Open-Beta

The day passed quickly and slowly but steadily Eidiri grinded through the field of Bezerk Beavers that he had discovered.

By the end of the day, he had collected over 15 Bezerk Beaver pelts, something that he would be able to sell off later.

Not to mention, he had steadily grinded himself to Lvl 12, increasing his level once again since the Caverns of Laroshia expedition.

During his grinding, Eidiri had also achieved another breakthrough with Fury Fist after repeated usage, buffing the overall attack damage of the skill as a whole, doing 7 hit points of damage per strike.

After logging off for the day Eidiri nervously went to bed after completing his nightly routine (brushing his teeth and all that), eager for what the open-beta tomorrow would bring to the table.

The next day after Rowan had finished with his chores and student responsibilities, he immediately signed back into Tyranny, eager to see what new things were going on now that more people had officially joined the game.

Quickly checking into the community tabs, Eidiri quickly learned what new changes this influx of players had caused.

The forums were filled with confusion, many people were asking for free carries, calling out for those more experienced to give them aid.

Something that Eidiri hadn't expected though was that these new players had spawned in an entirely new area.

Even in the event that someone had taken pity on them and offered their aid, they wouldn't even know how to give the aid in the first.

Something that had greatly benefited these new players though was their spawn location.

While the NPC's where they had spawned didn't offer their aid or provide weapons of any sort, they had at least given them a sheepskin map, a tool that was undoubtedly valuable.

A major problem had sprouted out of their kindness though, this being that the person who had received this map was a guild player.

As such, recognizing how big of an opportunity this was for the upstart guild, they had ransomed the knowledge of the location where the players of the closed-beta were.

This level of scumminess, while deplorable had reaped many short-term benefits for the guild, initiating a grand journey to where the village of Faversham.

According to the estimates of the players, they would be arriving in just under 4 days, that was of course, given that no unexpected circumstances arose.

Not to mention the fledgeling player base economy began to develop as well, many people making offers to exchange coppers, silver, and gold for real-world currency.

Such a path of development was only natural after all, many companies had their eyes on the prize, each of them looking to snag a piece of the cake.

Rich whales were making outlandish offers, going so far as to make deals such as offering thousands of dollars for skill books.

They were rich and because of that, they had to be better than everyone else. Yep. Totally.

Therefore, they invested large amounts of resources in order to ensure their development, establishing small powerbases for their parent's organizations to develop off of.

But that didn't really matter to Eidiri as of right now, all he had to do was focus on his own development right now.

The money would naturally come later.

Turning away from the forums, for now, Eidiri went back to the brutal slaughter of the Bezerk Beavers.

Avoiding their deadly tail slaps, all Eidiri had to do was stay in their blind spots.

Such a tactic was actually quite common, stay in their blind spot and they can't really land hits on you, such an idea was really quite universal.

Applying this knowledge to the game allowed for Eidiri to not only avoid their powerful tail slaps, but also the razor chompers they possessed, the ones that enabled them to chew through sturdy wood.

He continued to dance around them, his feet staying light, making sure to avoid their attacks.

After he had grinded for a bit, he would contemplate a bit over his fighting experiences, developing his own knowledge of combat.

After he had had enough of the Bezerk Beavers, he returned to the forge, making a couple of grey tier weapons, things like the knives and daggers he had previously auctioned off.

Of course, he didn't forget about the quota of weapons that he had agreed to supply to Protinus as well, ensuring to have a constant supply ready for the players each week.

For his efforts and work, he received hefty rewards in the form of monetary payments to his account, more than enough to pay for over 5 years of rent if he were to move into the city by himself.

And just like this, Eidiri slowly settled in this routine, grinding, forging, lazing around, checking the community, etc.

The span of 4 days passed quickly, and it was now the weekend.

After completing yet another tiresome assignment, Rowan began to consider the idea of dropping out of college.

'What's the point of me staying in college anyways? It's just a waste of money at this point. I've got myself a steady income, options for future development. Tyranny will pave the way for me. I should probably talk with mom and dad first though.'

'Huh, I'll do that when they get back later. Anyways, the new players should be here by now, would be interesting to check 'em out," Rowan thought to himself.

With that thought in mind, Rowan got back into the Paradox VR Recliner, readying himself to enter Tyranny.

When he spawned back into the game, there were several messages for him to go through, scanning through them, he sent a quick reply to Rachel, informing her that the weapons were ready for pickup.

After that was settled, Eidiri took a look outside the village, wanting to see what chaos the other players were causing.

After all, they were players. It's only right to have little faith in the player base, some weird stuff was probably going down.
