Business Really Do Be Booming

Eidiri had finalized quite a large batch of weapons, all he needed to do was add leather grips and then they would finally be completed.

Wiping the sweat off of his brow, he stepped back from his work-station, admiring his work with satisfaction.

Arranged neatly on the table were several Azure Knives, their edges glistening with fresh oil, the blades sharp as well.

These were only but a portion of the stock that EIdiri had prepared over the last couple of days.

After he had decided on this sort of 'gacha' business, he had devoted the majority of his free time in the forge, working hard at shaping the metal to his desires.

When he needed to take breaks away from the metal-working he would go out to the fields and farm some monsters, steadily accumulating Exp.

And just like that, he continued to grow, and over the last couple of days had increased his Level to 14.

But for now, Eidiri had to finish what he was working on first, reaching over to grab the leather strips that he had purchased from the village leather-worker previously.

He couldn't keep mooching off Jarid's supply stocks after all.

As such, using the gold that Jarid had rewarded him previously, Eidiri bought his own supplies, ores and all.

For now, he was using the blacksmith's storage rooms also, but in time Eidiri hoped to expand his operations outside of Jarid's in order to stop being an inconvenience.

Slowly but surely, Eidiri firmly wrapped the handles of the blades with some Low Tier Magical Hide from that of the Water Oxen, a type of cattle used in farming to help promote crop growth.

Their leather was particularly known for its softness, and as such, it was one of the better leathers among that of its tier to be using.

After the knives were finally wrapped, Eidiri packaged them along, seeing as how they were now ready for sale.

Now in order to keep it as 'gacha', Eidiri had custom ordered special boxes made from the cheap, common Pinewood that surrounded the village.

He was able to order over 100 boxes from the local carpenter for the price of a single silver, if everyone were to buy the 'supply drops' then EIdiri would stand to make a killing of about 12 gold.

That was if the people were actually buying with in-game currency.

But the problem was that the players didn't have in-game coppers, silver, or gold.

As such, the gacha system would be put on hold for now, and instead, he would be selling normal weapons for the players, like that of the Vibrant Knives.

These would go for cheap, affordable prices (real-world cash), or as an exchange for resources.

From what Eidiri had learned after some monitoring of the forum, some of the players had gotten contact with some workers that frequented outside of the village.

From these workers, they were able to learn the basic harvesting techniques; of course, the workers didn't teach them entirely out of the good of their own hearts but rather that they had enlisted some of the players to help their labor in exchange for teaching them the technique.

As such, by making the price of the weapon higher than that of the resource cost to make the weapon, Eidiri would still be profiting.

Not to mention, he wouldn't have to go out of his own way to gather ore or pay someone else to supply him with it.

This option of resource exchange would allow for players to actually afford weapons if they didn't have a ton of cash,

Gathering the weapons in his bag, he sent out a quick post that he had prepared while the metal was solidifying within the molds.

It basically publically informed the people that he would be selling more weapons at set prices.

In addition to this little tidbit of information, he also stated the available payment options for his services as well.

"500 for a standard blade. If you don't wish to pay with cash, then we can also conduct an exchange of resources."

"I'll be taking 3 bundles of Low-Tier Magical Ore, Herbs, Leather, etc. 3 bundles of pretty much any Low-Tier Magical Material will let you be able to obtain a Low-Tier Magical Grade Weapon as well," the post read off.

"Keep in a note, that similar exchanges will be conducted for other levels of ore as well as long as the store has stock."

With that little announcement made, Eidiri made his way to Haven Square, it would take time for people to take notice of what he had written anyways.

With the time he had now, Eidiri planned on setting up his stall with the help of Edgar and Ken.

Quickly, he messaged Edgar and Ken from the in-game friends chat, asking for their help.

They responded rather swiftly as well, respectively replying, "I'm down," and "Sure."

In just under 10 minutes, the 3 of them assembled in Haven Square, moving to an open plot that no one seemed to be using.

After that, they set to work, clearing the area of dead leaves and small little shrubbery.

Eidiri set about hammering together a little stall of sorts, assembling the foldable counter that he had also commissioned from the carpenter.

After hanging a small metal plate saying, "Aspen" above the stall, their Aspen store was now officially ready for business.

Slowly but, surely attention was drawn to their humble stall, most likely either drawn from the announcement Eidiri had made or the curiosity of another business in the Square.

A young, rather chipper girl approached the stall, saying, "Excuse me. I couldn't help but notice your stall, but it seems like you don't have anything for sale."

"So is this actually an open business orrr...?" she trailed off.

"Why certainly," Eidiri replied, "It's just that the goods we sell here are quite valuable, as such, if you want to view our goods, then it would be best to make an inquiry as to what weapon you would like to see."

Then Eidiri pulled out a slip of paper from his bag, "Here, take a look at this. This is a pamphlet describing what's available for sale as well as their stats. If anything on that sheet interests you, just let me know."
