Ryu Sei's expectation reached the peak of condition, his heart pulsating so fast that he could feel every beat on the tip of his fingers, time seemed to be passing slowly. Under his watchful eyes, the fight began, and it lasted only a single moment.

Nura's left foot moved slightly, while his right hand clenched into a fist on the side of his body, he did a small rotating movement with his waist to put all bodyweight on that strike.

He put everything he had in that punch, his fist advanced forward, starting from his side.

In the next moment, Nura bent forward, spitting saliva while he emitted a groan in pain. The man on his right had his fist stuck deep in his belly.

He dropped to his knees the exact moment that another punch hit his face, the man of the front had struck without any mercy.

All three assailants gathered around Nura, who was downed with his hands covering his face and his knees bent protecting his belly, they started to kick him mercilessly.

Even after he stopped moving, they continued to kick him until they were satisfied and could vent their anger at Nura's attempt to punch them.

When the assailants were satisfied with the beating, they inspected the motionless body and found a spatial ring, they picked the ring and left celebrating after give a warning to Ryu.

"You at least know how to behave. Better no one knows about what happened here.".

The three left talking about how they would go to a city nearby and get some alcohol.

Ryu Sei was static in shock the entire time, only a few seconds after no one appeared on the street, he turned back to his senses. He went to the body and checked if he was still breathing, confirming that Nura was still alive, then he carried the unconscious man on his back home.

It took an hour before Nura finally awakened, and Ryu Sei had treated most of the wounds by applying bandages to stop the bleeding, so Nura was no longer in danger, probably.

"Thank you." Nura said, moving from his lying down position to sit down, but, every minor move he made, he emitted a groan in pain.

"No need to apologize, but..." Ryu Sei is very uncomfortable with the situation, not knowing if he should bring the subject or not, however, he still decided to speak.

"... what happened there? When you confronted them, I was expecting you to appear with an ultimate move and destroy all of them. Why did you do something so stupid?"

Nura laughed, just to receive another recoil on his ribs from all the damage.

"It was pretty stupid, wasn't it?"

"But I would not tolerate someone looking down on me again and take everything I have without even trying to put a fight on, compared to that, getting a beat it's nothing.

Besides, this is part of my strategy." in Nura's eyes, a deep and serious look, a look that makes Ryu Sei think that there was much more about that fight than just some random robbery.

"I don't know, in my opinion, avoid a beating would be a better course of action. But if you are okay with it..." Ryu Sei could only think that the other is a masochist.

For the rest of the day, Nura and Ryu stood in their home, depressed with the outcome.

None of them had ever imagined that their first day in the sect, after awakening the system, would be like this. In books, the system always appears at the final moment to trigger some godly skill to help overcome the situation, no matter how bad the situation was.

That was the kind of system Ryu Sei was expecting, and now his only thought is that this sect's system is useless. He was there the whole time watching the scene. And there was no sign of the system triggering some quest or granting him some skill to interfere in the fight.

But no, there was nothing from the system.

Another day began, and despite the late hour and the blanket covering Ryu Sei's whole body, the cold prevailed over him.

Cold is not something strange for this northern region, but what made him think about it is that last day he felt like he was going to freeze, but today he was feeling much comfortable.

'Am I getting used to this cold already? I thought it would take some time.' Ryu Sei raised from his bed to prepare himself for another day.

'I hope something like that didn't happen again."

Ryu Sei noticed that Nura was not home, he had woken up late, but Nura had too many wounds on his body how he was able to wake early and get out was a mystery.

Ryu was concerned that the other would do something reckless, like reporting the robbery to the sect or trying to get revenge. None of these options were good, the sect did not care about disciples' affairs, he knew that most academies, in fact, turn a blind eye to bullying.

About trying to get revenge, how can he do that after being beaten without even a chance to fight back, if he goes back to face them, he would just end up being beaten unconscious again.

Pushing those thoughts aside, Ryu brought his focus to his own problem.

'What should I do now? Go to mission Hall and get a quest? Do some training?' his first class to attend would only happen in 3 days, and he doesn't know how to use his system properly nor does he know how he should be training.

As if reading his mind, he heard a pep sound, and a screen appeared.

'So the system does have trigger quests. That guy could have just said it straight. Tsk, trying to play wise and mysterious.' Ryu shifted his attention to read his very first quest.

He could not help but feel enthusiastic.
