Chapter 9
When Harry descended into Common Rooms he already saw several Ravenclaws talking among themselves.
His eyes scanned them and he saw the girl which he talked with yesterday among them.
She was talking with a girl with red nearly orange coloured curly hair.
'I think she is Marietta… don't remember much from the Pink toad era, but she has family members who work for government…'
Harry hummed internally, he doesn't have that much interest in certain characters, at least not to the point that he will access his memories to check out on a single individual which he has no interest in…
"Good Morning Harry!" Cho quickly strolled over to his side.
"Let's go to the Great Hall I will show you the way!" The raven-haired girl offered.
"Morning Cho, sure thing, it's better than just waiting here." He shrugged, and Cho quickly nodded at him.
The girl then quickly went over to the Prefect and told him that she is taking Harry to Great Hall.
Funny enough the Prefect was slightly jealous that Harry is receiving that much attention from a girl, but he relented and allowed Cho to show him the way to Great Hall.
Only the one who was most annoyed by this was Marietta, the girl was getting more and more pissed that her friend is getting so into the boy…
~~~
After showing the quickest way to Great Hall, Harry got himself comfortable at the Ravenclaw table, he started putting food on his table.
He was quite satisfied with this kind of buffet breakfast, if only it was more diverse!
Few minutes later Head of House Professor Flitwick handed out everyone their schedules.
Harry slightly grimaced seeing his, so much time wasted on pointless things…
"What's your first period?" Cho curiously asked him.
"Double Charms with Hufflepuff, followed by Transfiguration with them again." He said with a bored voice, he was utterly uninterested in magic used by sticks.
"I got double Defense against Dark Arts with Griffs, then…. potions with Slytherin…" The girl said that with slight trepidation.
'I guess Snape has that effect on people, why he is still teaching after so many years around is still beyond me, don't people complain?' Harry frowned internally.
it's one thing reading about a place and another to be in one…
If the guy will show himself being very biased then Harry will ruin him, he may look like eleven year old but he has enough power to 'shake up the place.
For now, he will just wait and watch his first Potion Class, which is at end of the week, what a nice way to make one's weekend amazing!
Anyway, his first-class awaits! No matter how boring he finds it to be!
~~~
Finding Charms classrooms was not too difficult, all he needed is to ask his new friend.
Turns out he was one of the first to arrive at the classroom, since he was with Hufflepuff's these two periods there, not many of them he knows off…
Not that he is interested in them, Harry finds them… too passive? To his tastes.
And thanks to his indifferent look no one approached him the whole time before the class has started.
Since it's one of those Magic Stick type of classes he has prepared a stick just in case, after all, he is not ready to reveal his absurd power in wandless magic.
So, he prepared a Mythril stick coated in brown paint just for this.
Still, his alone time got interrupted by a fellow Ravenclaw who decided to sit with him.
"Hey Harry, I am going to sit with you these two periods!" The girl with smart looking glasses said to him with a borderline smug voice.
Why she was smug he had no idea…
"Whatever you say, Lisa." Harry shrugged at her.
This made her pout for a second at him, did she expected some sort of different reaction from him?
After their short conversation, the class has started with Professor arriving at the class.
What happened next was name roll for attendance, when his name was mentioned the Professor was extra giddy, which was quite amusing sight as Professor was half-goblin…
Meaning his size was small and he was standing on books to make himself look bigger.
Shouldn't he get something like a pedestal for himself?
After that, the class started and the Professor started explaining about charms, Harry felt extremely out of place, because the charms as the subject don't suit his needs and in general is not needed for what he is doing.
As weird as it sounds first was theory, something which feels weird to him, as magic is supernatural in general, a force of nature, how you put the concept of theory into that?
In end he listening to Professor's explanation, the man was able to answer some of his questions…
For example, the man explained how he understands magic and explains how to access it according to his way.
Stick magic is just as the name implies, it's stick magic, and it achieved a very versatile level of use, to point that magic society evolved into almost a replica of mundane human society.
All based on a single thing, the stick, it's like human society heavily based on iron or electricity, everything runs on that.
While what Harry did is quite different he is creating his way, separated from Stick magic influence.
The class culminated in learning Lumos spell, which Harry did on his first try which earned him five points for Ravenclaws, another five for casting it silently and without specific hand motion.
In total, he got ten points which made House of Ravenclaw start leading the race for the House Cup.
After Charm class it was Transfiguration class which was another stick magic branch that turns one thing into another, as always, Professor told that there are 'rules' which one has to follow.
What Harry saw in this is that these rules are only should be followed until one is powerful enough to change into whatever one is powerful enough, he can already do that with his perfect shapeshifting ability.
He wonders how long until everyone learns about his ability?
This class was the same as Charm class, he did everything on his first try and for that, he got another ten points…
After Transfiguration was dinner, after dinner there was another class which was herbology.
A first proper class which somewhat interested him, Herbology leads to potions which lead to Alchemy, so it had his attention to a certain degree…
~~~~~~After School Hours~~~~~~
Harry finally was free for the day he can finally focus on important things, like finding a place for his workshop.
For this, he did some quick research where Blacksmithing classes used to be, once he got some hints he went to look for them once he put on his utility belt which turned him invisible.
Since he knows that portraits are used as spies and he doesn't want Dumbledore skulking around his workshop.
So, he turned invisible and started walking through the corridors of the fourth floor.
He checked many abandoned classrooms, some of them felt ancient, Harry wondered just how did Hogwarts looked at its peak, if the place had so many classrooms, it should have been thousands of students.
Eventually, he found a classroom that had a side room that housed an old blacksmith forge.
If he can guess it should be couple hundred years old.
'This should do it, there is enough space for some experiment.'
After a short inspection, he started laying down concealment arrays on the doors, he made sure he laid them when no one was around, it was a good thing this part of school is rarely visited, most if not all classrooms are not in use on this side of the school.
A perfect place to set his camp, while he doubts he can make any big stuff here, since a mistake can lead to explosion, unlike his junkyard he can't easily brainwash people here.
And there that idiot Merlin wannabe who will start asking question to which he has no time to answer.
Even so, he has no plans for big things, his suit is long term plan, for now, he will work with things he knows.
So, he put concealment he started working on reinforcing the walls, and at the same time putting cleaning arrays…
Soon enough the classroom was sparkling clean while the dust has been transmuted into iron sand.
After that, he started sorting whatever trash was in the classroom, all the broken stuff was been recycled into usable stuff for later, while still usable furniture has been restored and transfigured in things he needs…
Like bookshelves and couches for sitting, he even got a carpet to feel more… homely?
Once he was finished with setting up he checked the time, he found out that it was close to curfew.
'For today I should return and make preparations for All-nighters.' Harry hummed as he was thinking about how to make a set up for that.
~~~
The next day he returned there after classes, he started working on the workshop room, which was the blacksmithing room before.
While he won't going to need the forge, since the metal he is working with is Mythril mostly, and even then his transmutation is powerful enough to control metals anyway he wants.
Instead, he focused on the table and the tools left behind, he is going to remould them into what he needs while the forge is going to be changed into a transmutation array.
By end of the day, he had finished with his set up.
Now he only needs a set up for his dormitory room and he would be ready to work.
When night time came, Harry left his room and started tinkering on his doors, he makes sure to add some recorded audio on it, as once the prefect says specific words the arrays will react and the recording will activate.
He added more variations to this all well, but the hardest part was to make the whole array invisible while making the door look normal as possible.
Thankfully he was done before prefects wake up…
Now he was ready…
~~~
After Wednesday classes were done, Harry went to his workshop, he already noticed that paintings are paying more attention to him.
He has that feeling that Dumbledore will call him for a meeting, he knows that the old coat is under a load of pressure and he can't casually call him to a meeting.
The only way he could is to mix school-related things and then ask his 'important' questions.
So, he has maybe a couple more weeks before Dumbledore will invite to talk about it.
For now, he decided to forget about this boring stuff and focus on fixing the magic issue…
At first, Harry started tinkering with runic arrays which he knows has capacities to negate things.
From there he will work up to the point that he will be able to negate magic as a whole.
Magic negating other magic? That's quite literally, anime stuff.
Even if he increased the time he has, morning came quite quickly when one is having a blast of time.
So, Around six a clock in the morning Harry went back to his dorms to get a shower and change of clothes.
It was Thursday, one day away from the weekend where he would be able to work some good time.
It turns out that the school is getting more of an annoyance than he was anticipated…
Once he was done with his morning rituals he descended to the common room.
He instantly noticed that his girl-friend was waiting for him.
"Morning Harry!" Cho greeted him with a smile.
"Mornin'." He greeted her back casually.
"So, I was wondering where you go after the classes are over? I couldn't find you neither in the library or common room?" She curiously asked, there is nowhere else to go at least in her mind, as Harry is still new here.
"Oh, that I got set up my workshop, in the fourth floor." He casually explained, he doubts she will tell to teacher, seeing how she looks at him.
That could not be said about her best friend through, it's a good thing that Cho is focusing on him now, and not her, since she was anywhere near them when he said that.
