Noah woke up, back on earth. He reached for his phone to check the time.
2:32 AM, Friday 29th of January
Noah unlocked his phone to check his messages. He got a message telling him his luggage had arrived in country S. It would be delivered to him by today afternoon.
"I'm up already I might as well have it deliver to me right now." He messaged back that he would like to have his luggage urgently deliver to him. It cost extra but he didn't mind.
He was then given a message of confirmation that the luggage would arrive in 20 minutes by drone.
Noah got up and took his pills for the day. He then searched up the eternal battlefield on the web. From what he knew a mana wave had already had happened on earth and 10,000 people had entered the eternal battlefield at the beginning of January.
After surfacing the web he didn't find much, there were a few posts but most of them quickly had people calling them out for being fake.
The longest thread he was able to find was actually had people discussing how to end having such a dream.
Going through it Noah couldn't help but sigh.
"I had a similar dream as well, but after I died in it I haven't had it since."
"I agree, when I died in it, I stopped entering the weird world."
"Does it hurt if you die?"
"It's just a dream, dying in it doesn't actually hurt."
Thinking about it Noah was glad he had read the introductory book and entered through the access point. Having entered through an access point, he had been teleported and given a house rather than awakened in the middle of a city or town in the eternal battlefield.
The house and books in it was a special privilege given to those who entered from an access point.
It was clear to him that this was reality. For others, it wouldn't be difficult to assume they were in some type of realistic dream.
"I wonder how much they'll regret it when the eternal battlefield completely merges with earth..." Noah then stopped searching as he got a message from the drone and arrived.
Noah went downstairs and found an open area nearby. He then asked the drone to land. The drone located Noah and flew down from a high altitude to land next to Noah. Noah signed on a touch screen on the drone and took off his luggage.
He then carried the suitcase up all the way back to Alice's apartment. He opened his luggage and took out a change of clothes and entered the bathroom. He took off the clothes he was wearing, which was Alice's oversized pyjamas he had worn before falling asleep.
Taking off his shirt and he looked in the mirror he saw the two lockets still hung around his neck. He still hadn't given Alice's locket back to her. He didn't plan on giving it back unless Alice asked for it back.
His gaze then landed on the light blue snowflake tattoo. It was the symbol branded on him to show that he was the successor for the Winter Style of the Secret of the Four Seasons. It had to be scorched on using a metallic rod heated by burning a special type of wood. When he had gotten it had been black in colour now after 8 years it had slowly lightened and turned into what it was today.
He changed into workout clothes and left the apartment. The nearest gym was a distance away. He got in a taxi, arriving at the location in twenty minutes. It was a branch of one of the gyms he normally went to so he was able to directly enter.
Exercising daily had long since become a habit to him. With the eternal battlefield looming to cause chaos over the world he needed to train harder. He decided to increase his time for now. Although it wouldn't make his attributes higher it still helped to sharpen himself physically for a fight.
The gym wasn't empty even though it was 3 AM. Noah doubled his regular workout routine. He needed to get to his peak level of fitness again.
After working out he entered another part of the gym, it was a boxing training area. Noah found a sandbag to practice his punches on.
Around the time of the 2048 Olympics, he had stopped training in everything other than fencing. When he was eight, he had first picked up fencing, by the time he was ten he had multiple martial arts teachers, teaching him kung fu, karate, jujitsu, judo, taekwondo, kickboxing and so on. He had spectacular talent in all of them and decided to train in everything.
He progressed quickly in each martial art style and started training in other weapons. He started learning other styles of the sword, he had started seriously learn to shoot guns. He had even started learning the bow but stopped since it was getting too much for him.
Later on, he stopped having so many classes and had Alice's father teach him everything. It was also when he started learning 'Secret of the Four Seasons: Winter Style'. Father-in-law taught him everything until he left for country A.
His schedule had returned to having multiple classes. However, the biggest change happened when he couldn't contact Alice anymore. He would spend the time he would've spent video calling training. This eventually turned into a method for him to cope with his stress when he found out his parents were lying to him.
By the time he was sixteen he was training like a madman to escape from the bodyguards trapping him. It was also why he was so good at fighting groups since he would regularly fight them off when he tried escaping.
Noah finished training for the day and went back home, he made breakfast and Alice woke up soon.
Noah stood opposite to Alice who sat and ate on the kitchen counter.
"Alice, I'll be transferring to your school. We'll have to start classes by next week."
Alice paused for a moment, "Okay." She didn't want Noah to get involved in her matters at school but knowing that he wasn't going to listen she didn't say anything to stop him.
"I'll have Sebastian take care of my transferring and your uninformed days off. We will have to start going from Monday."
Alice nodded and continued eating.
"Are you mad I made the decision to transfer to your school without consulting you?"
"No. It's your choice." Alice answered indifferently.
Noah could tell she was mad but that wasn't enough to stop him.
"We still have three days off, where do you want to go today?"
"I want to continue horse riding," Alice said. She was determined to learn how to ride a horse after getting a taste of riding one.
"Sure." Noah and Alice finished breakfast and left the house.
They spent the day together until they fell asleep back home.
....
In the eternal battlefield Alice and Noah walked to the nearby spider dungeon, they were going to enter it.
Alice walked into the dark cave first Noah was following behind her. He had told her that they would keep their regular formation where Noah supported Alice from behind as she fought with the monsters.
They did just that, Alice attacked with her sharp wolf fang. It was a much stronger blade than she normally used and scratched the metallic spiders. Noah shot from behind her helping her by distracting the spiders from her while making sure strength boost was always active on her during a fight. He had a lot more mana so he didn't need to be frugal.
The metallic spiders along the way weren't difficult for the both of them to fight at once.
They reached the boss room. Entering the room, Alice saw how dark the room was and activated her skill 'Dark light'. With the 2 points in mana, she was able to finally activate it. A small ball of light formed above her left hand and lit up the room.
She spotted the Mutant spider queen above them. Noah started shooting as he had a clear view of the Mutant spider queen. The spider queen dropped as Noah moved back while Alice confronted it in close combat.
Covering her from behind, Noah thought it was a great opportunity for Alice to train her close combat skills. He had already gone through the fight once himself and was confident in protecting Alice. So he wanted to use the spider queen as a training opponent. Its high defence and speed made it a difficult and long battle. With only the bottom side being its weakness Alice would need to figure out how to close in and attack.
The fight went better than expected. Alice was able to easily manoeuvre around the spider due to her silent trait. With Noah's support, she was able to keep a strong defence and blocked the sharp spider legs.
It died and several things dropped.

Her status page hadn't changed much except she was now level 1.
There were Five drops: 270 copper, a dagger called Spider Shard, and three books.
Alice picked up the dagger.
[Spider Shard] (F Class)
Strength +8, Agility +8, Physique +8
The dagger was worse than the one she was currently using so she just kept it away. Not only were its attributes lower it didn't have skill.
Noah then gave her the three skills to take a look at. All three were enhancers, Two were bronze while one was iron.
[Razor Blade (Bronze): Increase weapon sharpness and damage.]
[Heavy Blade (Bronze): Increase weapon weight and strength.]
[Restrictive Hit (Iron): certain attacks have the ability to momentarily stun.]
"So which ones do you want to learn?" Alice asked Noah.
"I think we should keep them for now and try to get better rank ones," Noah answered. From what he understood enhancers made mastery skills stronger, but they mainly helped people who weren't as skilled in the weapon reach a stronger level.
This meant the effects you gained from them were possible to be gained through natural skill through training. He had trained in the sword and gun for a long time and was highly proficient in using both of them. This was why his skill level was rising quickly. It was also why he chose that getting a higher class skill would be better than letting sword mastery stay at F class.
However, he didn't want Alice to do the same. Alice hadn't trained in dagger mastery that long and showed a basic level of skill.
He wanted her to get the best enhancers she could get as it would help her improve the fastest.
"If we're so picky won't it take forever to get enhancers?" Alice remarked as she went through the enhancers.
"We'll just have to be quick about it. Let's run through this dungeon again." Noah said.
The two left the dungeon and took a break for a while then went back in. Everything had returned to how it was. Noah insisted on doing another run even after that one before going back to camp and packing up.
The two then got back on the horse and galloped back to the town.
In the two runs, they made a total of 530 copper. Had five enhancers drop: two were bronze, three were iron. After that, an F class skill book for Web shot dropped as well.
