Mia watched as the garage doors closed behind the last of the cars. "What else do you need help with?" Mia asked. "No, the rest we can do ourselves. Take Bella to your apartment for now. I will come and help her settle in. Amber, you can go with her if you want," Red said.
Amber took a box of things and said, "give me Bella's lead and you can bring the box. I will explain everything once we get to your apartment," Amber said. Mia picked up the box and lead Amber to her apartment. Once inside Amber looked around, "you have decorated the apartment really well, it's beautiful," Amber said.
"I think Mike's wife decorated it, but I have really taken the time to thank them yet," Mia said. "Why not?" Amber asked. "Because up until yesterday I was sort of angry with them," Mia admitted. "I can understand your anger, they didn't need to send you to the facility," Amber admitted.
"So where do we start first?" Mia asked trying to change the subject. "Unpack Bella's things, 'll explain what everything is for," Amber said. Mia unpacked Bella's things there were two big silver bowls. A dog bed, a blanket, a few dog toys, treats and dog food. "This is a lot of stuff for a dog?" Mai said. "Bella needs everything, now fill one bowl with fresh water and place it on the floor where she can drink it," Amber said.
Mia took a silver bowl and filled it with water and placed it in a corner where she didn't have to worry about stepping in the bowl. Amber showed Mia how to measure out Bella's food and placed it next to the water bowl. Mia placed Bella's dog bed and blanket next to her bed and used a small box that she didn't need anymore to keep Bella's toys next to her bed.
The dog treats and food she kept in a cupboard. Amber looked at Mia and showed her the brushes and dog shampoo. "Bella needs regular treats especially when she did what you asked of her to do or when she is good. It's never a good thing to reward bad behaviour. She needs daily brushing and at least once a month a bad but you can do it as often as you like," Amber said.
"Wow, so shampoo goes in the bathroom and so does her brushes. I'll place it on the counter next to my brushes," Mia said. "Are you sure you should be placing it next to your thing?" Amber said. "Well why not, I have to do these things daily so I might as well leave it where I can see it. That way I will always remember," Mia said.
"Here is a daily task calendar, on it you will see a list of things you need to do every day," Amber said. Mia checked the list and saw what it said. "Bella needed a daily walk, play in the park and obedience training. Mia looked at Amber and said, "so she needs to train daily just like me?" Mia smiled excitedly. "True, but having a dog can be a big responsibility," Amber said.
Mia sat on the bed and Bella looked Mia deep in the eyes. Mia called Bella and she jumped on the bed. "Mia you should not be teaching Bella to sleep on the bed. That's why she has her own bed?" Amber scolded. "But she will be lonely, and this way I won't be lonely," Mia replied.
Amber smiled and said, "Red said that might be your reaction that's why we house trained her, for you," Amber said. Amber and Mia took Bella out to the garden where Mia used the grass as a bathroom. "Now comes the not so fun part," Amber said. "What do you mean?" Mia asked. "Picking up after her," Amber said.
Mia didn't have a problem cleaning up after Bella and threw it away in the trash. Bella and Mia were talking in her apartment when Red knocked on the door. Mia answered the door and Red saw Bella on Mia's bed. "You're going to let her sleep on the bed with you?" Red said. "Yes, I don't like the floor why should she sleep on the floor?" Mia asked.
"You know this means you will have to wash your bedding regularly and give her something for tick and fleas. In some areas it's a must, the dogs can get really sick," Red said. "I don't mind it will keep me busy and Uncle Mike happy that I am not so much in the forest training," Mia said.
"It will make all of us happy if that happens," Amber said. Mia made everyone a cup of coffee and asked, "should I make Bella coffee two?" Red looked at Mia and said, "Bella only drinks water. Some things can make her sick, but I will give you a list of things you can give her and things you should not be giving her," Red said. Mia gave Bella a dog biscuit and served Red and Amber coffee.
"I like her so much, thank you red. What do I ow you for her?" Mia asked. "Nothing she is a gift from all of us to you. May you never be alone again," Red said. It wasn't long before Luna came to Mia's apartment. Together with the four of them about everything that has happened. They even promised to go on a walk with the dogs the next morning.
The dinner bell rang and Mia joined everyone in the dining hall she took a blanket with her and placed it on the floor so that Bella can be with them. Mike and Kevin looked at one another when they saw a change in Mia they didn't think they would see. Mia was calm but what surprised them was the fact that they had to silence the four friends several times during dinner that night.
Mike came over to Mia and asked, "what are your plans for tomorrow?" Mia looked at everyone and said, " think we might take the dogs for a walk in the morning and then play with them. I want to learn how to take care of Bella," Mai said. Mike looked at Kevin and said, "this might just be the best idea we have ever had."
"Whatever you do tomorrow, take a radio with you, If you get into trouble that you can radio for help," Kevin said. "I saw Clara watching me today, Uncle," Mia said. "I know it's Zack's bright idea," Mike said. "Do you think they are responsible for all the kidnappings?" Mia asked. Mike turned around and asked, "what makes you think they are responsible?"
"The fact that they spy on people, lock them up in isolation and they know when they see a valuable person," Mia said. "That does make sense Mia but without proof, there isn't anything anyone can do. Besides like I said there is no proof they took your parents," Red said. "Yes, but in theory it makes sense. They are monstrous and how come dangerous elemental users disappear not long after they ran into them," Amber said.
"It might make sense I remember my mom was getting nervous the last few weeks whenever she returned from work. She started begging my dad out of nowhere to move back to the clover base. Something about their past that was catching up with them," Mia said.
"Your mother was referring to their past with clover?" Mike asked. "Yes, but before they could talk to me, they disappeared," Mia said. "Our past, it couldn't be could it?" Sam asked.
"What is it, Sam?" Mike asked. "Do you remember the mission your father died in? They said Zack was involved but they could not prove anything?" Sam said. "Yes, what about it?" Mike said but his eyes widened in shock as he realised what Sam was talking about.
"Wasn't Clara dating Zack at the time your father died?" Kevin asked. "Yes that must be what Zara talked about," Mike said. "I thought you said she didn't see anything?" Kevin said. "What Zara saw the night our father died, was not something we could explain but if she were to say it again it would explain what Zara was talking about?" Mike said.
"What do you mean? Did she actually see something?" Kevin said. "Yes but no one believed her, if she was telling the truth then the target wasn't John but Zara and if they figured out Mia can do it two its would explain why Clara would not leave her alone," Mike said.
"Your talking in riddles Mike?" Kevin said. "You and John have mega elements that come in the form of a flame or lightning, maybe wind or storm like Mia but Zara's mega element was the ability to create new elements. Mia has that same power, but how strong it is I do not know," Mike said.
"And you didn't think we needed to know about it?" Kevin said. "No, becasue Zara wasn't supposed to have children but she had Mia. That's why the council doesn't recognize Mia as their daughter. Zara's children would have inherited her power and there is a possibility that Mia inherited both their powers," Mike said out loud.
"That would explain why Mia is so strong and attract so much attention," Sam said.
