I asked Delling to let me say goodbye before I joined them, and he graciously understood. A few weeks passed. Alice and William returned from their honeymoon and flooded me with stories and pictures from their wonderful trip. Alice moved into the house the day after they returned, and ever since, it seemed like she had always lived there. Together, the three of us enjoyed many cookouts and movie nights, always with lots of laughter. Every day I made sure to focus every chance I could on spending it with her or William. All the while, concerts went well, and each appointment with Dr. Laura became more and more positive. She expressed her continued surprise at my speedy improvement after such a hard relapse.
