"Which Aisle?".
"It was Aisle no. ...." I was about to say but his expressions didn't seem right as if he was looking for something, not specifically someone. He had a smug look on his face which made me uncomfortable and doubtful.
"TELL ME ALREADY!" the man suddenly shouted, making me flinch.
"I-it was Aisle no. 8" I blurted out at the speed of light as he squinted his eyes in suspicion.
"Aisle no. 8?" he asked suspiciously as I confidently nodded.
"That brat sure runs fast" the man mumbled to himself
"He is in Aisle no. 8 " He shouted, making me flinch. Some more men came out of nowhere and went towards the opposite direction where Aisle no. 8 was located which is quite far since the library is quite huge.
I sighed in relief as they left and as soon as they went out of sight I turned towards the aisle I came from, where the boy was hiding.
When I reached there I could see the kid still hiding at the end of the aisle since he was still visible enough to be found by a naked eye. I ran towards him and he got attentive by my footsteps. When I reached near him he suddenly jumped and pushed me with massive force making me fall hard on my butt.
"Ow!!!" I exclaimed as he got startled because maybe he thought it was one of the men. He just stood there like a statue not moving an inch.
"Not even a 'sorry'? Ow...you know you have pushed me quite hard, right?" I asked standing up rubbing my butt while he was just staring at me not uttering a word.
'Is he mute?' I thought since he was not saying anything.
"Anyway, I just came to inform you that those men who were following you, I told them wrong information so you have some time to run from here okay?...Here" I told him and handed him a pouch full of gold coins. He blankly took it and just stared at me and then at the pouch and then me again.
"Guess you really are mute. Poor kid" I mumbled to myself, pitying him.
"This much gold might be enough for you to survive at least 2 years if you use it smartly. I don't know what you're going through but I know it's hard. Don't lose hope okay? There might be someone who is waiting for your safe return." I said as he looked down and shook his head, making me sad.
"So you have no one?" I asked and he nodded. I got silent for second but suddenly spoke,
"Me! I will be waiting for you!" he just stood there dumbfoundedly staring at me.
"This money, it's not for free. You have to repay me, okay? Pay me back in the future, got it?" I said as he was still staring at me but he slowly nodded after hearing me. I smiled and extended my pinkie finger towards him as he looked at me blankly.
"Promise?" I asked. He slowly extended his hand and intertwined his pinkie with mine.
"Now go before they come here again" I said, pushing him. He hesitated first but soon started running. When he was about to get out of sight he slightly turned back and mouthed 'Thank you' which I couldn't understand because of the distance between us.
"Well Sabrina you did a good thing. He will probably forget our promise, I just said that to make him a little better but who knows...he might be cursing me for asking to return the favour back" I said to myself shrugging and left from there and as soon as I was about to turn right to get out of the aisle I again! bumped into someone.
"What the hell!! Is everybody finding me as the only person present here to bump into!! Ow my poor Bum!" I exclaimed, rubbing my butt but two arms snaked around me lifting me up.
"Brother Ryan?" I said seeing who the person was.
"Miss, are you okay? I saw a few suspicious people earlier which is why I came. I'm sorry for not obeying your orders." He said.
"It's okay, no need to be sorry but....Can you put me down? it's kinda awkward" I said and he realized that he was holding me up this whole time. He quickly put me down and said,
"I'm sorry for my rudeness but are you hurt anywhere? you fell quite hard...".
"Oh no I'm fine, it's just I have to change my butt after reaching home since I think it might have been squished like a mashed potato by the amount of contact I had with Mr. Ground today" I said smiling sarcastically as he just nodded.
He has gotten used to my boldness, nice Brother Ryan! you are learning. At first, he just got flustered by my bold comments and told me not to say such words out loud but now he knows that I won't budge a bit.
"Let's go, My lady," he said and I nodded.
As soon as I entered the carriage Anne jumped on me making me and Anne fall on the seat together.
"Ow, ow, ow, my butt" I said fake crying.
"What happened? Are you okay? We saw some weird man entering the library? Did something happen? Why are you five minutes late?" Knox suddenly showered me with questions making me confused.
"Woah woah, relax lobster" I said, pushing off Anne who was all over me.
"Sabi, are you okay?" Anne asked and I nodded reassuring them.
"*Phew* Then why are you late?" Knox asked.
"It's just FIVE MINUTES!!!!" I said.
"You are STILL LATE!!! even if it's five minutes or five seconds" he said, making me scoff.
"Gosh, Knoxy, you are sometimes really weird," I said, shaking my head. And that's how the whole ride went while chit chatting.
"We have arrived Young master and My ladies" Sir Brian announced as the carriage stopped in between our mansions. We got off and bid goodbyes and turned to leave to our respective houses but suddenly Knox stopped me by my arm. I turned around as he spoke,
"The day after tomorrow, don't forget" he was a little nervous. I laughed at his cuteness and replied,
"Yeah yeah, my Knoxy, how can I forget? You will be leaving for The Royal Academy. Don't worry we all will see you off okay?" I said ruffling his hair as he blushed a little, making me chuckle.
"Good night now, you have a long day ahead. You have to do packing and stuff. Now go, Anne has left a while ago" I said to which he nodded and wished me back before leaving.
I was tired and as soon as I entered the mansion hearing a voice made all my tiredness vanish.
"Sister!!!!" a little boy came running towards Sabrina, engulfing her in a heartwarming hug.
"Shaniee!!!!" I said, swinging my little brother.
"*giggle* Sabi, you will fall at this rate, you are not that old either," Mom said, coming towards us with a smile.
"But I'm very strong, I will not fall and neither let my little Shanie fall as well" I said, booping Shane's nose making him giggle and the Duchess just awed seeing the love between her children.
"Sister, you are late today as well, I missed you" Shane said while pouting as I chuckled at his cuteness.
"I'm sorry, I just stopped by the library which took a little time" I said ruffling his hair.
"You went to the library again?" Dad said coming down the stairs. I ran towards him as he lifted me up in the air hugging me, making me giggle.
"Yes, I wanted to get a new book which is why" I said pointing towards the table where I placed the book before hugging Shane.
"What is my little angel researching about? You never tell us?" he said, pouting, making us giggle.
"It's a secret" I said, winking at him as he laughed, placing me down.
"Yes yes My lady, it's your secret. We won't ask anymore okay? Now, let's go eat dinner?" He asked to which we all nodded.

After having dinner in which Mom and Dad had a little fight over who Shane loves the most to which he replied "Sister!" making them quiet and sulk a little, it was cute.
I headed back to my room after giving them good night kisses which became a normal routine. I quickly freshened up with the help of Fannie and now I am sitting on my study table staring at the book I brought back from the library.
"The Chosen Divinity...hmm...never heard of such a book before. I have been visiting the library for more than three years but there was no sign of such a book before. Did it arrive recently?" I asked myself while looking at the book.
"It has a weird logo on it" I said touching the raised logo which was of a stylish crescent moon and sun. I tried to open the book but it wasn't opening.
"What the heck?! Why is this not opening?" I said while trying to open it with all the force in my body but it didn't budge a bit.
"What the hell is wrong with this book?" I said sitting back on the chair getting irritated and tired by all the effort I made in opening that book.
"I don't want to waste the night just because of this book. Every day and every night is precious to me ever since Aunt Rosaline's health is getting worse." I said helplessly.
I am currently trying to find a way to awaken Anne's power earlier than the expected time because things are not getting any good. Aunt Rosaline's health is worsening and it seems she does not have much time. But according to the novel she will die next year so why is it happening now? Is it because I have changed the plot somehow? Is it because of me?....
'....Three years!!....I have been searching for three years...! First my goal was to find the Agnola but there was no clue of how or where to find her? So I started to look for a way for Anne to awaken the divine powers but that is also not going anywhere....*sigh* I feel so helpless.' I thought as my eyes got teary.
*Knock knock*
I quickly wiped my tears as I heard a knock on the door.
'Who is it at this time? I told Mom that I won't be practicing tonight since I'm tired. So who could it be?'
I thought while walking towards the door. I opened the door and saw Shane standing in his night outfit holding his rabbit plushie. I smiled at him and asked,
"What are you doing here, Shanie? It's so late, why aren't you sleeping?".
"Um...a-actually...I wanted to sleep with...sister today...can I?" He said nervously, fidgeting with his hands. I melted at his cuteness. Who can say no to such a cute angel?
"Of course Shanie. Is that even a question? Come on in." I gestured to him to come in as he jumped with happiness and ran towards my bed and jumped on it while I was just smiling fondly at his cuteness.
"Sister, are you busy?" Shane said, sitting on the bed as I gave a confused look. He pointed to the study table where the book was placed. I understood what he was saying and shook my head as a no.
'What can I possibly do with that useless book?' I sighed again, getting irritated as I remembered about the book.
I quickly went towards Shane and joined him in bed. I sang him a lullaby since my family loved hearing me sing. After a while he slept while I just stared at his cute face. His chocolaty hair resembling mother, his greenish-blue eyes which he took after father and few features like nose and his lips resembled me. He is an angel that makes all my worries disappear in a second.
"I don't know how I will live without my little brother. I promise I will always protect you!" I said and kissed his cheek.
After staring at the ceiling for a while Sabrina also slept while holding Shane's hand. But little did she know that something resting on the table was glowing.
