Chapter 30 The Queen’s Wrath

Helios stormed back to the castle frustrated and angry. He was frustrated that he had no choice but to have Silas become his queen's lover, angry that he wasn't allowed to be with her instead of him, and upset that his queen probably hated him by now. Even her thoughts refused to reveal themselves to him when he carried her back from the bathhouse not revealing what her first experience was like. She sat in his arms like a rock refusing to even look at him. She was definitely mad at him. She must have not wanted to talk to him today and instead wanted to hang out with Eleanor so she didn't have to face him.

Reaching the castle he stormed through the doors and sped past Ihloi and ran up the grand staircase to his chambers. Pacing back and forth he stopped and shoved all the papers on his desk to the floor in frustration, then with all his might he swung his fist and punched half the stone wall of the room out causing a lot of commotion through the castle. Finally releasing the built up anger he had locked inside he sat down in his desk chair leaning back pinching the bridge of his nose, eyes closed with exhaustion. He heard a faint knock at the door as Ihloi stepped inside. "Is everything ok Sire? He stared at the whole in the wall and the papers strewn about the floor.

He walked over to the mess and began to pick up the papers stacking them neatly back on the Kings desk. Sigh in in frustration Helios replied with pain in his voice, "I think she hates me. I forced her to accept Silas as her lover and now her thoughts have become silent. She refused to talk with me today and even stayed out with Eleanor. She doesn't want to be around me." He shook his head before placing his chin on his bawled up fists muttering to himself. Ihloi chuckled as he watched his King seethe with jealousy. "I'm pretty sure she doesn't hate you. She might be upset in the present moment but she will soon understand that you did it in her best interest. Who knows she might even learn to like Silas."

Helios growled at his comment. Upset with the idea of his Queen falling in love with another male. Her heart belonged to him and him only. His most trusted advisor turned and cast a spell to repair the damaged wall, the stones flew off the floor and returned to their rightful place stacked neatly with the rest of the wall. "Would you like something to eat? I can have the kitchen send something up for you? "No thank you I'm not hungry. I'll eat later when my Queen returns. Ihloi shook his head before he turned and walked out of his chamber. He sighed as he sat back in his chair still seething with anger. He picked up a stack of papers on his desk and tried to focus on his work to try to distract his mind from his Queen.

A few hours later when he had gotten three stacks deep into the stacks of paper on his desk there was a burst of red flame as an invoice landed on his desk. He picked out the paper smiling. His queen must have finally figured out how females purchase items in Kosea, his smile froze midway when he read what the invoice was for, InterStellar Star Racer Rental. He stood up knocking his chair over in a hurry crumpling the invoice in his hand. He summoned Arthur and Eleanor as he flew out of his chambers in search for his queen. Please don't let anything happen to her!

Helios arrived at the vendors who had sent him the invoice as Arthur and Eleanor came around the corner out of breath, baring down on the vendor grabbing his robes he screamed, "where is my queen!!! How long ago did they take off from here?" Stuttering the vendor pointed to his right, "they left about ten minutes ago in that direction. Is everything alright? Did something happen to the Queen?" The vendor looked worried, he was afraid that he would lose his head if anything happened to the queen. Releasing the vendor Helios took off in the direction he pointed.

Flying at full speed he was able to quickly catch up to the Star Racers, spotting them in the distance he flew faster, but just before he could catch them they had hit the throttle and exited the atmosphere. Helios cursed under his breath as he quickly cast a spell over his queen. She was a human and would not be able to breath outside their atmosphere! Once outside the atmosphere there was no way of catching up to them. The Star Racers were designed for speed. No one was able to outfly them. He hoped his spell was able to reach his queen in time to protect her. All he could do now was wait for them to return. He flew back to the vendors cursing the whole way.

An hour later Helios heard the humming of the Racers before he was able to see them. They landed and he saw his queen was riding with Silas. She looked so happy her eyes shimmering with exhilaration, her cheeks glowed a rosy pink color. This was the first time he saw his queen look so happy all her cares were gone. He watched as Silas helped her off the Racer, what he wasn't prepared for was when he leaned in and kissed his queen. His anger from earlier today boiled over, his fists clenched, of course it was her lover who would be held responsible, as he let out a growl, "step away from her now!"

I stopped in my tracks still clutching the star in my pocket when I heard Helios growl. I was afraid, was he angry at me for renting the racer? Horror dawned on my face, or perhaps did he see Silas kissing me and that I was enjoying it?! I trembled as Helios ran up to me pulling me away from Silas. I was confused when I saw that Arthur and Eleanor was there as well holding those long stick weapons that Helios had smashed not to long ago. What was happening, were we in trouble? "Are you ok? Nothing happened to you did it?" Helios listened to my chest to make sure that my heart was still ok. It seemed to be pumping just fine. He sighed in relief as he hugged me close.

"Don't ever scare me like that again, my heart almost exploded when I received that invoice." Dang it he was mad about the fun we had. My face fell saddened that he was upset about my adventure. I clutched the star forcing it deeper into my pocket. Now would probably be a bad time to show him. "What's going on? Why are you all here," Lucas spoke up anxiously worried they had committed a crime. All the adults glared at my friends angry with their little adventure. I looked from Arthur to Eleanor and back to Helios. "What happened, I asked cautiously. "I don't know what's wrong."

"These three are in serious trouble especially Silas being the highest rank present he glared specifically at Silas. If I had not cast a spell in time before you had exited the atmosphere all of the oxygen would have been sucked out of your lungs and they would have caved in your entire body would have been crushed. You would have died almost instantly. My friends stared at each in horror as they realized what they had done. Their queen was a human, they had completely forgotten this simple little mistake that could have costed her, her life! They dropped to their knees sincerely ready to receive their punishment. They almost killed their Queen.

Arthur held up his lighting rod toward my friends his hands shaking hesitating on killing his own children and their friend. When I realized what was about to happen I struggled to get out of Helios's arms. Jumping down I jumped in between Arthur and my friends shielding them from the weapon. "Stop don't harm them! It wasn't their fault. This trip was my idea. "My queen please step out of the way. This must be done. They almost got you killed. As your protectors they almost broke their oath in keeping you safe. You almost died under their watch. Their punishment is death," he stuttered his voice shaking when he said this.

I looked back toward my friends as their faces cleared ready to accept their punishment. Helios came over and grabbed my arm trying to pull me out of the way. Anger welled up inside of me, there was no way in hell my fiends were going to die because of my idea to have some fun. My body heated up as an electric current coursed through my veins, I began to levitate as a blinding light surged out covering me like a halo. My hair turned a deep blue color and my eyes glowed silver, in a guttural voice I screamed, "no one is killing anyone. I will protect my friends even if it costs me my life. No one is going to die because of me. It was my fault!" A moment later the glowing stopped as I collapsed in a heap on the ground.

Helios could feel his queen draining his magic in order to protect her friends. Everyone stared in shock as their queens anger burst forth, she was definitely using magic energy. Her appearance had completely changed her hair turning blue and her eyes glowing silver. Water completely surrounded her. She didn't look like a human, but she didn't have any resemblance to anyone in Kosea either. But just as fast as it came, the magic she was using disappeared as she collapsed to the ground again. Helios ran over and picked her up in his arms. "Please don't kill my friends. I am the one to blame. I don't want them to die because of me. They are my first friends I would cry if they were to die," she whispered weakly her head falling back on the Kings chest her eyes closing having been drained of all her energy.

Silas Lucas and Sophie stared at each other still shocked that their Queen had somehow used magic to protect them. How was a mere human able to use magic? Her love and protection for them has exceeded anything they have ever witnessed in Kosea. If it was any other female they would have died immediately knowing that they had put that female in danger. Any other female would have thrown them to the wolves and had them killed. But their queen was different. She took the blame and showed her wrath when they were to be executed. Their queen has shown the three kneeling on the ground her mercy.

"The King smiled down at his queen who had the most purest heart he had ever seen. She would have sacrifice herself in order to protect her friends even if they almost had her killed. Her heart was so beautiful inside and out. "well you heard my queen no one is to die today. But all three of you will still receive a punishment. You will be training non stop for the next two weeks. You will be given extra lessons on human studies so that you don't make a simple little mistake like this again. Like you were told before one little slip up can cost my queen her life. She is fragile and too delicate to be making a mistake. Do not let it happen again."

"Yes your highness," all three shouted in unison as they took their arm and crossed it over their chest bowing humbly toward their queen who had showed them her mercy. My eyes still closed I mumbled into Helios chest, "don't go easy on them," I muttered. There was a silent pause before everyone burst out laughing their queen was absolutely adorable when she was cross. A moment later they heard the queens stomach growl signaling that she was hungry again after using up all her energy in order to protect them. Eleanor chuckled as she said,"I will whip and especially tasty dinner for you my queen. Thank you for showing mercy on my children and their friend. Name anything you would like to eat and I will have it made. Your wish is my command my queen."

I thought about it for a minute before I settled on having a huge helping of beef stew with extra beef. I needed the protein to replenish my energy. "If it's not too much to ask could you make me a helping as well? I would like to eat dinner with my queen tonight." Eleanor chuckled again shaking her head yes," before she flew off to prepare our dinner. "Lets go you three, your punishment starts now. You heard the queen, I am not to go easy on you," Arthur thundered down to my friends. "Yes sir," they responded as they followed him to the training course. I felt really bad for them. A two week punishment seemed a little harsh even for me. I hope they wouldn't hate me after their punishment was over.

"Let us return to the castle," Helios said as he clutched me tightly in his arms glad that I was safe from harms way. I shook my head still giving him the silent treatment. I wasn't happy about the rules of Kosea. If I was going to be queen that rule has got to go. I've seen enough death to last an entire lifetime. I couldn't bare to see someone else die. I shuttered at the thought. Helios walked with a brisk pace looking straight ahead. I felt awkward in his arms. The silence was going to kill me but I had to stay strong and show him that I wasn't happy so I remained quiet all the way back to the castle.

Helios carried me to his chambers and laid me down on the bed. He removed helped remove the robe I was wearing, before he took it away I quickly reached into the pocket pulling out the star I had caught. Not letting Helios see what was in my hand I hid it under the pillow. I looked toward my diary and before I could ask if he could get it Helios grabbed it and handed it to me before he went and sat at his desk. I wrote in my diary as I waited for Eleanor to bring out dinner. I wanted to record today before I forgot about it. I wrote down all the good and the bad things that happened today not wanting to forget a single detail.

A little while later Eleanor knocked on the door holding a tray with two giant bowls of beef stew. She sat it down in front of Helios and smiling she walked out closing the door behind her. He brought the stew over to his queen, sitting down beside me he picked up one of the spoons and scooped some onto it. He blew on it to cool it down before he held it up to my lips wanting to help me eat. I grumbled as I took a bite. I wasn't that helpless. I could feed myself I thought. But Helios wouldn't budge he held tight to the spoon refusing to let me hold it. I quickly gave up knowing that it was a lost cause and reserved myself to eat from his hand.

When we were finished eating Eleanor came back to take the dishes away. When she was gone Helios came over and sat down beside me. He fiddled with my curls as I continued writing in my diary ignoring him. A little while later I yawned stretching. I was finally ready for bed. Helios took the diary from me and placed it on his desk before returning to the bed. He laid down beside me and pulled me into his arms. His arms felt cold and stiff as he held me. I turned away from him as I fell into a state of half sleep. Half way through the night, I awoke staring into the dark. My heart ached, I couldn't stand being mad at Helios any longer. I turned in his arms as I crawled up and gently kissed his lips.

Letting my anger cave I whispered in the dark against his lips, "I'm sorry for being mad at you. Please will you forgive me? I miss you," I said as I got a sudden urge to want to mate with him. I felt Helios's lips curling into a smile against my lips, his fingers weaved their way through my hair as he pulled my face closer and the warmth of his love had returned completely forgotten as he kissed me fervently. His hands wrapped around my waist as he pulled me onto his chest. His finger trailed down my spine as I shivered under his touch. "I forgive you. I also want to apologize for this morning. I shouldn't have forced you to accept Silas. It pains me every time I see you kissing him. My lips froze against his when he said this.

So he did see me kiss Silas earlier dang it. My face heated up as I tried to pull away from him embarrassed. His fingers that where still entwined in my hair held my head in place not letting me move away from his lips. "You can have feelings with anyone you want to. I won't stop you. Just promise me you won't kiss him in front of me. It pains me to see you with him." "I promise I whispered still embarrassed." Helios pulled me back to his lips crushing them against mine, his hands massaging my body. He pulled the blanket over us as he entered me, pulling my waist down on his hips. I laid on his chest as we mated our love growing stronger with each passing minute our lips locked together feverishly.

The guards around the castle were shocked that yet again their King was mating with the Queen. They all gathered to stand guard all night as they tried their hardest to tune out the queens moans of ecstasy coming from the Kings chamber but failing miserably as each males urges surged through their bodies wanting to bust down the doors to the Kings chamber and mate with the Queen themselves.
