Chapter 8

The following morning I woke up before my alarm went off. I slowly got out of bed and made my way to my closet to get dressed for the day.

I pulled out a pair of Jean shorts and a blue t-shirt and a pair of black socks. I got dressed and headed down to the kitchen to get some breakfast before these meetings are to begin.

Grams is always already in the kitchen cooking our pack their meals every day. I don't know where we would be if we didn't have Grams here with us.

"Good morning sweetie." Grams smiled.

"Good morning. Anyone else awake yet?" I asked.

"Well, I heard your mom and dad a little bit ago in the office. They were waiting on you to get up." She chuckled softly.

"Better not keep them waiting." I laughed softly and grabbed a plate of cinnamon pancakes. I finished eating but man Grams is a damn good cook. "Thanks for the breakfast," I told Grams and left my plate in the sink.

"Of course sweetheart. I love you! I will see you later." She smiled.

"I love you too!" I smiled and walked out of the hen and headed for my dad's office.

I heard chatter from afar and the voices got louder as I approached the office door. Before I could even knock someone hollered "Come on in Sofia."

I opened the office door and I swear my jaw could hit the floor. There were like 2 dozen Alpha's here with their Luna's Bettas and Omega's. "Good morning everyone! This is my daughter Sofia. She will be part-taking in today's meeting so she is aware of what we are preparing for." My father's voice was loud but stern.

I smiled softly and said, "Hello!"

Everyone's "Hello." was quick and it was time to get to business. All sudden this sweet tea mixed with Jack Daniel's came to me. "What is that?" Eva whispered.

"I don't know," I spoke softly.

"Let's follow it." Eva giggled.

I smiled softly, "Okay."

"Yay!" Eva yelled.

I chuckled and moved across the office and I reach toward the door to pull it open there he stood staring down at me. His brown eyes reminded me of sweet honey. "Hello, beautiful, Luke spoke up.

"I-I hello." I stumbled on my words.

He smiled softly at me, " Were you looking for me; as I was looking for you?"

"No-no." I blushed bright red.

"It's alright, beautiful I was following your sweet vanilla scent mixed with a little of honey." He smiled and reached for my hand. "Shall we?"

I reached out towards his hand and laced my fingers with his. My dad was speaking when we walked in. "Kai is planning on doing something big and drastic. I am unaware of the danger currently."

"Why would he attack the biggest pack?" Asked an Alpha in one of the Eastern Packs.

"That I am unsure of." My dad spoke up.

"It doesn't make any sense to why now," Mark asked.

"I think it has to deal with something about the treaty that I did not renew. I will have to call Kai and set up a meeting with him. This is why I brought y'all today. Just in case something does happen." My dad stood up and faced every single one of the wolves sitting in front of him.

"Let us know if there is anything you need help with. We will stand with you, Alpha Alec." Ashland Pack Alpha stood up and smiled and once that happened everyone followed standing up and coming to shake my father's hand.

"Thank you, u everyone! You may go." My father smiled and dismissed everyone.

"Would you like to go for a run?" Luke smiled at me.

"Maybe." I smiled softly.

"Do it!" I heard Eva yell.

"Of course! Let's go." I smiled and begun to walk towards the woods.

"I'll change over here." Luke pointed.

I smiled softly, "Okay."

Luke ended being shifted before I could shift. I started to shift; hearing every bone-cracking and snapping into place.

"I'm over here," Luke whispered through our mind link.

"I'm coming," I said and trotted towards him.

"My wolf's name is Onyx and he is very happy to meet yours." Luke nosed closer to me.

"My wolf's name is Eva she has been anxious to meet you." I laughed softly.

"Let's go." He nosed me forward

Luke seemed to know these woods like me. His wolf was pure white with a little bit of black in him. He was gorgeous, breathtaking, and he was our mate.
