CHAPTER 17

Zion smiled when he saw my reaction.

"Arien, your cheeks have become red. Are you okay?" He asked me. I nodded and took the water to drink to calm my heartbeat. And I accidentally choked on the water. Zion hurried over to me to rub my back.

"Are you all right, Arien?" I slapped Zion's hand. Because as he stroked my back, my heartbeat quickened even more.

My reaction surprised Zion. "My apologies, Arien. I accidentally touched you. I was just worried about you." And Zion returned to his seat.

"It's OK Zion. I also don't mean to strike your hand, I'm sorry. Did I hit your broken hand?" I asked him. And Zion shook his head.

When the food we ordered arrived, I devoured it.

"Take it easy on the food, Arien, you might choke again." Zion reminded me. But I didn't listen to him because I wanted to finish my meal right away and get back to university right away. Because as I face him, my heart never stops beating.

I suddenly thought of what the doctor had told me about how I felt for Zion.

"I'm sure I have feelings for Zion now. But I can't continue this because I still have goals that must be prioritized and so that I don't get involved in the trouble of the women who admire Zion." I said to myself as I stared at Zion.

Zion tilted his head while looking at me. I lowered my head and quietly continued eating the food.

As Zion looked at me, I asked him if he would not eat. He shook his head, and he said to me that all the food we ordered was for me. I couldn't eat well because of his stares at me. Suddenly, Zion brought his hand near me to smear the scattered food on my cheek. I choked and coughed because he ate the crumb from my cheek. I am ashamed of Zion for what has happened. He smirked at me.

"Stop teasing me Zion." I told him. He laughed out loud.

"Hahaha! I'm sorry, I'm not teasing you, Arien. Your reaction is funny."

"Do you find me like a clown?" I asked him as I frowned.

"No, I didn't mean that. You're just cute with your reactions every time I touch you."

"Yeah! Find another playmate, Zion, don't tease me."

"I'm sorry, Arien, it won't happen again, I promise." I forgave him.

After I ate, we went back to the university immediately. When I got off the scooter, I bumped into someone. Turning to see who I bumped into, it turned out to be Dave.

"Where did you two go?" Dave asked me.

"We just ate Dave." I responded to him.

Dave pinched my nose and said, "I thought you were going to escape from your class."

"No, I still have twenty minutes before my class starts." I smiled at Dave.

While Dave and I were talking, Zion was just staring at us. Zion felt agitated as he saw a different smile I was showing to Dave compared to him.

Zion frowned, and it annoyed him when he watched us. He turned away and did not say goodbye to us.

Because I was busy talking to Dave, I didn't realize that Zion had left suddenly.

"Where is Zion now?" I asked myself.

"I can't even thank him for treating me with food. Well, I'll thank him later when we see each other again." I whispered to myself. Dave escorted me to my classroom. After Dave left, Zion suddenly appeared in front of me. It surprised me to see him furious.

"Zion, thank you for the food earlier. I couldn't thank you right away because you left suddenly." I told him.

"Yeah! Because you were busy dealing with Dave, so you didn't realize I had left." He angrily delivered his words.

"Are you angry at me, Zion?"

"Why should I be angry? What right do I have to be angry with you?" I tilted my head, and I felt so confused about why Zion was mad at me.

"You look furious. Why are you angry, anyway?"

"I said, I am not angry!" He didn't tell me the reason what made him mad.

I signed it to him and said, "Whatever!"

And I turned my back on him to go back to my seat. As I sat in my chair, I suddenly thought. "Why are we fighting, anyway? He never told me the reason why he got mad." I mumbled to myself.

I felt terrible knowing that Zion was angry. I felt a pain in my chest. It feels like they pierced it with a pin. I touched my chest and rubbed it.

Meanwhile, Zion was still outside of Arien's classroom. He watches Arien's back. He felt terrible as well. And he regretted why he talked that way to Arien. He felt his heart break into pieces. He rubbed his chest as well. Zion wanted to call Arien to apologize for his behavior towards her. But he was hesitant to call because he thought Arien was mad at him. He kept on looking at Arien's back.

All the students were watching and murmuring to Zion. It intrigued them by who Zion might have been looking at constantly.

Because Zion couldn't bear to just stare at my back and not apologize. He suddenly entered my classroom and sat behind me.

While I am also confused, wondering why Zion is angry. I laid my head on my desk and sighed.

Zion was about to poke my back. But when Zion saw me sighing, he halted.

But Zion thought that if he didn't poke me or call me, we couldn't settle our misunderstanding. So, he poked me and called me.

"Arien, I am very sorry about what happened earlier. I didn't mean to be rude to you." Zion wondered why I didn't answer him. Zion changed into his seat beside me. He stroked my hair that covered my face and saw me sleeping. He giggled and mumbled to himself. "She is really easy to fall asleep." Zion smiled, and he kept on watching me.

All the students inside the classroom were watching Zion. It shocked them that Zion smiled sweetly towards Arien. They couldn't believe that the number one hunk on the campus was smiling genuinely at the most ugly woman on the campus.

Zion didn't notice that all the students' eyes were very focused on watching him with Arien.

Zion left Arien's classroom and left a note for her to ask if they could meet later by the lake after her class.

Zion exited excitedly from the classroom and was looking forward to meeting Arien later.
