Chapter 55

Back at the hotel, Mia sat on the bed drawing a picture. It was another memory of her parents. Her father was holding her mother and they were both smiling. She drew the forest and the stars. Kevin came into Mia's hotel room and saw she was drawing again.

"What are you drawing?" he asked. Mia showed him the drawing and Kevin's eyes grew wide. He took the drawing from Mia and looked at all of Mia's drawings from page one. Kevin realised from looking at the pictures Mia drew. That his brother was truly happy. "They seemed to be really happy together?" Kevin asked.

"Yes, but I would say that they had their good days and their bad days. Sometimes mom won the fights and sometimes dad won the fights but they always did what was best," Mai replied.

"Don't we all, do what is best for our family's?" Kevin said. Mia smiled and said, "this was the evening dad explained what the next level in my training would be," Mia said.

Kevin looked at Mia and asked, "what kind of training is that?" Mia looked at him and said, "training in the artic to use my full power, mega Storm. He wanted to see how strong it really is," Mia said.

Kevin raised an eyebrow and asked, "what did he mean to accomplish by testing your power at its full strength?" Mia looked out of the window and said, "dad wanted to see how much I can control. Apparently, he was preparing me for a test, if I passed it I would be allowed to do more things on my own, like having a job," Mia replied.

Kevin looked seriously at Mia and asked, "sound more like your grandfather than your father. He had this habit of pushing us to our limit," Kevin said. "What was he like, I mean my grandfather?" Mia asked.

Kevin looked at Mia and said, "it's not an easy thing to talk about, your grandmother couldn't handle the amount of attention she got from being the queen. And after she had my elder brother she divorced the king and met my father about a year later. He wasn't the man she thought he was, and after she had me and well your father. She discovered the real man she fell in love with. Your grandfather was a gang leader that went to a great about of effort to create brand new mega's. He started to experiment on us. The royal forces discovered who we were after they busted your grandfather. Unfortunately, they didn't believe that your grandmother had nothing to do with the whole thing and we ended up in the system. Before they send Mike's father adopted us," Kevin said.

"So we are not directly related to royalty?" Mia asked. "No, we have the same mother different father. Maybe I will take you to the country to introduce you to your grandmother and uncle. He does care about us but you can never tell anyone we're related okay?" Kevin said.

"You said we might get a mission to go there. Will it be an easy mission?" Mia asked. "It's usually not that big of a deal, but we do help out where we can. Missions can be different depending on what kind of trouble you're looking at but usually, it's just locating missing people," Kevin said.

"Yes, and for me, that means more things to draw," Mia said. Kevin smiled and said, "we don't really get free time to enjoy things but I suppose where we work will be new to you," Kevin said.

"Yes but first we need to get our paperwork in order," Mia said. "Yes and that might take a while," Kevin said. The next morning Mia got her truck she was happy to see it fixed. She got in the truck and stopped at the gas station to fill the tank. When Mia noticed another black truck standing across the road. Mia paid for the fuel but kept listening for the truck to leave but it never did leave.

Mia started the truck and drove back to the hotel to fetch all her stuff. She turned down the road that headed back to the hotel and parked in front of the hotel. She got out and locked the truck. Walking to her room Mia noticed everyone was packing their things. "Mia, where have you been?" Kevin asked.

"I filled up the tank uncle but what is it with the black trucks all of a sudden?" Mia asked. "What do you mean?" Leo asked. "There was one parked outside the gas station, and when I left it followed," Mia replied.

"Do you think it's the hunters?" Leo asked. "It could be Jasmine, the lady from uncles kingdom, Clara or the hunters. So who whats to walk over to the truck and ask?" Mia asked.

A few of Leo's team members peaked out of their rooms and said, "if that's the hunters your not getting me anywhere near them," one said.

Kevin took a deep breath and went to take a look at the truck. He looked worried for a second but relaxed when he saw a familiar face. "Billy, you sure got here fast?" Kevin asked. "Yes, I can't believe John is missing but the question does he really have a daughter?" Billy asked. "Yes, she's driving the blue truck and she warning she can stand her ground against the hunters. Bella, unfortunately, can't but she was trained very well," Kevin said.

"How do you know?" Billy asked. "Because Mia got ambushed by hunters last night and Bella came to get us. Unfortunately, Mia didn't need any help but the forest got slightly burned," Kevin said.

"Wait are you saying that was her?" Billy asked as he looked at Mia. "Yes, John made sure she could defend herself in any situation," Kevin said. "How does she do without John or Zara around?" a woman asked. "She is doing okay but warning she has Johns instincts. If she senses danger she will leave," Kevin said.

Billy looked at Mia and said, "she looks a lot like John," Billy said. "Yes, and it seems she is okay with joining us for the mission back home. I don't think leaving her with Mike's team is going to be okay. His team does not respond well to her presence," Kevin said.

"So I have heard, any of her habits we need to know off?" Billy asked. "Nothing much, I mean she is a dog handler and Bella follows Mia even without a leash. Mia is an artist though she can both draw and paint. She draws mostly memories at this point but I have noticed in the past that she will draw things from photos and such," Kevin said.

"An artist and a ranger?" now that is a first for the royal family. "Is she talented?" Billy asked. "Yes, she got her mothers talent," Kevin said.

Mia came to Kevin after she gave the receptionist her bedroom key. Kevin noticed her coming to him and asked, "don't tell me you're already ready?" Kevin asked. "Yes, I don't own much but I don't like the look of that black truck across the road. It just spells trouble. We should move soon," Mia said.

Kevin looked at the truck and Billy took out a mirror and looked at the truck that was a park across the road. "That's not one of our trucks Kevin," Billy said. "We should leave soon?" Mia encouraged her uncle. "Calm down Mia, everyone is still packing. We will be on the road soon," Kevin reassured her.

Everyone soon finished packing their trucks and Mia let Bella sit on the seat next to her. Billy gave Mia a radio and said, "it's on the channel we use during travels. You can communicate with anyone on the team using that radio," Billy said.

"Thank you," Mia said as she placed the radio between the seats. Mia made sure Bella was comfortable before starting her truck and followed after Kevin. As the team left the town Mia stopped at a red light and noticed an all too familiar black fan passing them. For a moment she couldn't take her eyes off it and then she saw them again. "Mom, Dad?" she said. Almost getting out of the truck her fathers eyes grew wide when he saw Mia with his truck.

Billy noticed Mia wasn't driving when the light turned green and then he saw what Mia was looking at. John and his wife Zara are in a van across the road not far from Mia. When the men noticed Mia looking at them they left town in the opposite direction.

A voice over the radio broke Mia's concentration. She notices the light was green and followed behind Kevin. To her surprise,, Kevin pulled over to the side of the road. He came to Mia but Billy met him halfway. "We saw John and Zara, they are moving them again and Kevin this group is dangerous. We should get out of here while we still can," Billy said.

"Are you okay to keep on driving?" Kevin asked. "Yes, I think my dad would want us to get out while we can," Mia said but in her heart, she desperately wanted to go and free her family. After all,, they are her parents and her closes family.
