EARTH 2.0 Beta Run

Since this is a beta run, Zhang Wei didn't put more effort into leveling. He tried to familiarize himself with the game, he even tried a few things that were known only by game developers and himself. While Zhang Wei was doing his things, the other three people were sent to a beginner town (small town) called Azfield Town.

During this beta run, only 8 beginner's towns were opened. As a result, each beginner town population is around 25,000 online players. Azfield Town was named after a series of gangsters' history in this town.

Formerly this town was ruled by a gangster family. However, after a few centuries of evolution, it gradually changed into a law-abiding town.

Sui Jianguo, Yen Qiang, and Gan Li were sent to this town because of their IP address. All of them had never played a virtual reality online game before so it is quite interesting to see them together.

Gan Li looked at his hands and was quite shocked, he couldn't believe it, it looked so real. He touched his face, and he could feel the coolness of his fingers. He jumps a few times and he feels like this is the real world, not the one he left behind inside the capsule.

All three of them were doing the same things, touching and testing their body flexibility. While they were doing this, some people were watching them.

"Another country bumpkin just arrived, Haha!" Laugh a male swordsman with his friend, both of them were level 10.

"This must be their first time playing a virtual reality game, Haha!" A level 10 male archer was adding the heat.

Sui Jianguo and Yen Qiang looked at the 2 players with blank expressions. Their job in real life taught them to be patient. However, Gan Li couldn't stand it, he used to be the boss but now 2 players which were younger than him were laughing at him.

"Do you have any problem?" Gan Li was standing in front of the 2 players.

"Problem? Haha! A country bumpkin!"

"A level 1 player trying to intimidate us? This must be the first time, Ha!Ha!Ha!" Because of the 2 players' loud laugh, other players started gathering hoping to watch a good show.

"So what if both of you are level 10, do you think I am scared of you? There are 3 of us here against you 2!" Gan Li thought that the 3 of them were able to overpower the 2 players like in real life.

Sui Jianguo and Yen Qiang were pale listening to Gan Li's remarks. Did he think fighting here is just like in the real world?

"Haha!!!!" Suddenly the swordsman, the archer, and the crowds were laughing hard.

This might be the first-ever for a level 1 player threatening a level 10 player in their entire gaming career. They couldn't believe what Gan Li had said. There is no way a level 1 player can beat a level 10 player.

Bukkk! Without any warning, the swordsman swings his sword and kills Gan Li in one move, while the archer kills Sui Jianguo and Yen Qiang. It was overkill, 3 level 1 players with only 100 hp died on the spot. Gan Li's view became gray, he wanted to say something but was sent back to the login screen.

NPC Rose: Hello there again, would you like to continue or quit the game?

Gan Li without thinking any further pressed the continue button. He, like others, was sent to Azfield's starting point again. Every time a player dies, he will be sent back to the same starting point again, unless a save point has already been established by the player.

"Hello Uncle, did you miss me again?" The smiling swordsman standing next to Gan Li, he was waiting for him.

Bukkk! Gan Li's view became gray again, he died for the second time in less than 1 minute! Sui Jianguo and Yen Qiang had the same ending. Both of them knew if they pressed the continue button again, the archer would be waiting for them. So they decided to quit the game temporarily. However, Gan Li pressed the continue button and was welcome with another Bukk! He died for the 3rd time.

"Wow, that grandpa was so persistent! HaHa!" The swordsman was happily laughing, bullying a level 1 player.

After dying 3 times Gan Li logged out from the game, he had enough of getting killed by the same swordsman. Still, with his angry face, he went out of the gaming room and to his surprise, Sui Jianguo and Yen Qiang were waiting for him outside the room.

"Have you played an online game before or any game?" Asked Sui Jianguo, the question confused Gan Li.

"Does a Restaurant Tycoon game consider an online game? I have played this game before, others I have not." Since his childhood was protected too much by his father, he never played any PC or mobile game. After his father passed away, he tried Restaurant Tycoon but gave up after a few weeks of playing.

"Really? What kind of world have you been living before?" Sui Jianguo and Yen Qiang couldn't believe Gan Li's answers. They wanted to laugh at Gan Li, but seeing his face still fuming, laughing at him will be a bad idea.

"I think we should ask Zhang Wei to help us. The swordsman and his friend might still be waiting for us to log in." Without waiting for others to agree, Yen Qiang quickly went to Zhang Wei's gaming room.

At this moment, Zhang Wei was watching a group of players against a level 70 BOSS monster. During this BETA run, a player's maximum level capped at 70. This also includes the final map and monsters available. Base experience also increased by 10 times to level up.

The 20 players against the BOSS were from the same guild called Cosmo Guild. Their co-operation is top-notch. Anyone was able to guess that this group had been playing together for a very long time to have this kind of fluent understanding. The group was led by the Vice Guild Leader called MorningStar. He was a level 70 Tanker Knight equipped with 6 pieces of silver color equipment.

"Healers prepare to heal tankers! The Boss is entering the final stage, tankers use all your final life-saving skills!" Shouted MorningStar.

The final boss entered its final stage for having 10% or less hp (health point) left. Every boss monster will use its powerful spell or skill on every 10% drop in hp. While for the last 10% hp, it will turn into a berserk mode doubling the damage rate but reducing its defense value by 50%. Any group capable of enduring its damages during this time will be able to slay the Monster BOSS.

Zhang Wei came to this map to check on the final boss's location. Even though the game Ai will randomly spawn the boss's location, knowing one of its spawning locations will give a player a major advantage.

While watching the Cosmo Guild enduring the boss's final skill, he suddenly heard someone knocking on his glass room door. It must be so important that someone is willing to ignore one of the gaming room rules. Zhang Wei wanted to see the raid till the end but due to the knocking, he logged out of the game. To his surprise, all of his new friends aka colleagues were standing in front of his room door.

"Something happens?" Asked Zhang Wei in his surprised tone.

"We can't play the game." Answered Yen Qiang.

"What do you mean? The capsule malfunction?" Zhang Wei was confused with the answer.

"No, some players were camping on the beginner spawning locations, killing everyone. We died twice." Explained Sui Jianguo without implicating Gan Li.

"Oh I see, what is the player's name?"

"BanJinGan a swordsman and his friend SheShou69 an archer, both level 10."

"Okay wait for 10 minutes and try to log in again." Zhang Wei went back to his game capsule room and logged on to Earth 2.0.

When Zhang Wei appeared again on the level 70 map, the boss raid was already over. The Cosmo Guild Vice Leader MorningStar had ended collecting the loot (monster's drop). He already knew a few players were watching their boss raid, but nobody had the guts to steal their loot. Their guild name was well known all over China and in the international gaming community. Nobody stupid enough to make an enemy with them for a BETA run loot.

Zhang Wei took his return stone, then he held it tight for 3 seconds, he suddenly disappeared and teleported into his last saved point. His last save point was in the Basic City, without waiting any longer, he entered into one of the teleportation points and chose Azfield Town.

Upon reaching Azfield Town, he walked straight to the beginner spawning location which is just outside the town. While walking to the south of the town, he became the main attention of other players. Azfield Town contained a few leveling maps, and after level 15, a player needs to move into another town due to the experience obtained here becoming abysmal.

Seeing a level 65 player wandering in this town is quite rare, that is why Zhang Wei becomes the main focus of attention for the crowds.

"Senior, please help me to level up, I pay well." Some of the new players began to ask Zhang Wei for help.

"Senior… Please wait…" Suddenly a very cute voice stopped Zhang Wei's step.
