I wanted to bring you here

"Auntie, how much is this?" Lucia pointed at a big watermelon. She looked up at the midday sun that was getting hotter and hotter.

Since she had been wandering around for a long time, she was sweating.

"Oh my.." The lady who was cleaning dishes got up when she heard someone asking for the price.

The old lady selected a big and fresh watermelon. "I will sell it for 100 but since you are such a beautiful young lady I will give you discount."

Smiling she placed the watermelon on the table before her.

"Hmmm..how about 90?"

Lucia did not have any experience in shopping let alone bargaining.

"For 90 Only?" She looked at the shopkeeper with big bright eyes which were twinkling as she looked at her.

"Err..yeah…" The lady felt intimidated by how sincerely happy the girl was. Normally, the price could be decreased to 50.

Yes, that was normally because people who came to that area for shopping were normally those house wives who were cunning about bargaining.

'Doesn't this lady know how to bargain?' She wondered inside her head.

Taking out the cash from her purse, she handed it to the aunt and took the watermelon.

'Yes, this young lady doesn't know art of shopping…no doubt about it."

"Thank you aunt." Lucia was happy since she felt it was cheap.

"Wait girl.." Although it was a nice profit for her, she felt she was cheating the silly girl who was new to this shopping and bargaining.

"Since you are my first customer, take it for 60." Giving a deep sigh inwardly she decided to decrease the price..

"Really?" Lucia was overjoyed.

"Yes..yes….now have nice day girl." The lady waved her hand at the girl who was walking away happily.

"Tch Tch…the youngsters now days don't even know how to shop…" She went back to her dishwashing.

.

.

"Now, I need meat and some vegetable." Lucia wandered around the area looking at vendors and the shops.

By the moment she was done buying all of the ingredients her pocket and wallet was empty.

After all not all people were like the lady form the watermelon shop.

Looking at her empty purse, Lucia cried tears in her heart. Everything was much more expensive than she had thought.

"But it's all worth it." She straightened her hunched back cheering herself up. "It's all for the surprise party of my mom."

As she was walking she felt she was being stalked again.

'Is it that Ash boy again?' She contemplated in her heart.

She gave a sharp turn but there was no one. She looked at the busy crowd of people walking but saw no one suspicious.

"Weird, but maybe I am just being too overly conscious." She shrugged her shoulder and walked to the station.

.

.

A car swerved right past her and stopped a few distances away from her.

"Hop in." Liam rolled down the glass pane on the window and looked at her; his expression showing I won't take no for an answer.

"Just in time." Lucia exclaimed happily making Liam raise his eye in suspicion. Normally she was always trying to avoid him like a plague but today she was actually happy?

'Is she finally getting used to me?'

Yes, Lucia was definitely getting used to him.

Lucia was getting used to the unannounced and unexpected appearance of the man before her whenever he pleased.

"Here help me!" She extended her hand that contained the shopping bags. "I have been carrying them the whole time and my hands feel like they are going to fall off."

"...…"

"What?" Lucia looked at his face with his tightly shut lips.

'Oh, that explains it.' Liam felt his existence was even less important than that of a driver when he realized she just wanted a ride from him.

'Still, its better than nothing.' Liam had completely forgot that he was supposed to be a cold-blooded loan shark at this point.

Liam came out of the car and took most of the bags by himself. He kept them in the back seat and held the door open beside the driver seat for her.

But…

Lucia directly went in the backseat.

Making herself comfortable she looked at Liam who was looking at her calmly…

Yes calmly but it was probably calm before the storm.

"What are you waiting for? Drive." Lucia motioned him to sit and get driving. "I am afraid the watermelon might get watery by the time we reach home."

She picked up the bag with the watermelon with a worried expression.

'What about me who is standing in the sun opening the door for you?' His eyebrows twitched in anger but he calmed down.

'It's all right…I just need to make sure she doesn't run away without paying the money.' Taking a deep breathe he entered the car and wore his seatbelt.

"Your house right??" He let out a tired sigh. He had just been to hospital and discharged Jeff.

Last night too he had been sparring with Ryan and keeping him company.

And now he was acting as a chauffeur for one of his debtors.

Lucia could see the built up fatigue and his exhausted body. She wanted to have him go and take a rest but

'Since you are so insistent on following me, might as well let you do that.' Lucia leaned back on her seat and closed her eyes.

She had been working late all night and now she had been shopping and running around all day.

It had been a tiring day for her as well.

.

.

"Hey, get up." Liam patted her head.

"Hmmm…" Lucia had unconsciously fell asleep on the way back home. Opening her eyes lazily she looked at the blur face in front of her.

The face looked unfamiliarly familiar as if she had seen him somewhere.

"Bro-other?" She opened her mouth only to spit out this.

.

"What?" Liam coughed out a mouthful of blood when he heard her call him brother.

'Brother?' A vein or two popped up on his forehead.

"Wake up you stupid." His pat turned to a loud smack on her fore head.

"Ughhh.." Lucia opened her eyes in shock and pain.

The pain was more than enough for her to wake up from whatever she was dreaming.

"That hurt you stupid shark." Clutching her forehead she glared at Liam who too was glaring back at her.

"We have arrived."

Lucia looked at the place they had arrived.

"Wait…why are we here?" She asked her eyes almost popping out at the place they had arrived.

"This is not my home!!!"

"I know...But I have wanted to bring you here when I saw you." Liam spoke without looking back at her, his voice stuffed with emotions that Lucia could not decipher.

'This man...' Lucia looked at his broad back. 'He has too many different characters.'
