Chapter 3: am I dreaming?

"am I going to die?" he whimpered as he got up from the wet ground. he looked at the ground where the lightning had hit, only to open his eyes wide as he noticed something weird and shiny on the ground. "what is... that?" wooyoung mouthed as he walked next to the shiny object on the ground.

it was small clock of some kind. a pocket watch, to be exact. it looked like it was still working, but where did it come from? it certainly wasn't there before, and it only appeared after the lighting had struck.

wooyoung inspected the watch from far away before he took a step forward to take a closer look at the pocket watch. it was made of metal, maybe copper, and had a pretty, long chain attached to it. it had some decor to it. pretty roses were decorating the back of the watch, which made wooyoung's eyes shine. he had never seen such a pretty object in his life. it was almost magical, even.

he looked at the time. "6.28..." he whispered to himself. "but it's midnight?" he tilted his head curiously. "where did this clock come from?" he looked at the sky with the clock still in hand. the rain had died down, only pouring a little anymore. it seemed as if the thunder had disappeared as fast as it appeared, too.

he looked back at the pocket watch, only to realize that the clock part of the watch was gone. it startled him so much that he dropped the watch on the ground. it didn't seem to break from the fall, which made him relax a little, but he was now a little cautious.

picking up the watch from the ground again, he turned it around to see if the clock part was still missing, and it really was. "but it was there just a moment ago..." wooyoung tilted his head again.
