Chapter 108 - Daughters of Darkness

Tansy scribbled the address Mark Rochester read to her over the phone. “Sea Winds Subdivision, you said? Okay, got it. I really do appreciate this, Mark.” She dropped the pen on her desk and leaned back in her chair. “I’m hoping this man can give us some insight into his granddaughter. If he can’t, I’ll reach out to her mother. Since the Darkness didn’t go after Maggie or the others, there has to be something else it’s after. I’m only assuming it has to do with Clara, but it’s all I have to go on right now.”

“I get it,” the detective said into the phone. “If I can do anything else, let me know. I’ll have the department put out an all-points bulletin on her, see if we can’t locate her for you.”

Tansy clenched her eyes shut, placing a hand on her forehead. Stupid. I could have done the same thing. She opened her eyes, stretching them wide a moment. “Thanks. I’ll let you know what we find out.”

They hung up, and Tansy immediately called Kayla.
