What Is The Truth
“What’s there in the file?”
Andrew asked from Sarah and she forward file towards him.
“She has all the proof that she acquainted Stefan, but we can’t say anything because Stefan is denying to recognize her.”
Sarah said with a deep sigh and rest everybody nods their head.
“That is because he is not in his sense, otherwise how come he don’t recognize me?”
Betty retort immediately, like ready with the answer on the tip of her tongue.
“I have never seen any husband and wife didn’t recognize each other being drunk.”
Amy immediately retort being fret. Since her son is back, she has a high requirement for the daughter-in-law for her extremely talented son; he was in trouble when Sarah supported him and now she is pleased with Sarah because his son is happy, but now this out of a blue daughter-in-law is giving her headache.
“As Sarah said, documents are correct but we need to verify it first and until Stefan would say anything in his full sense nothing could be decided.” Andrew said.
“Alright then we will discuss this matter tomorrow, brother Andrew, give that file to me I will make someone verify these papers.” Daniel said.
Everybody nods and moved towards their respective directions, Andrew gave file to Daniel and walked, but Betty’s voice stopped them from behind.
“Where will I go till then, I am here only for my Stefan?”
“You can live anywhere as per your convenience, but outside the Walters palace, butler send the guest out.”
Julia said in ordering tone and everybody was about to move when Betty took more steps towards them and sat on the couch with her luggage.
“I am not going anywhere, I am legal daughter-in-law of Walter's family, why will I look for the place out of this house?”
Andrew frown by Betty’s attitude, including everybody, but Sarah was calm, she was expecting something like this from Betty.
She is here with some purpose how will she go from here silently?
“Even it will affect the reputation of Walter clan that their legal daughter-in-law is wandering out of the palace and they married their son to a rich man’s illegitimate daughter, isn’t it?”
Betty’s words were a clear threat for the Walter clan, she said with proud and implicate an accusation on Walters.
“You, how dare you threat us, do you know who we are, we are Walters, we will just sway our finger and you will not be find in this city anymore.”
Jack said with rage, but it didn’t affect Betty, she curled her lips and smirk evilly.
“You rich people can do anything, but can’t suppress my voice from anywhere.”
“Jack, no need to argue to the girl like her, call the security now and let them deal with her.”
Andrew ordered and Jack was about to pick intercom when Sarah meddles.
“Big uncle, let it be, don’t chase her out.”
Everybody was stunned by Sarah’s word, how could a woman let another woman enter her house who is trying to step on her marriage.
A triumphant smile appeared Betty’s face.
“Sarah, why are you letting this woman enter your house who is trying to claim your husband as hers.” Amy said.
“Mom, at present she has a tag of daughter-in-law of this family, so we can’t give her a chance to go out and ruined Walter family’s name. Let her be here for a day until Stefan can give a clear answer regarding her and her documents could be verified.”
“I think Sarah is right, let her be here for one night.” Daniel said.
“Alright.”
Andrew also agreed to Sarah, then Sarah called the butler and ask him to make arrangements for Betty.
It was quite late and Betty’s untimely arrival made everybody late from their routine, with frown everybody dispersed towards their respective directions.
“Sarah, I am telling you, you are doing a grave mistake by letting her enter this house. I hope nothing bad will happen with my son.”
Amy said to Sarah anxiously, but Sarah assures her.
“Don’t worry mom, nothing will happen, I won’t let anything bad happen with Stefan, that’s my promise to you.”
Amy nod and walked towards her room and Sarah towards her room, but before she could enter Betty appeared in front of the door and blocked her path.
“Don’t promise something which can’t fulfil.”
Betty looked at her stylish nails and said with attitude.
“Excuse me.” Sarah frown.
“The servants of Walter palace made mistake they mistook me as a guest and send me to the guestroom, but my room is here and your is there.”
Betty points her thumb towards Stefan’s room at her back, then towards the guestroom.
“Don’t fly so high Miss Betty James, that’s what your name is, right? You are only proved the daughter-in-law of this house with some fake documents that need to be verified yet and still cannot prove yourself even acquainted to Stefan, so be comfortable in the guest room because this room is mine, wife of Stefan.”
Sarah said calmly and pressed her lips with a fake smile.
“Soon Stefan’s room, he himself and his everything will be mine and you will be out of the house.”
Betty said confidently and Sarah was confused what made her so confident, but Sarah covered her emotions well.
“We will see when the time comes, but for now let me enter my room, my husband must be waiting for me.”
Sarah said with gritted teeth, pushed Betty aside, entered the room and slammed the door on Betty’s face. Betty was jealous and furious by Sarah, she clenched her fist and walked from there by stamping foot.
‘Ahh, this woman Betty is prepared very well, she has all detail of the family, my family, about me and even she knew where is mine and Stefan’s bedroom either, all this can’t be a coincidence, somebody between us is helping her.’
Sarah thought about Betty’s behavior and moved towards the couch because today drunk Stefan is already sleeping on the bed.
“They want to verify the papers, although I didn’t react, but I am fearing from inside, they are Walters, if they will come to know about me being fraud then I will end up in the jail.”
Betty was pacing in the room anxiously and talking someone on the phone.
“Don’t worry, nothing will happen, nobody will come to know anything about the papers.”
“But, those papers are still on those Walters’ hand.”
“They will give you back your papers with respect, that’s my guarantee, only you have to deal with Stefan.”
“You don’t need to worry, I know how to deal with him.”
Betty said with an evil smirk.
