An Insane Amount Of Order

Lucia scouted the entire city, went to all florist shop she could think of but to no avail. She could not find the right flower for her mother.

There were shops with white lilies but she none of them could appeal to her like the one she saw in the first slower shop. After searching for more than an hour she finally gave up.

"Darn it…" She cursed silently because what else could she do except that.

Since there was nothing she could do about that she wondered if she might as well prepare something new as a gift.

"Its just flower...I can always give them to her the next year." A smile flashed on her darkened face as she cheered herself up.

She was not going to feel sad and torture herself on this beautiful and auspicious day.

.

.

The florist lady felt a little bad about the young lady but what else could she do. Her work ethics were based on first come first service. She could not bend the rule for a single girl now could she?

As she was about to prepare some bouquets the door to her shop opened. Wiping her hand on her apron that was wound around her waist, she shouted out a greeting to welcome the customer.

"Hello..Welcome.." She stopped midway of what she was saying when she saw who her customer was.

"Ohh mister, why are you here again?" She looked in surprise at Jack who stood near the door showing a polite smile while he wiped the sweat beads on his forehead with a white tissue.

"Err…sorry to disturb you again Mam but you have a new order to make." Jack took out his card.

"And the boss wants it done as soon as possible."

Mrs. Botania took the card and looked at what the emergency order was. She gasped, her soul almost flying out of her body when she saw the number of orders.

"T-T-This….are you sure?" She asked stuttering because she really could not believe the insane amount of request.

Jack himself was not able to believe the order of his boss but sadly the reality was slapped right into his face.

Shaking his head he gave a long sigh.

"Yes, this is the order of the boss himself."

"But you know deadline right?" Jack needed to make sure she heard him say the deadline.

Because Mrs. Botania was too engrossed in checking out the order she did not hear him before. Looking apologetic she asked him to repeat.

"Its today." Jack dropped the bomb on her.

"W-What??" A shocked gasp left her mouth.

"Yes." Jack nodded his head in agreement. "Money is not the problem….As long as you finish this order by tonight properly he is willing to pay double the normal price." Jack made the intention of his boss known to the Florist lady.

"By tonight it will be hard." Mrs. Botania shook her head slightly.

"Did something emergency sprang up that he had to make a sudden order?" She asked as she placed the card on the counter.

'That's the same thing I want to know…!!!!!!' Jack lamented in his heart. Even he did not know what was so important that he was made to go out and make an order midway.

***A few moments ago

"Jack, turn the car around." Ryan spoke calmly when they were almost halfway to the company as if he was asking him to just get up from his chair.

With a sharp breaking sound, the wheels slid on the road before coming to an abrupt halt on the sideways.

"What?? Why??" Jack turned around his eyes almost flying out of his hand.

"Jack!!" Ryan eyes him dangerously.

"I just asked you to turn the car around not to stop so abruptly." Ryan was almost thrown forward when the car braked suddenly.

He would have hit his face if he had not been sitting firmly on his seat.

"Ahh….so-so-rry boss." Jack hurriedly apologized. Well he did over react when the boss asked him to turn the car around.

But why won't he??

They had a magazine photo shoot to attend in an hour or so.

"But we need to hurry up for the afternoon shoot." Jack justified his action with a legitimate reasoning.

"The photographer for the shoot is known for his dislike of people who are not punctual." Jack shuddered at the thought of the idea of his boss getting in trouble for getting late for the shoot.

"That can be handled." Ryan curled up his lips in a smile.

Ryan scribbled something on his notebook and handed out the paper to Jack. "Take this and give it the florist lady."

"Tell her, I need it done by tonight by 6 pm."

Jack nodded his head as he took the paper. He looked at the content his eyes almost popping out of his head in shock.

"Boss, this.."

"Hurry it up." Ryan did not give him a place to refute.

"But.."

"Didn't you say we don't have much time." Ryan threw back his words back at him making Jack eat his own words with a bitter heart.

"But if I go to the florist what about you? " Jack asked Ryan with an innocent face.

"About that.." Ryan gave an evil smirk, one that Jack was familiar with whenever he had something devilish cooking in his mind.

"Boss I don't think you are thinking what I am thinking right?" Jack gave a nervous laughter scratching his head as he looked at the smug face of the devil.

"Hehehe…I am fucked up." Jack stared at his face knowing the misfortune that was befalling him.

****A few moments later

.

.

Jack was left stranded on the road while Ryan drove the car back to the company.

"A devil in skin of human." Jack cursed as he shouted at the car that was moving away from him at a fast speed.

After walking great deal of distance.....no it's a lie.

***A Few moments later....

Jack found someone to give him a lift and now he was right inside the flower shop he had left around fifty minutes ago talking with the same lady.

'I hate my life.'

"T0T"

Jack cried bitter tears but soon calmed down since he had other important things to take care of apart from lamenting his miserable life.

"Then I would drop by in the evening to retrieve the order personally." Jack gave a slight bow and walked out of the same shop for the second time in a single day.

"30 White lilies…" Mrs. Botania gave a sigh. It was going to be a long and busy day for her. She called the nursery she bought flowers from as she ordered another 30 white lilies to be delivered to her shop as soon as possible.

"I wonder if the young lady from before will again walk past this shop." Mrs. Botania hoped she could make one and give it to her if she passed by the window.

But for now, she was going to get real busy.

.

.

"Boss, I have done the work." Jack called to inform Ryan.

"Good, now hurry back to the company." Ryan spoke in a low but clear voice.

"Someone is waiting for you."
