Her Own burial

Lucia peeped out of the door and saw they had arrived at a graveyard that had been taken well care of.

"A grave yard!!!" Lucia looked with a shocked expression. This was the place Liam had been wanting to bring her??

What the hell!!

What was he planning?

Lucia gulped down her saliva nervously and asked Liam who still had his back turned to her.

"The last time you were going to take me somewhere…..Was it here?" Lucia asked nervously.

"Yes…I did say I wanted to bring you here.." Liam nodded his head in approval.

"Is that so? Hahaha…" A nervous chuckle left her mouth but her thoughts were in chaos, no doubt about it.

'Who the hell brings someone to visit a graveyard?' Lucia was panicking in her heart.

'Is he going to threaten to kill me if I am not able to pay back the debt in time?' Lucia contemplated in her heart.

Since she had been busy with other things and even the shark boy acted like a good friend around her so she had been lax and laid back, forgetting she owed him million dollars debt.

'The first thing I do…I will go back and apply for all the shares in real estate..' That was the only thought in Lucia's mind as she stared at the back of Liam who was lost in his own thought.

'But only if I get out of this alive that is.'

But…

He definitely was not planning to kill her.

Lucia was a curious cat after all.

She wanted to know whose grave they had come for.

She once again stretched her head to look at the white grave stone on the grave squinting her eyes as it was kind of far from the car.

The name looked a little familiar..To get even a clear look she moved towards the door and tried to make out the words.

Lucia trembled slightly as she was looking at the grave when she felt the world go blur and everything spin around making her eyes hurt.

But she could not close her eyes.. No she could not do that for what she saw was something she had never seen before.

Her own burial.

An image flashed through her eyes…her body dressed in red being carried by men in black clothes and being placed inside a coffin.

They did not even bother using a white sheet to cover the deceased body.

Right before her eyes she saw herself being buried under the soil.

That Lucia was none other than her…the one who had died in the past life.

Within a few second she saw an illusion or was it reality that had happened? She did not know but it felt too real to be an illusion.

Lucia felt sick inside her stomach, her body trembled as the memories from the past came rushing to her.

She felt nauseous and her stomach was doing a hip hop dance making it unbearable for her.

.

"Aren't you coming?" Liam asked when he found out that she was not following him.

*No answer*

*Only Silence*

Seeing that Lucia was adamant on sitting inside the car, Liam once again looked back at her again. Seeing that she was shaking a little he felt she might be sick or must have hurt herself somewhere.

"Are you okay?" He placed his hand on her forehead leaning down but felt she was fine.

Not feverish at all and only a little sweat. He noticed her wet hair and changed his verdict.

Nah..she is sweating way too much and the culprit is not the heat.

"What are you afraid of?" He spoke gently as he knew those signs; sweating and trembling were the sign of being scared.

Lucia did not hear him speak or feel him touch her forehead. The only thing that was lingering in her mind was the scene of herself being buried.

She could feel chills crawling on her hands…she tried pinching herself to wake her up from the nightmares she thought she had already forgotten but the slightest reminder was more than enough to freeze her on the spot.

'Warm….It's warm…' Lucia felt herself being wrapped up in a strong scent. Her hands stopped trembling and without any warning she was clutching Liam who was hugging her tight, his strong hands covering her protectively.

"It's allright.." He was patting her back periodically like as if he had been doing this for a long time. "I am here…you don't have to be afraid." He spoke softly, his voice that normally sounded crude had a gentleness that warmed up her heart.

Lucia felt her agony slowly washing away with the warmth she felt. Shutting her eyes tight she cut off the bitter memory of the past.

Lucia finally came back the reality and when she did the first thing she did was separating herself from Liam.

"Y-Y-You…w-why w-ere you…we…you..me.." She stuttered trying to justify why they were hugging.

"You are still afraid?" He asked her seeing her panicking.

'Of course I am damn it.'

Lucia cried inside her heart but could she do that?? No she was afraid of angering the man before her since he was the lne who helped her before.

She looked at him like a wounded rabbit from the car.

"You.." Liam looked at her with a little strict face but it turned out to a helpless look.

"Jeeze..what am I going to do with you?" He ruffled the hair on her head.

'She is not sweating anymore…good.' A sense of relief fell on him knowing she was okay now.

"Better?? Not afraid anymore?" He wanted to ask her why she was so afraid suddenly. It was too sudden to the point of almost making him lose his mind.

When he saw her dead eyed as she trembled, he felt an unknown sense of loss on what to do for her.

He had never felt this panicked nor frustrated at himself.

Lucia shut her eyes, took a deep breath and let out a long sigh and slowly nodded her head.

"Yes…I am much better now.." She glanced at him and added in low voice, almost in voice that only she could hear.

"Thank you, Liam."
