Chapter 27: Argument (Day 1)

Aqua walked out of the Conference and managed to calm down after tearing up for her mistakes. She rubbed her still swollen eyes and cleaned her face in the toilet to look befitting of a royal maid. Just as she was going to turn around and leave, she saw Moona standing behind her from the reflection of the mirror.

"Kak Moona!" [Aqua] (Kak= sister in indonesia)

Aqua ran towards her and hugged her tightly. The tears started flowing again once Aqua thought about the current situation she's in. Moona caresses her onion head and waits until she finishes crying.

"Are you done?" [Moona]

"Yesh *Sniffle* " [Aqua]

Aqua blows her nose and replied in a pitiful manner.

"You've done all you could, it's time to go back." [Moona]

"NO! I haven't done anything! My lord is still out there, I can't turn my back on her." [Aqua]

"Do you need to be reminded who you really serve?" [Moona]

Aqua went silent but still carries a defiant look.

"The one i serve is Princess Luna, I will never submit myself to some mischievous prankster!"[Aqua]

"Hold your tongue, you may insult me but not to her." [Moona]

Moona shot a dangerous looking gleam that caused Aqua's willpower to weaken slightly.

"P...PPri..Princess Luna is the wisest and most elegant woman I ever knew and she's the one I vowed my eternal servitude to."

Moona calmed down and sighed

"You found yourself a good lord, this is supposed to be a trial for you with the identity we made for you but to see yourself this devoted to her makes me feel conflicted. This isn't supposed to happen, you need to go back and leave everything here to me."[Moona]

"I can't do that! Not when Anemori is still out there, I need to stay here and wait for her to come back just as any attendant would.."[Aqua]

Moona's forehead creases. She had a slight pause and continued talking.

"Fine. You can continue to serve her."[Moona]

"That's the case as long as she survives this."[Moona]

Aqua face brightens when she heard Moona loud and clear

"Thank you sis!! I need to start making preparations for her to come back then, see you later."

"WAIT !!!" [Moona]

Just as Aqua almost dashed out of the room Moona called out to her.

"When things gets tough for you, you can always return home okay?" [Moona]

Aqua's googly eyes started tearing again but she held them up and bid farewell to Moona. Moona stayed in the toilet to clean up her clothes that were stained by Aqua's tears and snot earlier.

"Dumb niece, how am I supposed to report to Shachou now?" [Moona]

Moona took in a deep breath and held out her wrist. A miniature Pekora stood on her wrist but it was merely the image of her from the waist up.

"So, how was your niece Moona? "[Pekora]

"She... turned us down Shachou...." [Moona]

"As expected, I knew it would have happened so it's not your fault peko." [Pekora]

"Really?" [Moona]

"We needed a spy to know what that genius is up to, it wouldn't be hard for her to turn our piece against us peko." [Pekora]

"To be able to predict things this far ahead, SASUGA SHACHOU!! So what's our next move?"[Moona]

"Ehhh.....ermm, I don't know peko. But the Candy Kingdom or Elves, this continent is still going down so it wouldn't matter to us anyway peko. So you can just return after all lousy matters have been addressed. "[Pekora]

"Understood Shachou." [Moona]

Moona ended the transmission and let off a deep breath, now that everything has resolved itself.

"Too bad she's probably not going to make it out alive." [Moona]

She now only looks forward to bringing Aqua back with her after all is over.
