mirror really wasn't her. The person in the mirror looked as surprised as her. Her body looks slim, and her face is so beautiful and smooth. Her eyelashes flickered as Rissa winked. It's really her, but it's not like Rissa as usual.

"You're so beautiful, Rissa. Do you like it?" asked Esther.

Rissa couldn't answer because she was so dumbfounded

"What's the matter, Rissa?"

"It's really not like me." She furrowed, unsure of how to express her admiration for the reflection in the mirror. "This is so amazing. You are talented, Esther!"

Esther chuckled. "You don't have to compliment me. You're just need a little polished and you're already pretty."

Rissa smiled at the mirror and still couldn't believe that it was her.
