How's Their Holiday Going (14 January)

~They are special to each other~

It was nine in the morning and Vict just arrived at Eve's apartment unit. He didn't need to press the bell, he could enter the pin himself. Because aside from Eve, he was the only one who knew her pin. That was his birthday.

Sometimes, she was so simple. Commonly people used their birthday as a pin, a special date, or just some random number that was easy to remember. Eve chose a special date: Victor's birthday as her pin; he was special for her.

Eve's apartment didn't look that big. It was because there was a gigantic room in her apartment. If you walked forward from the door, you would find a kitchen and living room at the left, and storage at the right. In the end of the unit was the giant room, Eve's study room.

Her study room was a perfect place to study. The whole floor was covered with matt, so you could sit or rest on it while studying. On the left side, there was a big bookshelf where she put her books and papers. On the right side, there was a shelf where she stored her electronics. The other place was a free place for them to study comfortably.

Vict took a few steps to the study room and opened the door. "Wow? What are you doing?" He asked in surprise.

Eve was sitting on the matt with a small table in front of her. On the table, there was her laptop and several cables, while beside the table several electronic components were spreaded. Her eyes were focused on the screen and sometimes looking at the components as she connected each of them. Her face was so clouded.

"Huft… I'm trying to build this project, but it's so hard," Eve answered with her eyes and mind still focusing on the electronics.

Vict smiled, then he walked and sat next to Eve. He made sure he wouldn't disturb her components. "Your work looked so complicated. I hope you can make it, good luck."

"Yeah yeah, I hope so." Eve still focused.

Both of them were now doing their work. Eve focused on her project and Vict focused on the journal he was reading and took a note. That was a normal view as they used to study together like that.

Only music that filled the silence and sometimes, Evelyne groaned. She was troubled with the errors that popped up on her laptop's screen. Shen the error didn't pop up, her components didn't work as she wanted.

"Oh, come on!"

Watching Evelyne troubled like that, Victor was in a dilemma. On one hand, he wanted to help her, but on the other one, he didn't even understand what she was doing. But one thing he knew for sure: up to now, Evelyne never failed in what she did even if it took a long time.

After three hours passed, finally a smile appeared on Eve's face. "I made it!" She shouted, making Vict who was writing his note shocked. "Finally, I made it!!!" Eve raised both of her hands and laughed; her laughing somehow sounded like crying.

"You finished your project?" Vict turned his head and examined what Eve was doing.

Eve, who was still checking on how her electronic circuit worked, shook her head. "Nah. It's not finished yet. But at least the hardest part is done." Her smile got wider as she confirmed that her work was done perfectly.

Looking at her smiled, Vict smiled as well. "That's good to hear. So, what are you planning now?" He felt the joy when his special person was happy, and troubled if something happened to that person. And that person was… Eve.

"I want to rest for now. It's midday already anyway. Let me prepare something good for lunch," said Eve as her hands tidied her components. "Wait for a moment!" She stood up and left the room.

Being left behind, Vict stood up and followed Eve. "Hey Evelyne! Wait for me!!!"

They ended up in the kitchen together. Avi was busy with her knife, chopping some onions.

"Let me help you," said Vict, who didn't know what to do there.

Eve took a glance then continued what she was doing. "No. I don't want you to burn my kitchen."

Vict flinched to what Eve said. 'Am I that bad at cooking?' He tilted his head and his eyes locked to Eve's hand that had finished slicing the meat and started with the cooking.

It didn't take long for the food to be ready. After combining all her ingredients and cooking for five minutes, Eve took a plate and served the food. "Here, I made it special for you."

Vict accepted it with a curve on his lips. "Thank you Eve. Now, you also have to eat," he said when Eve sat in front of him with her plate.

After eating, they were ready to continue their work. But before that, Eve went to her fridge. "What are you doing?" asked Victor when she opened it, but he didn't get his answer.

As the answer, Eve took out ice cream and chocolate from it. "I need them," she smiled innocently and chuckled.

"Hey, are you sure you can take that? I don't want you to get sick." Victor never wanted Eve to get sick. It was enough with her workload, if she ate something that could cause sickness, something bad could happen.

"But Vict…" She pouted. "You know that I need to lift my mood. I still have something to do as well!" she kept whining, talking about how bad her mood was due to her projects and what she had to do.

Eve was the type that loved sweets the most. She used to eat a lot of chocolate or ice cream in order to lift her mood. Her productivity also depended on her mood. If she wasn't in a good mood, then she couldn't work properly. That was why she kept a lot of chocolates and ice creams.

"Eve, you're restless already! I don't want you to have a cold because of the ice cream and chocolate," Victor frowned, telling her seriously. His hands were holding Eve's shoulder and his eyes met hers.

Eve sighed. "Okay, alright." She put the ice cream and chocolates back. "But let me have at least this one okay?" She kept only one small chocolate in her hand. 'I can't make him worry about me, but I also need to recharge my mood.'

"Okay, fine. You at least need some since I can't stand it when you explode," Vict chuckled and messed Eve's hair up.

"Yo-YOU!!!"
