The city was being purged of darkness. Half the troops for Faye’s army had already completed their part of the mission within the city and were heading out into the Plains to further clean out the concentration of Seguidores. Faye sat at the highest point of the Academy One building, where there was a heliport, and she looked out at the Western Plains with a smile.
“June’s Acres have been purged,” someone had said, “We’ve done our part, my Muse.”
Faye smiled as she heard this voice in her head... she’d been counting down the acres, with her journal in hand. She had a list of all the places that needed to be cleansed, and she ticked them off one by one as the Guardians fought on.
