Every beast men gathered on the ground of the camp looked curiously at Mina. 'What is she doing here?' Many had that curious look in their face as they stared at Mina who was frozen like a fish.
Some of the soldiers recognized her from the fight the day before. "Isn't she the one who wanted to duel with our chief?" One of them whispered. "I know right, she looks like the female from yesterday." Another beast man added.
The soldiers who had been out fighting became interested in this issue and asked, "There was a fight yesterday?? Our chief actually fought with that female?" They looked surprised and doubtful.
"She managed to force him into that berserker state. She is more dangerous than you think?" He exaggerated little bit to sell his story.
"Believe me or not, she even finished the whole pantry by herself. She is a food monster." The next beast man in charge of the canteen and food sighed in distress. All those food was gulped down within an hour. He was still feeling bad about it.
"But this female is quite pretty and her smell is fresh and sweet. Maybe I can make out with her." One of the beast man blushed when he looked at Mina. "Now that you say it, she looks good." Another young teenage wolf added showing his fangs.
[Host they are talking about you.] Since most of warriors were male the system further added.
[Attraction point increased: Your current charisma point is 10.]
Even when the messages popped out, Mina on the other hand was panicking when the crowd suddenly started talking among themselves. She was unaware of how many greedy and lustful eyes were watching her.
"Silence." The domineering and powerful voice of Ray resounded within the area. He looked dark and kind of jealous upon hearing other talking about Mina like that. She was not his female but he didn't want anyone to even think about her, not even fantasize about her.
He felt a little guilty and remorseful for showing such a delicate and rare female in front of those savages. "These savages, their eyes alone can defile this female." Ray cursed them in his heart. He actually forgot he was one of those savages.
The whole crowd quieted down to the point one could hear the wind blowing if they listened carefully.
"I have an important announcement to make but before that we have someone who will share a few things. You guys may not like it, you people might get angry but behave and listen to her till the end." Ray cleared up the stage for her. He looked at her with a slightly encouraging smile that looked amazing on his charming face but Mina didn't have time to think about that.
She mouthed out thank you before turning to the crowd of the beast man. She took a deep breathe and spoke in clear and precise voice that was loud enough for everyone foe everyone to hear.
"This war has to stop. No, we have to stop this war right this moment."
Was this female idiot or did she had a loose screw on her head? Everyone was stupefied by the confident claim of the female who was a total stranger to them. "Are you insane, you bit**??" One of the hot blooded and short tempered wolf shouted at her. Other audiences could relate with him and tried to raise voice against her.
Gaining the support of the crowd he felt more excited and encouraged. Before he could speak out another sentence he was lifted up on the air and thrashed to the ground which looked painful but not to the point of serious injury.
"I think I asked you to stay put and listen to her till the end, didn't I? Or are you saying you will rather disobey me than control your anger?" He eyed them dangerously while his face maintained that neutral expression.
They were furious but it was never at the cost of their life. 'Just listening won't hurt, right?' They calmed themselves convincing themselves the female before them was an ugly old hag sharing story about her past.
Since their mentality and mental power was too strong they could actually hypnotize themselves in believing she was old hag spouting nonsense.. The crowd calmed down but Mina felt that their gaze directed towards her was kind of strange.
Deciding to take the chance Mina decided to keep her speech short and precise so that she could convince the big headed wolfs over there.
"Haven't you ever wondered the war seemed a little too forced and kind of meaningless?"
'How could she call our sacrifice meaningless?' they wanted to shout at her but looking at Ray who was giving them piercing look of 'I am watching you' they decided it was in their favor to endure it. Some of them hated her for speaking nonsense early in the morning.
"It might sound nonsense to you but I am someone who is looking behind this war. You may choose to believe me or not but it is what it is." She continued, "Both of the tribe claim to have been innocent while pointing fingers at the others. Be honest, did anyone of you see any fox tribesman kill your fellow brother?"
"If not them who else would do that, those despicable foxes." A man shouted out. He was the brother of the man who was killed so he couldn't hold it in any longer so decided to speak out even if he was to get punished.
Before Ray could take action against him Mina gestured to him to wait. "But do you have any proof?"
"We don't…"The man blurted out and suddenly went silent before speaking. "But the fact that they were there when the death happened is the evidence."
"No boy, if that's you proof the fox clan has even bigger proof against you." Mina looked at the crowd before speaking, "The flag with the symbol of wolf tribe was found in the room of the female of fox clan who went missing."
The whole crows suddenly gasped. Some became doubtful, while some believed her. The rest were neutral and waited for more information before making decisions. "This war might look like a war of revenge but look at yourself, don't you think you are missing the most important thing?"
Everyone had dumb struck expression on their face trying to think what she was hinting at. "It has been months since it started and all you have become hunters rather than avengers." "You have gave in to your natural instinct to fight and spill blood when you know that even if you win this war it was going to be meaningless with so many sacrifices." Mina brought out their true nature which they were not willing to accept.
This time even Ray had a surprised look on his face because what she was saying was true. In the name of revenge they had actually chosen a bloody path, revenge almost forgotten. All of the beast man had realization of their action which filled their face with guilt and embarrassment. Seeing the crowd was reacting to her words she decided to secure the victory with her last card.
Meanwhile in the Fox camp.
"What are you doing here?" The fox tribe leader who was going through some paper works in her room looked at the shameless man who decided to come uninvited to her chamber.
"Hey, what's your name?" Max decided to get her name before. "No way in hell you are ever getting to know it."
"Ohh, Rubia. That's a nice name." Max gave a response back to her. "How do you know my name?" Rubia looked wearily at the ma since her name was something not many people knew.
"I have my ways. By the way I am Max." He showed her a friendly smile only to be returned with a cold gaze. "I didn't ask, did I?" She didn't even glance at him.
"So why are you here??answer this question first." She looked at the man. "It better not be funny otherwise you will regret showing up here today."
"I am here to ask you to end this war forever."
Rubia stopped whatever she was doing. He thought she might disagree but her words stunned him. "Ohhh.." She continued her works.
"Wait just ohh, ask me something or disagree with me or agree with me. What is with this ohhh?" Max looked at the calm woman.
Who said only men looked cool while working, even woman looked charming while immersed in their work.
Max swiftly swatted away unnecessary thought.
"This war, I want to end it. Trust me I wanted to end this months ago but its about our pride and we can't just let it go now can we?" Rubia looked a little lost as she said this.
"Rubia, let me help you." Max leaned forward his face only some meters away from her. "You look a little too tiered." For some reason his heart pained looking at her.
"What can you, a single person do to help me?" Rubia felt it was funny to be offered a help when she was the most powerful beast woman in the tribe. She was not a weakling and she hated how close he was. There were butterflies in her stomach that made her feel sick.
"Trust me I know more than you could ever imagine." Max looked seriously at her eyes hoping to show sincerity. He wanted to now complete this mission more than ever. Part of the reason was the woman in front of him who acted tough with all the burden on her.
