Haven Square, Home to All Things Player-Related

It was a short walk to where the players had established a small camp of sorts.

The dirt road was bustling with life, players were offering all kinds of services, crying out to advertise themselves.

There was a carpenter that had arranged a neat little station amidst all this chaos, hawking his wares, proclaiming that there were the cheapest and affordable weapons they could receive.

Sporadically, Eidiri would eavesdrop a little on the conversations as he passed by, getting more in tune with what was going on.

"Excuse me, umm... where do we go to get our starting classes?" an obviously new player asked.

Several jeering laughter was all they got back from the veterans who had already gone through this, unwilling to help they merely watched on for the entertainment.

Thankfully, enough, before Eidiri s himself stepped in, a kind bystander approached the clueless fellow.

"There are no classes in this game. It's rather novel, isn't it?" the bystander said. "Anyways, in this game, we're left to our own devices, to struggle and make it based on our capabilities."

"What I'm trying to say is, the game devs don't give handouts." the bystander finished.

The noob only nodded in response, slowly digesting the information that they had just been made aware of.

This piece of information incited an uproar among the crowd, many people were crying out how such a situation was impossible, or how black-hearted the developers were.

"Wait, so then how are we supposed to survive then?" cried one.

"No weapons, no skills, we're all helpless!" another one pitifully screamed.

Their lips curved into frowns, obviously displeased with these features, despair was vividly marked onto their faces, if such a sight were to be painted, it could be displayed as a piece of emotional art capturing the trait of despair.

While most of the new players languished and wallowed in their feelings of self-pity, others stood out from the flock, showing expressions of determination, ready to conquer this challenge that stood in their way.

'These few decided to take the initiative,' EIdiri observed, taking mental note of those who stood out.

These players eagerly asked questions seeking the knowledge of this new world before them

However, they were greatly disappointed when they came to know that the veterans themselves didn't even know too much either.

Those who were obviously rich went straight to the person selling weapons, opting to just buy loads upon loads of weapons.

Very quickly the stock of wooden weapons was depleted, traded for money of course.

With this event unfolding, many of the new players snapped out of their funk upon seeing that the wooden weapons were all being snatched up.

As such, they rushed to the weapon stands, hoping to secure some sort of weapon for themselves.

Eidiri continued on his stroll, seeing players ran into trees to test the feeling of realism in the game too, of course, the ones that decided to 'test' the censorship functions.

These ones were obviously met with disappointment when they couldn't strip and frolic around naked.

Anyways, Rachel had informed Eidiri that some Protinus players had been able to secure spots in the Open-Beta, asking if Eidiri could go and greet them.

Being the person that he is, Eidiri of course accepted.

So after taking a look at the player culture, he swiftly made his way to where the Protinus players were said to be assembled.

Upon arriving at their rather shoddily constructed camp area, one of the players walked up to him wielding a wooden weapon.

"Who are you?" they asked. "This is the camp of the Protinus Guild, if you don't have any business with us, then stay out," they firmly said.

"Hello there," Eidiri politely greeted. "I'm Eidiri, I believe Rachel your one of your Guild's representatives has informed you guys why I'm here right?"

"Oh, your Eidiri?" they asked. "My apologies for not recognizing you. We'll love to know what we're dealing with here. My name's Gustav by the way. And yes I'm of Russian descent," the now aforementioned Gustav said.

Gustav then turned around to the rest of the Protinus group, a group of about 7 or so members, after making his introductions.

"Hey, guys! Eidiri's here. Time to ask your questions," Gustav said.

The people calmly went up to Eidiri, introducing themselves before taking their seats again.

"So what's the deal here. What's going on and what do we need to do?" one of them, Ali, if Eidiri remembered correctly, asked.

"You already know that there's no set starter guide here. So I'll be taking the role of that. Essentially, we should treat this as the real world with fantasy elements tossed into it," Eidiri lectured.

"So we've started out with no resources whatsoever. Luckily enough, I progressed a decent amount along with Ken and Edgar. You'll meet those 2 later."

"So I'll be providing you guys with some basic weapons for now. These are just so that you can obtain a head start over the other players."

"Do not expect these free handouts in the future, anything in the future that you wish to obtain will need to be earned, through compensation, favors, whatever. That's not the point right now."

"This game utilizes your typical leveling system, along with stats like that of attack, defense, all of that good stuff. You'll be able to view that information through your character profile page."

"Not to mention that there is apparently a social hierarchy that the NPC's pay particular attention to, this depends on capability I think."

"This basically means, that unless you're powerful enough, you have no rights in the eyes of the NPC's."

"For instance, right now you won't be able to enter the village without knowing some sort of skill. This might also apply to something that me and my friends have obtained also though but you'll be informed of that later."

"With all that covered, I'll distribute your weapons and leave you to your business then," Eidiri said.

Taking the bag that he had been carrying, he dropped it on the ground with an audible thump, "You guys can discard your trashy wooden weapons now, You've got better stuff now," he said with a smirk.

"Well, I'll be off then, got many things to do," Eidiri then followed up, turning around to leave, waving his goodbyes.
