Bound by rules and obligation

Amila felt at loss. The selfish part of her thought that it's unfair of him to offer her to stay here so he can help her, But the reasonable part of her mind agreed with him.

Amila felt Jason's hand under her chin, Gently lifting her face to look at him and she found herself lost in his eyes that were mixed between black and red.

She felt her heart being torn between thinking about her parents and her feelings for the man who was in front of her.

"I don't know what I should do or say." Amila replied, looking at him.

Jason knew that she was in a complicated situation, At least he should try and make it easier for her.

"Take your time, I will be here waiting for you when you decide." He said, smiling at her.

Amila became curious to know why he was insisting on helping, She needed to know to clear any misunderstanding.

"Why are you doing this? I mean we only just met two times, We don't know each other well." Amila asked, looking at his face that held a serious expression now.

"Because I love you. From the first time that I saw you, I realized it when I held you in my arms that day in the forest. I felt possessive towards you and wanted to protect you, But like you, I'm bound by rules and obligation." He replied, Deciding to be honest, No lies, No beating around the bush.

Amila felt her blood rush to her cheeks as she stared at him agape and with wide eyes, Her heart was pounding in her chest and she started to feel dizzy.

Did he say he loves her? nor did her ears play tricks on her.

"I... I feel something towards you too, But I don't know if I can describe it as love." Amila replied feeling the need, to be honest.

Jason smiled and bent down Kissing her forehead.

"I know and I understand, No need to push yourself, Go back to your parents and take your time." He said holding her hand in his, pulling her towards the bed.

"Now rest, Tomorrow morning, I will send you with your father and friend to your town." Jason said.

He had informed her about her friend's condition once she woke up the second time.

"Can I go and see, Lily?" She asked in her low and quiet voice.

"Of course, Come with me." Jason replied walking towards the door and she followed him.

When Amila stepped out of the room, She couldn't help but admire the beautiful design of the castle.

"Breathtaking." Amila muttered under her breath.

She had stopped following him, As she stared at the huge castle.

Feeling a pair of arms on her shoulder, Amila jumped in surprise.

"Don't you want to see your friend?" Jason asked, looking down at her.

He sensed her stopped following him when he reached the end of the corridor.

"Ah, Yes, I'm sorry, I was destructed." Amila said, Trying to hide the blush that appeared on her face.

His face was too close to hers and she felt embarrassed to look at him, Though she wanted to look at his handsome face.
