Who is he?

It can't be she thought as she quickly thought over all her research on him. He didn't have any trace in the underworld.

She looked at him in doubt while he looked as serious as he was before.

"That's not possible," she said, looking at him as a small doubt crept into her.

"He won't be in such a formidable position as he is if he was traced so easily," he said, getting up, setting his coat.

Her research never went wrong and though she knew he was something special by his aura she wasn't sure as she was now.

"He won't help me. And i... I don't wanna break their hearts by telling them that the real Xiulin died. I can never forgive myself"

Mu Shen sighed, understanding her dilemma, but thought he could get her closer. He would never be able to help her as Jun Zixuan can.

"Okay, I'll help you get near him, but the chances of you catching him is rather unlikely given that your brother is on the run right now," he said sighing looking at her. This was the least he could do for her.

"Thank you so much for helping me," she said as a small smile graced her face.

She bid him goodbye and left for the Jun ancestral home again. A small part of her heart knew she might never return to this place again. Even if she doesn't get to meet her brother. She will stay there and search for him if she has to.

She can't sit here enjoying her life while her brother is right there waiting for her. But a small part of her wanted to just stay here and enjoy life like a normal person without any worries, but that was also the part she was willing to bury if she gets to stay with her brother.

She was surprised when she saw everyone sitting and waiting for her when she entered inside. Like they knew this was gonna be their last time seeing her.

"Xiu darling, where have you been? Shu shu go get ready. It's time for you to leave," Yang Shi said.

She smiled and nodded while heading upstairs. She turned, to look at the Jun Family again, the family, which she was allowed to call her own for the past year. The family she was betraying now.

She felt her heart squeeze when she heard the word family. Does she deserve a family? she couldn't help but ask herself that.

She wiped the tears which unknowingly came out as she headed to her room. She caressed her bed and took the 4 photo frames beside her lamp and kept them inside her bag.

The big photo had 7 people, including her. They called it a family portrait when she asked them if it was necessary. The smaller one had two young girls and three other boys her age in their school uniforms. And the medium one was a picture of her, Zixuan, and Bohai.

And another one just her and Bohai.

She hugged her bag as she let herself cry one last time before she left this place. She took a paper and wrote a letter to everyone in the family and kept it near the lamp so that they can find it when she leaves.

She descended the stairs while looking at the happy, warm faces she might not see again.

She smiles back at them and hugs everyone one last time.

Grandpa Jun was shocked when he felt his shoulder wet. When he looked at how red her eyes were his heart couldn't help but squeeze.

He wiped her cheeks and smiled warmly at her.

"Little Linlin, why are you crying? This is just a small trip. You will be back to grandpa before you know it," he said with a calm smile.

Everyone smiled sadly and nodded.

"Why does this feel like a goodbye?"Jun Bohai spoke out loud, making everyone's head turn towards him. He wished he could disappear at that very moment.

"Don't jinx it" his mom said with a glare while his dad hit the back of his head.

He tried setting his hair again looking at how everyone supported her more in disbelief. Jun Zixuan stood in the background seeing everything taking place. And he had to say he had a feeling that this trip is going to change his life forever.
