Sean's POV
I stood still on the balcony waiting for her to come home. She hasn't been home since last night which she should have been. I haven't had a proper sleep worrying about her. Soon enough I saw a small robin flying hard towards where I stand. I stepped aside allowing her to land. She changed back and was on her knees catching her breath.
"Why are you a robin? Weren't you a griffin when you left?" I asked. She was still catching her breath before answering me.
"It's a long story. But good news, I confirmed that he's there and told me to wait. He promised he'll be home soon so let's be patient for now." She replied. I nodded once and looked at the town. She leaned forward on the railings also watching the town with me.
"You missed him too don't you?" She uttered. I didn't respond. She already knows my answer. I do miss him a lot as much as she does. He said he would be home two weeks after he left but hasn't returned since then. He does send us letters letting us know that he was fine. but I can't shake this feeling knowing I don't know where he is. We tried tracking him down and finally found him.
"Luckily, he's with Vincent so he should be fine. Oh, and funny thing, he's disguised as a palace dog in Aimosan." She continued. I looked at him with one of my brows raised.
"A dog? Disguise? Why?" I asked.
"I don't know. He didn't tell me. He just said me to wait and promised that he will be home soon." I looked back at the town and was interrupted when we heard a knock. I told them to come in. It was Hayden and Ellen.
"What can I do for you?" I asked not looking at them.
"Your highness, Prince Tyler had returned." Ellen reported while looking down. I turned around and walked to the door. I thanked them and told them to return to their posts. My sister, who was a robin, followed me outside to greet Tyler. We arrived at the stairs and saw his clothes were covered in blood.
"Sean, Taylor." He greeted us then bowed. We did the same. I looked at Spencer who was just behind him.
"Oh, you came to greet us, how sweet. So Taylor, got I got you something." He said and took a small gift behind him wrapped in a towel. He took it off and showed a familiar-looking dagger.
"Oh my gosh! Is that what I think it is?" Taylor exclaimed. she ran down the stairs and went closer to Spencer. He sure spoils her a lot.
"Yup, it is. It's the first dagger you once lost when you were five. I found it in the forest where you lost and it was covered in mud." He announced. No wonder it looked familiar. I went downstairs closer to them and took the dagger.
"I'm surprised this was still there. It's been like 13 years since this was lost. Let's have it cleaned." I called on Hayden and asked him to clean this.
"Woah, Hayden is still here? How long will he stay here?" Spencer asked.
"He will be here for 9 months as what the punishment is. He had 14 more days left." Tyler. He walked to the kitchen and drank some water.
"So, have you confirmed where he was? How is he?" Tyler asked after he drank.
"Oh, he's fine. He's doing well. He's at the Aimosan as you have discussed. And he's disguised as a palace dog. Though I don't know why or what his reasons are, he told me told to head home and wait for him. He said that he'll explain everything once he gets back." Taylor responded. Tyler just nodded. Silence once broke a voice was heard from behind us.
"What are you guys up to?" We turned around and saw our cousin, Prince William Gregg Sheehan. The eldest child of Sheehan Royal family of Aezidour Kingdom. His father and my mother were siblings and his father married the young maiden of Aezidour. After their marriage, His father decided to move to Aizedour and became the king there and handed over the kingdom to my mother. He is also the eldest among all of us cousins. He had two younger siblings.
Our grandparents had 4 children. 2 males and females. My mother was the second child. His father was the eldest. the other 2 were twins. While his father ruled over Aezidour and my mother here in Preacurin, one of the twins, the female one, stayed in Preacurin as a dressmaker. The other set off to a different kingdom as a woodworker. He wasn't cast or that he left, he just chose to be one and my family accepted it. It was a good thing too, It helped us know whether they are a friend or a foe. His family moved from kingdom after kingdom after he jotted down notes of what their kingdom is. That way we can know whether they are friends or a foe to us. For now, they have settled n Aimosan. Somewhere safer and a better environment for his wife who is 5 months pregnant.
"Nothing much, we just found out where Stefan is. We just don't know why he's in there." Spencer replied. We all sat down in the living room and talked there.
"Well, as long as he knows what he's doing, then that's fine. We'll just be there when he needs us." He responded. "So Taylor, any plans on finding a husband. You are 18 right? At this age, you must've found your ideal man. I mean, your brothers are also having their marriage soon, except for Sean. So is there anything you want? I can help you." He changed the subject. I indeed have no plans on marrying anyone as of the moment, I am just waiting for a certain person.
"Not really. I just plan to enjoy life till I get old. It doesn't matter whether I find a man or not. As long as I am happy, I'll be fine. Why do I need a man anyways when I can take care of myself. Having a husband with me is just a bonus in life. So, why bother?" She replied. Her simple straight-minded thought is something I adore about my sister. She's not like any other girl in any kingdom. She's just one of its kind and someone very special.
"Haha, I like that. For a second there, I thought you were gonna tell me you're into girls. I mean don't get me wrong. Look at you. Every female in every kingdom never does any hard works as you do. You do hunting and it is something only males do. Your aura is like Tyler. You even dress as Spencer does. I never once saw you in a gown." He explained. Come to think of it. He's right. I( just let Taylor do everything she wants so I don't really mind but, now that he mentioned it, I have to do something about it.
"Let her be. She can be who she wants to be and be herself if she wants to. I think she looks cool." Spencer supported. I wanna support her but I also want her to know what it's like to be feminine.
"Let her be, William. I think she just finds comfortable being herself that way." I just responded. I looked at Taylor who seems to be quiet. I'll talk to her later.
We decided to take a walk in the kingdom and met a few people outside. When I noticed Taylor wasn't around, I looked back and saw her looking at a dress shop where a red and a black gown was displayed by the window. I walked closer to her and patted her shoulder.
"What's wrong, Taylor? Do you like it? Want me to buy it for you?" I asked. she just smiled and shook her head.
"It's nothing, Sean. I'm just wondering if it would suit once I wear it." She answered while still staring at the gown. I just patted her head pulled her in. She was surprised and couldn't move nor talk.
"Can I have something in her size? I want it exactly like the gown in the window." I asked the shop owner. She just nodded and looked for a gown. Taylor just stood behind me quietly. She was looking around the store.
Moments later she was called in to try the gown and she went in to check it. After a few minutes, she came out with her new gown on and constantly checking whether t suits her or not.
"How is it? Do I look ok?" She asked. I couldn't utter a word. Why didn't I let her wear this before. I snapped back to my senses when the owner tapped me.
"It looks good on you. Let's buy it." I stated. She just nodded. We head out and caught up with the rest of them.
We met them at the town's square and were surprised to see Taylor in her gown. All the people praised her she just smiled and thanked them.
