Chapter 86 - Blood Shadows

“We have to convince the rogue vampires to get out of town,” Deana said as she walked down the street toward Hell’s Brew. She still felt the heat between her legs at the way things ended back at Miles’s house, felt the giddiness in her chest that they had finally crossed the line they had both been dancing along for quite some time. It felt good to have taken that step.

“Easier said than done, I’m afraid,” Miles replied. “If they no longer listen to Ralph, who created them, then they’re fairly far gone. Usually, the younger vamps respect their sire enough to follow his wishes. At least, for the most part. I don’t think this group knows the meaning of the word respect. They’re purists, and that tends to drown out all rational thought for change.”
