The days continued on after that, migraine free, with no flashes of light or pictures. I was especially happy that time didn't stop or slow down. It really must have been all in my head. A pre-migraine symptom perhaps? As promised to William, I did go to the doctor's office, but they couldn't see any reason to worry. “Just stress,” they’d said, and told me to have more caffeine on a regular basis to see if that's what my system needed. Apparently, things like migraines and allergies could often develop after puberty and adulthood. Reliving the relief I felt from the news, I breathed out a long sigh as I told William everything at home.
