Chapter twenty five:

Empress Rey Palpatine smuggled into the covers of her bed, and never had she felt such luxuries before. Rey was treated terribly on Jakku. The Resistance was better, but this...

Empress Rey Palpatine closed her eyes. Sleep enveloped her. She's had a very long day.

Rey's eyes fluttered open. She was in the sands of Jakku, still wearing her Sith robe. Palpatine was silent in her head for once.

A blue glow scratched at the horizon. Force ghost's, Empress Rey Palpatine thought. She could make out the faces of Anakin Skywalker, Ben Solo, Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Mace Windu, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Grand Master Yoda. The Jedi order was watching her.

Empress Rey Palpatine turned around and started walking. She didn't know where she was. And she didn't know how to get away from them. Surely they were disappointed in her.

Rey. Cale's voice cut in.

I... yes. Cale's voice sounded defeated.

Empress Rey Palpatine sniffled. Pride swelled in her chest. Still no Palpatine. She thought he'd never leave.

Unlike these idiots.

Empress Rey Palpatine broke into a jog. Running as fast as she could. She could hear Cale, running a bit behind her. Rey wait-. Cale said.

But Rey didn't hear him anymore.

Rey then shot up awake, panting hard.
