"So care to explain everything?" Ellie asked after their initial warm exchange. They sat around on the floor carpet in the living room, making themselves comfortable. Joseph leaned against the sofa behind him, Danny who was sitting beside Joseph was trying his hardest to suppress his fanboy antics after learning that Joseph was the Dark Knight. FPS fans all know about the legend that Joseph left behind as the Dark Knight, his success in Strike Two is considered as the most any professional player can ever achieve. He set multiple records that are still standing till this day, there are no FPS players that don't look up to the Dark Knight and the Iron Queen.

After introducing themselves to each other and learning of the Dark Knight's real name, Lily started explaining everything. "3 years ago Joseph here debuted as the Dark Knight with the Iron Queen. The game Strike Two featured two Player vs Player (PVP) modes, 1v1 and 2v2."

"The game did not have movement firing error nor any spray patterns, the map size was also small thus it prioritized movement and precision."

"Joseph dominated the scene in the 2v2 ranked game mode together with the Iron Queen. They both then went onto tournaments and won it all as well."

Everyone listened attentively as Lily went on.

"He wore a mask that covered his face, same goes for the Iron Queen, thus their real identities were never revealed."

Danny thought about Sera who approached them yesterday as Lily went on.

"But before their debut match in the regional tournament qualifiers, Joseph was in a horrendous state, he acted like he was on the verge of a breakdown, I was their opponent's manager that day and he did not look fine at all. I figured I should show some concern and asked Joseph to come over to our team room."

Lily's face darkened as she explained further

"In there, he was in tears behind the mask, I asked what was wrong and he told me he was being abused heavily by his partner. I was furious upon hearing that and wanted to report it to the organizers."

Joseph gave a serious look and interrupted at this time,

"I needed to stop you right there, not for my sake but for my family."

Lily looked at Joseph sadly and continued

"Afterwards you went on to win against us and pretended everything was alright. You told me not to worry about this whole incident as it was just the nerves taking over you."

"We had more interactions here and there afterwards, meeting up in other tournaments, Joseph would always act as if he was happy and hid his pain away. On your final tournament win, the one which was international, you messaged me out of nowhere, confessing to the lies you have told me..."

The room grew cold afterwards, Joseph dare not look at anyone and stared at the floor. It took a while before Danny broke the silence. "Joseph disappeared from the scene afterwards right?" Danny asked. "What exactly happened to you afterwards?"

Ellie, Lily and Danny turned to look at Joseph's evading gaze and he simply replied : "It's complicated, I have changed my life completely and I'm in a better place now."

"Are you sure?" Lily looked at him menacingly as she swung her arms aggressively at Joseph "I'm not about to be lied to again!"

Joseph dodged her arms and reassured Lily : " I really am, Danny here can attest to this."

"Yeah he has lots of friends at school and also many girls fawn over him." Danny jumped in and testified for Joseph, giving a wink to Joseph in the midst of it all. Lily gave a reassured look and backed off before continuing : "Truth be told Joseph, since your already here I have a request."

"What is it? I will do anything for you."

Lily looked at her sister, and proceeded : "Ellie is planning to take part in this year's 'All Fight' regional tournament qualifiers, she has yet to form a team and she needs someone like you."

Ellie was excited over the prospect of having the Dark Knight on her team, except that her experiences with him today was a little too unstable. "I need the Dark Knight, not a guy that freezes." Ellie responded. Lily gave a puzzled look , Ellie sighed and explained to her everything that happened today. "It seems like you are still affected..." Lily reacted after hearing all that. Lily was heavily concerned about Joseph's well-being and wanted him to let go of his past and live in the present happily. Wait, what if he has an opportunity to take revenge?

Lily eyes widened as she recalled a piece of information that she heard from a reliable source and said : "The Iron Queen has recently reappeared again and she will be participating in this year's 'All Fight' regional tournament." Danny was astounded by what she said and gasped, Joseph felt anger in his veins after hearing that, clenching his fists.

"Actually fine, for you I will help Ellie, for myself however, I will-"

"Revenge?"

"Yes."

Lily face brightened and she announced to the room : "Alright Ellie! Tomorrow your transferring to Joseph's school.", "What!" Ellie reacted in shock, "Are you serious?". "Yup!"

Joseph interrupted at this moment : "It's getting late, I need to go back home." Danny agreed and nodded his head as well. Lily and Ellie bid them farewell shortly afterwards. Ellie asked shortly after they left : "If I'm not wrong, the Dark Knight was also the top ranked player in 1v1 modes as well right?" She has only heard bits of the legend behind the Dark Knight as she only got involved in the FPS scene when All Fight came out.

"Yes, most notably he won a thousand games in a row, a perfect 1000 - 0 record."
