BOOK 4: To Sojourn

Andrew and Mary step into the throne room as the rest of the royal knights looked at them, shocked that they were together but bowed to the queen nonetheless.

Lee, one of the four royal knights raised an eyebrow at the captain, before lowering his head as they entered.

Goyo, second in command, tried to smile but failed. Disapproval was on his face at seeing the queen together with the captain.

Andrew escorted the queen to her throne and stood by her side, nodding to his men.

"We will be joining the annual moon festival and will depart from here to the kingdom of Aurora. They were chosen to be the host this year. Have you met the necessary preparations?" the queen asked, her voice strict and business-like.

"Everything has been taken cared of, your highness," Goyo answered curtly.

"I shall be in the carriage, the four of you will be my escorts, surrounding the carriage in your stallions," the queen instructed.
